If you want a basic phone get the iphone. If you want a phone that is completely customizable and has features and capabilities up the ass then get the droid.
The thunderbolt is the superior device.hands down because of the data network.if you do a speed test,u will see its actually faster than your dsl home internet.certain apps with the iPhone require wifi.I never use wifi and my phone flies.and in my opinion itunes suck.the sound quality is terrible plus there is no equalizer to fix it.the thunderbolt let's you stream hd movies from netflix on your phone or teathered to another computer.again wifi not needed.
It's too bad android phones' interfaces suck and the graphics get mangled, apps work on some devices and not on others. Frustrating and difficult to learn as every phone has a different way of working with the Android OS that cannot be universally updated because of the variety of device designs.
Translation: if you want the most current android OS, you have to buy a new phone. Like PC's - want the new Operating System? Go pay Michael Dell more money.
iPhone is soooo overrated! Why would you want to have the same phone as everyone else? The iPhone is basically an iPod Touch that you can call people with. If you already own an iPod Touch, I'd skip getting the iPhone.

@peopleareinmyhouse I also seem to remember back when the iphone 3GS came out that there where a record number of returns due to the fact that many iphones where not working at all. All the iphone has ever been is a very over hyped device that is a mid range phone at best hell when I went to go buy my phone a few months back the iphone was $50 bucks more then the phone I wanted and it did not and still does not do half of the things my Android phone does.
Between these two phones the ThunderBolt wins and any sane person will agree I can think of many reasons why for one the iphone is lacking LTE speeds and ANYONE who says that they don't want it or need it has NEVER used LTE data. They iphone is all hype and is not the phone that many people seem to think it is. Not saying that the T-Bolt is perfect because its not [NO PHONE IS] but its still far better. If you want an easy to use device that's full of stupid excuses then buy the iphone.
Iphone is better cuz when you jailbreak it you get the app called cydia. Cydia is an app thats like an appstore with mostly free stuff. You could also download widgets, animated lockscreen or background in iphone 4. For the new iOs5 apple is not copying the notification system they just want to make the iphone better.

iphone is just better, android phones are good and fast but iphone just has more content and variety. When jailbreaking you get just so much content and the apps kill other phones. Street fighter 4, Grand theft auto, Fight night, Fifa 11, Madden, and more apps that just will not go to the android market.

iOS 5 fixes every complain aaron brought up, with that kind of combination the iPhone is going to be unbeatable for a while. now keep in mind that the iPhone 4 is now almost a year old and it can still compete and win agenst the newest android phone. not to say that the thunderbolt is absolute rubbish, it has its ups and downs, just like the iPhone, but factoring all of that in. the iPhone should have won

In general, Moderate & fancy user you may go for IOS. Advanced user like more freedom/ control & productivity use android devices.

But, with exception of one thing (over clocking), iPhone jailbreak has all of those features.

Also, in iOS 5 in september, the notifications will be better than androids because the notifications will also be in the status bar, so, he should do a dog fight when iOS 5 is out, and clearly see that the iPhone kicks the thunderbolt out of the water
I dont like sense anymore, if a device lags in webbrowsing and almost everything, i think the device unattractive, I want to use a phone that's fluid, has no lag and some nice transitions, were can you find those? the iPhone and windows phone 7, so I'm going for android as soon as those problems will be fixed by the manufacturer, my iPod touch 2g is in my opinion still better than the tbolt because it doesn't lag and if i want widgets, free apps etc. I'll just jailbreak it

All the iphone has ever been is a very over hyped device that is a mid range phone at best hell when I went to go buy my phone a few months back the iphone was $50 bucks more then the phone I wanted and it did not and still does not do half of the things my Android phone does.

Between these two phones the ThunderBolt wins and any sane person will agree I can think of many reasons why for one the iphone is lacking LTE speeds and ANYONE who says that they don't want it or need it has NEVER used LTE data. They iphone is all hype and is not the phone that many people seem to think it is. Not saying that the T-Bolt is perfect because its not [NO PHONE IS] but its still far better. If you want an easy to use device that's full of stupid excuses then buy the iphone.

Iphone is better cuz when you jailbreak it you get the app called cydia. Cydia is an app thats like an appstore with mostly free stuff. You could also download widgets, animated lockscreen or background in iphone 4. For the new iOs5 apple is not copying the notification system they just want to make the iphone better.

Also, in iOS 5 in september, the notifications will be better than androids because the notifications will also be in the status bar, so, he should do a dog fight when iOS 5 is out, and clearly see that the iPhone kicks the thunderbolt out of the water

I dont like sense anymore, if a device lags in webbrowsing and almost everything, i think the device unattractive, I want to use a phone that's fluid, has no lag and some nice transitions, were can you find those? the iPhone and windows phone 7, so I'm going for android as soon as those problems will be fixed by the manufacturer, my iPod touch 2g is in my opinion still better than the tbolt because it doesn't lag and if i want widgets, free apps etc. I'll just jailbreak it

Eh, I'll still get an iPhone for the same reason I got an xbox over a ps3. Most of my friends have it and I prefer the apps on the App Store. please no hate, just my opinion.

I'm not crazy for apple or anything, but. I don't think I would enjoy using the thunderbolt... I think the Iphone should have won.
