Well the trick is to not use the carrot when you can help it on the small fences. You don't need a carrot to jump them. You still need to use them fairly often. Just try to space them out a bit. Also the place with two fences in a row. Use one carrot to jump the first two fences and one more to jump the third fence. Also hug the corners to help your time out a bit.

so thats how you beat it...i didnt try that i jumped the lower fences without using the carrots and the bigger ones using the carrots...i ended up 50 or 51.

You get a cow as the reward. Something that some people don't know is that you can play Epona's Song to the cow and get free Lon Lon Milk. So the only real use for this is getting free milk from the cow in your house. Even though you can get milk from any cow in the game with Epona's song.

Yeah I didn't really beat it until I learned the trick to it. You have to try to keep full carrots as best as you can. And at the end with the 3 fences you have to jump the first 2 with 1 carrot and then the last fence with 1 more carrot. You might be able to jump all 3 with one carrot I don't know if I have tested it or not.
