  • tilikum?

  • it didnt mean too do it if it did he would be dead...they shouldnt be in captivity anyways they need to stay in the wild where they belong!!!!

  • i remember this incident

  • Orky never had the best eyesight... :)

  • this was clearly an accident but i dont agree with them being in captivity at all

  • Comment removed

  • I bet it for the guy must've sucked not being able to work with whales anymore.

  • He ment to jump OVER him not ON him

P.S i hope he was OK

  • This is an accident. Don't over dramatize or blame it on captivity....or SeaWorld.

  • it was doing a trick but he accidentley landed on him at the wrong time stop calling him a crazy whale dicks

  • it was a freakin accident guys a mistimed cue

  • @corvette8101 NOOO, whales be crazy. can't trust em. can't be friends with whales, just gotta shoot em for the blubber and move along.

  • that was on purpose those whales knew exactly what they were doing

  • The killer whale that landed on him mis timed the trick because of the other trainer signalling it.......if you tell someone to detonate a bomb on a bomb test site and there's someone still in the blast zone then you don't blame the guy that detonated the bomb...you blame his boss for telling him to do it.

  • @TheUltimateRaccoon WHALES BE CRAZY. that fucker went for the throat.

  • @TheUltimateRaccoon no accident. KILLER whale. nature's asshole.

  • no one like to live under control of someone

  • I could read the guys lips while watching this in slow motion. He was saying ** **** (Censored)

  • @dirths Love how you censored your own comment, scrub :)

  • @liljoe4195 Big and tough, I bet you got beat up on the school playground didn't you?

  • @dirths SHUT THE !@#% UP.

  • @dirths See? now your mom wont ground you, because i censored it.

  • he deserved it

  • @FrApSvIdEoSfOrYoU what makes u say that?

  • @187thekid well wales dont belong it those aquariums.......

  • @FrApSvIdEoSfOrYoU i agree, the whale should be in the ocean. But just because he doent belong there doesnt mean his trainer deserved to die.

  • The timing is not off. It was right on point. Then killer whales planned it.

  • bad timing and they blame the killer whale, typical of people

  • That killer whale didn't go crazy, that killer whale went killer whale.

  • i think that whale that crushed him was named Orky? if i remember correctly and he was old and partially blind..he died later on because of some sickness

  • @KingBootz24

it was Orky II, yes, and he was just given the que to jump in the wrong place by another trainer. I think he was nearly 30, I dont remember him being nearly blind though.

  • Even the experts disagree as to why this ended up this way. Some say that the trainer kicked the whale to go faster, and was doing an unplanned maneuver when the larger whale was jumping on cue, and others say that the larger whale was showing dominance over the smaller female, and the guy just happned to be in the way. You even see the smaller whale react, albeit a little too late.

  • this was just an untimed trick-he did not go crazy, if it was, he would show more signs of aggression and agitation

  • Engine? Ha ha, and I'm bitching about language. Atleast my mine was an android typo.

  • Engine who spells anyway "enyway" should not be attempting logical and rational thought. You should go back to school and respect the language you're attempting to speak.

  • I really dont get this. The whale isnt going crazy and its not angry. The thing just messed up. It missed its cue. Its an animal and like all creatures it is capable of making mistakes. If the whale was mad it woulve just eaten the guy

  • @dondaz90 Killer whale goes crazy because it lives in a controlled environment guys, not because i dislike these animals as most of you think this from the video title.

  • @serb4life93 lol the killer whale did not go crazy it messed up its timing. No matter how you look at it your title is misleading.

  • @adetuyi420 actually corky actually turned directions as orky was breaching she changes course at 0:18. It would have been perfect if the guy wasnt humpng corkys dorsal fin. Still sad though but glad the guys alive.

  • @ALoveForOrcas The whale he is riding is not Corky, but Nootka.

  • @B4Malfoy oh sorry, i was still getting use to id-ing the orcas but i know corky by heart now and i can obviously see its not her :) But still u can see "nootka" veer to the side on purpose.

  • @ALoveForOrcas Oh, no worries. I just wanted to point it out. You're probably even better at id-ing them than I am, haha!

