some people forget that Turner (TNT and TBS) been broadcasting games for a really long time. cant trash them cuz they only limited to thursday, as opposed to tuesdays wednesdays and fridays..as for ABC they totally lost my Interest...i remember I can watch 3 games every sunday on NBC and it was exciting...cant get that now!

These were the glory days. NBA on NBC=Pure Perfection. NBA on ABC is good, with Mike Breen, Mark Jackson, Jeff Van Gundy, Hubie Brown, Mike Tirico, Lisa Salters and Doris Burke but Bob Costas is NBA on NBC. He is the voice. Mike Breen is the best though. :)

well when it was on NBC, to start off, the intro music was just classic. it somehow just brought people together and it just said that its basketball time. there were always triple headers pretty much every sunday, showcasing a huge variety of teams. whenever a game is on abc, it seems its always the heat, spurs, or lakers. its just not the same anymore

The reason I find this so great compared to what ESPN does is because NBC focused on promoting the players and the game. ESPN is focused on promoting ESPN and their commentators. You didn't even see Bob Costas, he didn't need to make some ridiculous comment, insult anyone or use some crazy catchphrase. His commentary was right to the point and it made you WANT to watch this game.
