The English voices sound less compressed than the Japanese ones... Also, in the Japanese version, their mouths in the text boxes stop moving as soon as the text is done, but not when their actor is done speaking. The English version syncs up with their voice actor.

I have noticed this same flaw as you did. especially the sound quality on the Japanese ver. I can't stand the sound quality on the jp ver. although they did fix this with starfox assault on GC but I guess stuff happens =P. I thot it was only me who thot this but hey you noticed it too which makes me feel not along in that thinking process XD