Yeah, I know. Nootka is like; what the... to the side, to the side! xD

  • As much as I love orcas and want to have one as a pet and visit Sea World, I very much believe they should be free and try to end whaling, but it is what it is.

  • the whale really didnt mean to hurt the human i mean if you were a dog whale bird cat or any animal wouldnt you want something to play with and throw around? if u saw something just sitting there wouldnt u think it's a toy???

  • "Killer whale goes crazy" eeeeh??

Humans goes crazy and think that they can control other animales

  • THAT'S WHY THEY'RE CALLED KILLER WHALES.

  • planed by the whales, they are so smart ;)

  • i fell so sorry for the killer whale

  • The whale dosen´t jump for be angry, he jumps wrong because the whale was sick and the whale can´t see

  • was that one that jumped on him keiko?

  • @masonberg

No, Keiko never stayed at SW. It was Orky2. This happened on 21 november 1987. The trainer is riding Nootka.

And yes, it was an accident, not an attack.

  • Ok the title of this video is misleading, it didn't go crazy it was an accident. Just like when that girl got dragged down into the pool when the Orca didn't let go of her leg, they found out later that it was playing with her, it didn't know any better. It could have killed her but it didn't it brought her back to the top so she could breath.

  • Thats tillikum!. LET HIM FREE!

  • @xWebkinzluv4ev Don't think that is Tilikum..he is much bigger and also trainers are not allowed in the water with him..Tilikum doesn't perform with the other whales either he usually does on his own.

  • @xWebkinzluv4ev tilikum doesn't have that curved of a dorsal. i think ulises was the one who jumped

  • no we cant let all whales be free ORAPPAARG!! cuz if we did the whale hunters would kill them...whales r becoming very endangered now cuz of whale wars and all that..these aquariums r saving these animals! RETARDS!

  • Accidents happen. You're probably more likely to get killed by a horse riding accident than a whale like this, but things are bound to happen when you work with any type of animal. Be it dogs or orcas.

  • ok a few things,

    1. the video that is shown here is from years ago!! not like last year.

    2. for the comments below saying that the whales only listen and do tricks for "treats" is complelty insane. some times they wont take the food. Orcas and other cetaceans have very sensitive skin and most of the orcas like getting a rubdown then a fish. So please dont come claiming you know everything that the whale is feeling and all that shit. thanks :)

  • That bitch likes dick too much.

  • my question is: why is the title of this video "killer whale goes crazy"?

clearly they state in the video that is was an accident

  • I think that accidents caused by orcas were either ordinary mistakes (they happened) or orcas forgetting either their size and strength or the fact their trainers are not orcas. Same way some people can almost forget dogs aren't humans when playing with them.

  • I hate how people just KEEP animals and KILL them! what if we kill them and put them in a tank to do stupid tricks? they'd hate it.whales should live happily in the ocean not a tank.amd the whale watchers can see them every now and then.but seriously..just leave 'em alone for once.

  • es muy muy muy mala pinche higo perra

  • bahahaha. was that Tilikum?!?!?!?!?!?!

  • @xXdieXromanticXx Yeah, I dont see how that was so funny. & No, Tilikum is in Orlando.

  • i think that the killer whale who jumped on the trainer didnt get to get enough power to jump OVER the trainer that it went on the trainer on accident

  • is that tilikum

  • That shit had to hurt. But you can obviously tell it was an accident. Which I'm sure this spurred people to freak out and say they are evil creatures and then of course the damned hippies. FREE THE ORCAS!! or whatever it is they say

  • holy crap.... that was scary

  • they really shoulnt be in these cages they should be free!!!!!

  • oops i wonder if the orca under the guy was hurt.

  • All animals deserve freedom. Please don't support greedy exploitative corporations like Sea World. If you want to see orcas, go whale watching.

  • It was named KILLER WHALE because of their strategic hunting tactics in the wild. Not because they have killed people. They're actually called ORCA.

  • Orky II jumped on Nootka and trainer...

  • Diving Elbow Drop!!! wrestling is so fake

  • its obvious that it was a mis-cue this orca could barely see and didnt do it on purpose however orcas are still wild animals theyre not cats hope one day they will understand that

  • don't fuck with killer whales!

