  • That was an absolute pleasure. Perfect guitar and color I might add....it just worked so well. What a phenomenal player. It was like Jeff Beck, Brad Paisley, and Al DiMeola had a musical child and it hatched into you playing this video. To say the least, I'm sold on the deluxe reverb! If possible, keep us posted on a version where you crank the amp just to demonstrate shortly the dynamics of the naturally overdriven sound from this low wattage amp.

  • Thank you so much!!!!!

I´m sorry, but the Deluxe is sold! I always only own 1 amp and 1 electric guitar at the same time, so all gear you see me playing on youtube is sold , except the actual 2: 1962 Fender Strat and 1974 Fender Pro Reverb.

But have a look at my following vids, where I crank up the deluxe in combination with a ES 335 and the Pro Reverb with my ´62 Strat:

    Fender Deluxe Reverb without effects

Cranked up 1974 Fender Pro Reverb with tube rectifier

    All the best, Matze

  • This is really pleasant man! I've been mulling over getting a Deluxe Reverb, Princeton, or a Blues Junior

  • Thank you so much!

  • Subscription acuired! Dude, I just got my new strat (olympic white american standard) and good god I just have to model my improv off of yours. Nevertheless, amazing!

  • Really enjoy your playing and am considering getting a Deluxe based on the tones you're getting here. I know you haven't got this amp based on other posts you have put up since this one, but when you are recording how loud do you keep your amps?

  • I think, it was between 2 and 3. Sometimes, you hear the acoustic strings on my vids.

  • It was between 2 and 3.

  • Great to hear an amp demo with (more than) decent guitar playing and recording. Well done!

  • Beautiful bends at 14:28

  • Sounds like Eric Johnson. (:

  • Great guitar man. Thanks for sharing. Thanks and regards from Greece

  • Thank you so much!

All the best for your country!

    Matze

  • 00:06 iv always wanted to do that

  • Would you be so kind as to turn the volume all the way up for us? What does the reissue sound like at full volume?

  • 18:24 min of tasty licks i now have to learn

  • DUDE! You play soo much Victor Wooten, SO AWESOME!

  • @brennwatte

Just FYI, it's easy to come across good players on YouTube, but in the past few years that I've been watching YT, you and Carl Verheyen pretty easily stand out as my two favorites:) If that Strat was four years older and Olympic White, you'd be one of my favorite YT-discovered players playing my all-time favorite guitar through my all-time favorite amp lol

Anyway, thanks so much for posting! Keep up the great work!

  • Thank you so much!

  • Incredible tone, guitar and playin. Congratulations.

  • Wow great playing! Your gear is all you need really. I owned about 20,000 in guitar gearat one point then reinvented my guitar philosophy that I needed to be involved with music more than the gear. So I sold everything a few years back.

Now all I have is an ovation acoustic and fender acoustasonic amp. And I need a good amp and electric. See just like beginning again!

  • @GameLevelEditor Good Philosophy!!!

  • wow...... back to the drawing board :(

  • What guitar looper pedal are you using in this video?

  • A Boss RC-2 Looper

  • could you tell me more about your guitar ?

    what are the pickups ?

do you own all the guitars and amps we can see on your videos ?

I really enjoy listening to you.

  • Hey,

the pickups are from 1961. 5,7/5,8/5,7 KOhm.

There is only 1 amp and 1 electric guitar I own! All other stuff is sold! Exepct this time: I also own a ES 335 besides the blue strat, but one has to go.

  • Oh brenn...I am just a heartbeat away from purchasing me a Strat - its been a lifelong goal of mine to own one...and then I'm going to shamelessly learn (steal) every lick and chop you have shared with the world...one day when I grow up I wanna play like you brother...cos you keep it juicy and real with your playing.

  • Don't you use any effect to obtain this wonderful clean sound ?

  • No, no effects.

  • I see you like the rear most "out of phase" position. It's one of my fave Strat positions too!! Very nice and melodic man!! Happy stuff. ~♫ KK

  • Thanks a lot!

  • Great sound Matze! That amp is awesome, can I borrow it?? Fantastic playing as always! Joey Vaughan "World Blues Attack"

  • Thank you!

  • I have seen some hard times and old amps are in great demand.

Too my ears there was little to no difference in the real 63 and the re-issue.

I still have a few left man there older than me.

    Great amp.

People will laugh at me saying the tone comes from you not your amp.

  • @steveo27545 - I was in the store asking the man "hey man what's the difference to me aside from price between American made and Mexican made?"...He leaned close like he was gonna drop a bomb on me and unloaded the coolest words ever..."Son...it don't make one lick of difference if you ain't playing from your sack...cause in the end your tone comes from there"...that was the day I learned tone is your soul singing through your fingers - the guitar & amp only help amplify your spirit.

  • @1Ma9iN8tive

I use to have many amps mostly fender so I will have too say the amps that were USA made sounded a little better for the most part.

I think I understand what your trying to say , if not let me just say it your tones come mainly from your fingers, yeah I get beat up saying this but it's the truth.

  • @steveo27545 the truth shall set us free brother...long story short...I ended up buying a custom Tele made from native wood called Kauri which grows here in my country and a fender amp...small 30 watt'er but it'll do me fine for practice...now to stealing all your licks...bwa ha ha ha
