I think the high notes sounded strained and slightly rough. She has a beautiful voice but should realise her vocal limits. The top three that year should have been Fantasia, J.Hud, and Latoya London-i think these three could rival any AI contestant EVER. The toughest year of AI too, but I was delighted with Fantasia's win. She was soo amazing! My top AI contestants ever:

If my hearing is correct, I think the song is in a lower key than the original, so she did try to put in more in her range, but lower would have been the beginning worse. Just saying that she tried.