  • The movie, "The Cove" was very hard to watch.....painfully, and the lack of humanity. All in the name of culture.

  • haha , prick got what was coming to him

  • the whale that jumped was called ORKY "and is already dead". How ever the human in question say in a TV show "several years ago" that this whale was sick, limited to jump and the whale could bearly see!!!!

Some times trainers doesnt even know the whales are sick...

    THIS BUSINESS SUCKS!!!!

    FREE WHALES

  • Humans will never learn. They named it the Killer Whale yet they continue to keep these stupid theme parks open despite these whales killing trainers on a regular basis. $ is king I guess.

  • To be honest, I'd rather watch a video of Orcas in the wild, than a live show of them in captivity.

  • FUCK SEA WORLD ! and all the aquariums around the world !

Let the animals be free and stop this criminal business.

  • @orappaarg omg you people do my head in! you cant let them FREE they will die! they wont know how to hunt, and take care of themselves and if there in aquariums they get food done for them and get to play and stuff like that! ohhh and when there ill they are helped to get better sometimes they live and sometimes they dont. it really does show how much you know about these killerwhales and how much you love them.btw when theys animals come endangerd you will be happy there in captivity. wont you?

  • @bethanykayla Well stop artificially inseminating them.....jeez! How about protecting them in the wild and preventing them from becoming extinct. And no i will never visit an orca in a paddling pool.

  • @fingerbun84 people do protect them in the wild! but also in captivity are you against captivity or something? because if so why dont you have ago at zoos as well as seaworld and other places that hold dolphins and whales? dolphins and whales like human interactions but this was a bull orca and they can be rather dangerous at times, thats why only a few trainers get into the water with males orcas at seaworld or enywhere else.I dont care if you wont visit an orca in a 1 million gallon pool.

  • @bethanykayla In the wild an orca can swim 160km in a day - one day - so i'm sorry if i don't get excited about your 1 million gallon pool. It is in effect a paddlin pool - prob the equivalent of keeping you in a car for your entire life with 2 other ppl than mite not be your family. The intelligence & complex social structure of these animals cannot be catered for in captivity, & yes my protest is not only at seaworld - these animals should not be kept in captivity

  • @fingerbun84 ok point taken and you wasn't ment to get exited when i said '1 million gallon pool' enyway yeah animals arnt ment to be in captivity really but when they are at least you can get a closer view of them.

  • @orappaarg It's not criminal. It's called playing with our food. Humans are predators. Welcome to reality moralfag.

  • @MrRobot1337 It doesnt have to be like that, fuckin idiot.

  • @MsFisaa It is like that. Whatever you think, your beliefs, your ideas, are worthless. In less than 100 years, you will be dead. What is 100 years in the sands of time? NOTHING. We are worth nothing. What we think is worthless. For the majority, what we do, is worthless. Reality is that we live, we strive to survive, yet we're all gonna die. Deal with it, don't go trying to change nature, you will fail miserably. Failures are never remembered. Instead invent something new.

  • @MrRobot1337 Im not even gonna waist my time on a sad human like you. bye.

  • @MsFisaa Sad is again you're own opinion, trying to put down others by imposing your own reality on them. You should learn that not everyone is like you. Some people are quite happy in the realm of reality, like myself. I am very happy in the fact that I don't need the bible (or any other story book) to ensure I have morals and values. I am happy that I can think for myself. BTW, its waste, not waist, waist being that part of your body stopping you from seeing your own toes.

  • he learn that a whale is not a horse hahahaha XD

  • i feel sorry for the whale, (of course i feel sorry for the man too) but i mean that whale probably thought he was working really well :( Love whales!!! xx

  • Serves humans right. No animal should be held captive. Watch movie The Cove, you'll see how wrong we humans are really.

  • He died?! o,o

  • @coktale no no. it says he no longer works with the whales. he survived.

  • I would be angry too if I was taking from my home which is the ocean. 'whalelover1231 on your second response. Your very right! If they are captured to me be helped then that is a totally different story but taking a whale for no reason just to make money. That's not right and it is cruel.

