It does no good to flush the pouches incident to a colonoscopy since they promptly fill back in a day or so, but it does no harm either. I also leaves both the GI doc and the patient with the satisfaction of a clean colon... if only temporarily.
I was just diagnosed with diverticulosis and while this video might seem unpleasant to some; I find it to be satisfying to witness the outpouching cleaned out!!
