Capitalist countries are not democratic. Socialist countries are far more democratic. Lenin stated:
'Democracy for the vast majority of the people, and suppression by force, i.e., exclusion from democracy, of the exploiters and oppressors of the people--this is the change democracy undergoes during the transition from capitalism to communism.'
V. Lenin "The State & Revolution" (1918)
Thus socialist majority (not minority) ownership of land & industry etc THIS is far more democratic
The Municipal assemblies nominate delegates to one of the 14 provincial Assemblies and the delegates are voted on by the people under the jurisdiction of its Provincial Assembly, the Provincial Assembly nominates delegates to the Highest Branch, the National Assembly, the People vote on those delegates, and the President of the National Assembly is the Head of state. (ike nancy polosi being president as she is the speaker of the house). Voter turn out is on average between 85-95%
For any Fucktards responding to this video, the cuban political System works as follows: In Cuba the Communist Party cannot nominate delegates or have a say in Parliament. The party isn't voted for the candidate is, it is not required to be in the party to run or vote. The only advertisement for a candidate is a biography. Cuba has 164 Municipal assemblies where the people nominate and elect delegates (2-8)
@Hilldebrand the underlying feature of western capitalist fake-democracies is that capitalism will always remain.
You can vote for whoever you choose, but see what happens when you or the party you voted for attempts to get rid of capitalism: that's when the guns will come out
The situation in which capitalists together with fascists and church fought against democraticaly elected communist or socialist party is in no way hypotetical. It already happened in many places many-times in the history. Italy, Greece, Chile, Grenada, ... Also many times the election results were faslficated, lets name i.e. the notorical "errors" of polling machines in the cold-war USA which were done against the Progressive party...
you rant about good ol NZ and democracy right? But the democracy you have in the west is a fake democracy because a timy minority own the land and means of production to the exclusion of the majority.
You think capitalism is democracy? Try changing the capitalist ecomonic system by elections. Do you seriously think the fat cats would allow you to?
This is the dumbest statement video I have ever seen. So now the only way to achieve democracy is to only have one totalitarian party for life! WTF is this guy smoking? Do you even you realize how stupid that sounds? I guess communist brainwashing is still strong among western useful idiots without a reference of ever living under a totalitarian state. 50 years under the same government clan, is that what you really want?? Dee dee dee.
@cubano1979 you are a fuking moron. Your western shit governments are totalitarian. Try voting for a party who wants to abolish capitalism, its will NOT happen. Thus your political parties, your western governments are totalitarian in and of themselves
Cuba's government is really a capitalist totalitarian system, read the news you dumbass. It's too easy to use the greatest capitalist invention of all time, the internet, and abuse the freedoms democracy brings. If you were in Cuba right now you would think totally different but wouldn't be able to express yourself because the totalitarian government forbids freedom of expression.
@cubano1979'' 'Does a person in Cuba has the same right to advocate for Capitalism in the same way as you advocate for communism in New Zealand?'
Thats a difficult question. There have been government attacks in NZ against unions, but it's impossible to generalize. From memory the Cuban Constitution prohibits free speeech that is inconsistent with the principles of the socialist Revolution-but this would need to be re-checked.
Arguably, Cuba is more transparent about restricting free specch. The New Zealand Bill of Rights Act 1990 (section 14) confers a right to freedom of expression, but even this is limitable, see sections 4 & 5 of that Act. Even capitalist countries cannot claim to have complete and unfettered freedom of political opinion.
You're obviously not going to accept my comment since communist can only survive by suppressing freedom of speech. But thats fine, you're the one I wanted my comment to be read by anyway.
Yet your "capitalist totalitarian" system in New Zealand allows you to express your opinion against it freely. Have this youtube account and post videos about whatever you want. A person living in Cuba does not have the same right to express his dislike for his/her system the same way that you have that right. Why is it that communist systems can only survive when all forms of dissent are suppressed?
Good points, but it appears Raul is opening the Cuban markets. Cuba is gradually going along a capitalist road due to harassment from imperialists. Almost like China. Soon it will be the Hispanic version of China (once great, now capitalist). Something must be done!

So long as there is people there will always be war. So it doesn't matter if you are a communist or a capitalist, it's always the same.
Kim1987sc 2 years ago
any party, whether communist etc or whatever they tries to change this capitalism system would be meet by war. That is totalitarianism.
Even if a Communist party were elected the powers that be would viciously fight against them. That is you western democracy-no democracy at all.
Yes, it's a hypothetical, but based upon very real probablity