  • @MsConny1962 Just out of curiosity, what if these whales were born in the park? if that is the case, they don't know what the ocean is like, can not defend for themselves, and have no natural immunity to the sea's bacteria. Again, that was what if, i am not saying you are wrong.

  • I really liked how you said this! Seaworld, unlike most marine parks in other countries, do not take whales out of the ocean for no reason. They are either rescued or born there!

  • I go agree that whales should be kept in the wild, if you really want to see them go on a awhale watching trip on a boat, not to a aquarium. But even though this is tragic, it is not the whales fault. if the whale really did want to kill the man he would have just crushed him in his mouth.

  • I agree, keep te whales in the wild, and protect them by protecting out oceans not putting them in swimming pool, i still cant believe that attractions make money from this!!!!

  • How much of a soul-less moron can the person be who decided that this item needed a little bit of perky, anodyne library music to make it that much more "entertaining"?

What kind of sick, jaded jerk-off would do that? The same kind of sick, jaded jerk-off who'd describe a captured and imprisoned creature of the wild as a "beast".

Shame on the people who made this.

  • that would be funny if the whales planned it but still poor guy

  • uhm, i don't think the whale got a killer mind..

  • While im pretty sure their not "physically" abusing them hitting ect. Theirs no way they can accomodate the needs of a killer whales in captivity-and that's why it's animals abuse.

  • Too all these people saying that this is "Animal cruelty" Most of these whales have been born in Sea World or have been looked after by the trainers for a while so if they were to go back to the wild they would Die and also they are well looked after here and get the best treatment and they dont stay in that one pool that is only for preforming.

  • I hate the way he try's to make out like its all the whale's fault. The trainers know the risks and sign the contracts, if they didn't want stuff like this to happen, they shouldn't be kept in captivity then should they!

  • i hate how he calls them 'beasts'!!!

i think the only time whales should be in captivity is if they are rescued and are too sick or injured to go into the wild!!

  • the small size of these pools could never compare to the ocean where they belong, this is animal cruelty and should be illegal.

  • keep in mind they are somyimes born there

  • u should neva put orcas in pools they have feeling 2, people are destroying there lives.

  • How is this 'whale gone crazy' ??? nuthin to do wid da whale. i personally love whales but if ur guna get into the water with them and expect its going to go well everytime. U cant blame this on the whale it was a F%@#ing accident

  • I agree with Jevs87. It should be in the wiled free.

  • i hate this stuff, just looks sooo wrong! should be out in the wild

  • And also it was not the whales fault this happened

  • i have no respect for people who keep these from there family

there total assholes, they should get put in a freak show and perform like there beautiful mamals do, poor killer whales

  • I would go crazy to if somebody put me in a PRISON.

  • The MMC survey from the University of California discovered

that more than half of marine mammal workers had been injured

by the animals (251 cases) Those in regular contact

with marine mammals or involved with cleaning and repairing

enclosures were more likely to be injured. Trainers and dolphinari-

um staff are frequently injured, but these incidents are rarely

reported publicly. Naomi Rose PhD. 2009

  • 52% of respondents reported marine-mammal-inflict-

ed injuries, 89% of injuries to hands, feet, arms,

    or legs; 8% on the torso/abdomen; 4%

on the face. 30%+ injuries were severe (90

cases) either a deep wound requiring stitches, or a

    fracture. Contact more than 50

days a year with enclosed marine mammals were several times

more likely to suffer a traumatic injury. Assessment

of the risk of zoonotic disease transmission to marine mammal

workers and the public. Naomi A. Rose PhD -2009

  • So the guy hasent been in the water since lol smart move

  • did the trainer become paralyzed?

  • You understand why it was so angry? What are you talking about? The whale jumped on the cue it was told to jump, If it was angry it wouldn't have jumped on him, it would have ripped him to shreds. They don't only live to entertain us, What about the ones killed in the ocean by whale hunters? Would it rather be killed, or treated happily, and fed, and given attention by it's trainers everyday. It's like having a pet dog, You care for it, and it loves you back.

  • agree with elodee, beside it was just an accident we human do it alot

  • Errm... Actually, compairing a pet dog to these whales, you would have to keep your dog in a small room at all time, never let him out and teach him tricks just to keep him from going mental out of boredom...

I´m pretty sure these whales would rather die free than live in a tank...

  • Actually, you know how often that happens to animals? And normally they wouldn't even try to keep them from going mental. how about dog fighting? Some animals are abused and aren't even fed. yet you worry about these? They're fed, have a better home than MOST other aquariums, and are given daily vet care? If they were released in the wild they wouldn't survive. Lolita might, since she used to live in the wild. but maybe not from being in captivity?

  • If you put whales that have been in captivity most of there lives, they would most likely died as they would be used to you know, having the breakfast lunch and dinner ready for them, if they saw a shark or something they would not stand a chance. Im not trying to disagree with you im agree but adding more onto your point lol

  • I couldnt agree with you more :)

  • @Elodee123 Ouch..i hope the whales are ok..and to answer your question.."would it rather be killed or treated happily, and fed and given attention by it's trainers everyday", you forgot to add 'and swim around in tanks the size of bathtubs to them' to the second option..don't get me wrong..i'm sure trainers and orcas share some kind of bond..but...i think orcas belong in the ocean. It's too bad some humans are so heartless and kill these amazing animals.

  • @OhUDidntKn0w You are right, ANY animal belongs in the wild. I just find it heartbreaking that (most) people who rant about Orca's captivity never care to even mention captivity of other animals. I prefer to seeing orcas in the wild, unconfined, and care-free. In the ocean they are the top predator, other than us.

  • @Elodee123

do you really think keeping a whale is like a PET??

    are you crazyyyyyy ????

  • @phie015 It's not like a "pet", but is similar to other animal captivities. Such as zoos. but like dogs, they form a bond with their trainers.

  • @Elodee123 the only difference is that killer whales are like 1000000000000000000000000x bigger, stronger, and most of all,

it maybe looks like they got nice big ''cages'' but it's nothing compared to the sea, their habitat is like the whole world. well, compare the whole world with tgat stupid tank they're in ..

  • @Elodee123

and believe me, they don't have a bond with their trainers, they see them as feaders, not as friend .. they only like them because they give them food. why do u think trainers give them treats? else they won't do their tricks anymore :D

  • @phie015 Obviously, I know that the tank doesn't compare to the ocean. Don't insult my intellect, please. I'm not saying that the tank is the "perfect" place, if you truly knew me you'd understand that i'm not stupid. The "treats" is not their food, it's just a positive reinforcement, Like you'd give to other animals you train. They would still do behaviors without treats, but eventually wouldn't because just like other animals they don't see a benefit. (even though it's part of their exercise)-

  • @Elodee123

that are things that not supose to be happen. it's not a 'simple thing' to keep a large, big and most of all strong (minded) animal. i just want to realize u of the fact that it would be better if they were born in the wild.

and the sickest thing i think is that they are doing tricks for our pleasure. hmmmm... would u like doing tricks for killer whales for candy? xD

  • @phie015 God. Why even argue? He killed 3 people? 1 was with other orcas with holding a trainer under water too long (they don't know that we can't hold our breath as long), One was a drunken patron that stayed after hours, and the third was another trainer. Which many things could've been in play. Trust me, there are better people to argue with. I do not wish to talk to you, your logic fails, and i honestly find it heartbreaking that you only care about "big animals". Stop mocking me, please.

  • @Elodee123

    uh , i don't know what you're problem is,

but i'm not here to attack u on your argues,

i'm just trying to tell my thoughts,

i didn't know that ur so sensitive about this subjet,

im sorry that i touched u deep

    if you can't handle duscussion,

    please, stop arguing,

it will keep you happy (:

  • @Elodee123

    a killer whaleFAAAAGGGGGGGGEEETT! :D

    btw,

i dindt say that i only care about big animals,

i said that big animals who suffer touchin me more

so i give more about a killer whale than a ent (:

    byeee , i'll stop 'mocking' u,

    fagget

  • @phie015 Lol, learn to spell "faggot". :) You just go on youtube to argue with people with the same views. Stay in school, kid. Have a nice day

  • @phie015 cont-- If you actually did research on these animals you'd know that even instinct takes over them. And it's not "tricks", Most are natural behaviors they'd do in the wild. And once again, They're not forced to do behaviors. Yes, they get "treats", but they are fed (not during the show). Honestly, Your rhetorical questions are immature. Once again, I'm not someone you should argue with since we share THE SAME VIEWS. Thank you, and good bye.

  • @phie015 As compared to other animals, a house doesn't compare to the wild like wild dogs would live in. In a zoo, that doesn't compare to the wild either. Yet, I don't see you preaching about other animals in captivity. Believe me, There are worse conditions they could be in. At this point, They would not survive in the wild if set free. Honestly, they do have a bond with their trainer, not only as "feeders". They are more intelligent than that to only have that mindset. Why argue about this?

  • @Elodee123 No no no don't get me wrong! i'm not trying to make af ight with you ! :P

well, i am actually against captivity. small animals doesn't bother me like i do with bigger animals. you are truely right about putting them back into the wild isn't a option. but to be true, they just don't belong in tanks.

and with a bond with the trainer, if there is truely a bond, why did tilikum kill 3 people? and why is luna, the killer whale then died of boredness?

  • @Elodee123

dude , go cry about how i spell faggetr,

you fackin know what i mean,

and u call me a kidd,

but probably youre 46 and making fuzz with a kid of 16 years old,

and btw, im Dutch, so it would be pretty stupid if youre going to attack me on how i spell words LOSERRR :D

have a nice day , down syndrome patient :D

  • @HCbrutusHC Making fuzz? Lol, If I knew what that even meant. :) Once again, You just want to try to incite a fight. I'm just sooo hurt by what you're calling and saying about me. Boohoo. Lol, Seriously, kid. Go play or something. :)

  • Can they help if they're SUPPOSED to be that weight?!? They're not the Fat ones... YOU ARE, AmericanDoggie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Boy, are you ignorant! Ten thousand pounds equates to five tons. An average weight for a killer whale is 8,000 pounds or four tons. There are whales in the oceans that are bigger and heavier than orcas!

I sometime think people are the REAL beasts. Should they go extinct as well??

  • why?

  • They aren't beasts. It was just an accident..

  • dramatize bull shit....

  • Whale didn't go crazy.....the whale went crazy the min the humans started teaching him tricks and letting him ride on his fin.

Its like when ppl say that tiger went crazy....tiger didn't go crazy, tiger went tiger.

  • i think the whale was thinking of jumping

    on that bitch hahahaha

  • killer whale goes crazy? all that i saw was an accident do to trainer ineptitude.

  • wasn't the whales fault at all. doesn't matter much anyway, animals, especially orcas, are far more important than humans.

  • why dont you start getting rid of the real problem and die in a hole

  • that orca isn't crazy either way, they said the stunt was timed badly.

even if this was a two orca conspiracy, AND they meant to slam the trainer, that's pretty smart haha

  • in my point of view, the second whale is unguilty!!!!! it´s the fault of their trainers if they want such animals to do those things (sry, i know my english isn´t good)

  • THE GUY SURVIVES?!!?

  • he WAS NOT going crazy.. he was off timing..... poor whale... it was probably destroyed... stupid ppl..

  • ugggh no it was timing wrong and blammed on the whale soo

  • AWSOME~

  • wow. poor trainer.

  • more like poor whale, being blamed for doing something that people expect to go right without thinking that they are wild marine mammals and should be in the ocean where they belong!

  • Exactly

  • Lols everyone's mad bc other ppl are training the orcas. Come on jesus, What does training a whale have bad in? Seriously.

  • i loveee watching animals do tricks.

    itttss prettttyyy awesome(:

the whale didnt mean to land on the person.

    just sayingg.

  • most of the orcas in sea world dont eaven know theres a sea with freedom,,,

  • screw thats soooooo not true at all

  • Everyone thinks that orca mean to do it but he did not he did the trick that he was ment to do and landed on him!
