  • 1:28 what was that music

  • esa pelicula fue lo maximo¡¡¡¡

  • I wasn't very impressed with this movie, considering the amount of hype it received. But does anyone else think that Michael Sheen (David Frost) looks like a young Jack Nicholson?

  • Ron Howard has a made few stinkers throughout his career, but the man can certainly deliver clever, entertaining dramas based on real life events. Even if he does embellish them a bit. I put "Frost/Nixon" up there with "Apollo 13"

  • what does nixon say at 1:19

  • @charliekid5 "Did you do any fornicating?" Basically "did you do any shagging last night?"

  • BOTH MICHAEL SHEEN AND THE GUY THAT PLAYED NIXON WERE MAGNIFICENT IN THIS FILM AND IF YOU THINK THAT JUSTIN BIEBER MUST DIE GIVE ME A THUMBS UP =D

  • They overexaggerated his voice in this film.

  • @zardcat1111 he's playing a character and not a real person

  • nixon declared manson guilty without a trial yet wiggles about with a sweaty squeeky arse on the same thing with his men, what a hypocrite.

  • song at 1:27 is Clint Mansell - Road to awe

  • @TheBobbersChannel The arrivals

  • I'm sorry is all I can do

  • Great film. Sheen shudduv won the Oscar. Found Langella a bit dull in performance but he is playing a much less sympathetic character.

  • Whoever made this movie even though I disagree with some of the things shown here I'm gonna have to say that it's their right on their views on wut happened n if this ur entertainmend by this then I'm happy 4 u but let's not judge Richard Nixon on wut he had dune long time ago generally i mean ya we definitley shood shun down on him on wut he did during that time based from this film but even presidents make mistakes n we shood also apprechiate the good things he's done

  • the song who sing the song with the guitar !!!!

  • @izazut it's fame by david bowie (if it's the first song) and baba o'reilly by the who (if the second song)

  • You should watch the real interviews, they are far more rivetting and Nixon comes across as far more likeable although the movie is very good.

  • Michael Sheen deserved an Oscar Nominee for David Frost.

  • I was really a disappointed, Nixon/Hopkins (1995) and All the President's Men (1976) where much better. I became literally bored and stop watching nor Frank Langella didn't do to good either as some here already pointed out.

  • Langella should have won the Oscar for this performance.

  • the actor who played Nixon sounds like he's doing a really bad Sean Connery iimpersonation!.

  • what does nixon say at 1:20? i couldn't understand :/

  • @kidneybean43 "Did you do any fornicating?"

  • The song is called "Death is the Road to Awe". Some might recognise it from the movie "The Fountain" =) Same guy who made "A Requiem for a Dream"

  • @h3lm92 Yes, that's right. :D I don't think the music from The Fountain fit very well in this trailer, though. Especially if you've seen The Fountain and know what it's about.

  • sam rockwell looks a little like John Denver in this movie...

  • Song at 1:27????

  • @THEMASKEDBRIT Music heard in this is from "The Fountain" original soundtrack.

  • @THEMASKEDBRIT Baba O'Reilly - the who :) the same song is used in the opening of CSI: NY

  • Comment removed

  • such a good film its my favorite ron howard film and the cast is amazing michel sheen sam rockwell matthew macfadyen and frank langella and a soundtrack by hanz zimmer couldnt be any better

  • Michael sheen should have gotten an oscar for being david frost he was amazing in this movie

  • @Pinkranger87 I DIDN'T KNOW THAT NIXON WAS A PIANO PLAYER

  • 2:08 ... and by that extension any member of congress.

  • Decent movie, but Stone's "Nixon" was MUCH better. Anthony Hopkins WAS Nixon. Langella is good but often too mannered, even cartoonish at times (i.e "when the president does it...").

  • after watching this movie i felt sympathy for nixon did anyone else?

  • yep

  • @Rw7451 ok haha just making sure, im only 17 so didnt really feel the impact of Nixon, and everything i heard was completly just trashing him, but after this movie i just felt sorry for him and what he had to live with

  • well....yes I did! If u watch Downfall, u might slightly feel sympathy for even Hitler...If u watch Saddam getting hanged (and juxtapose it with the times he lived in his palace), u feel sympathy for him too...! I guess, it's sympathy for a man at that moment and that never can justify/rectify all the bad things he did in the past!

  • The last ten seconds off the trailer gives me goosebumps. Incredible movie!

  • This movie is amazing...

  • Before watching this movie, should I read up on the Watergate Scandal?

Would it make the movie any better if I had a semi/clear understanding of it?

  • no i just watched it last night and i didn't have much of an understanding.

    they explain it to you

  • Nixon tarnished the presidency and was punished. George W. Bush destroyed America's image abroad and ruined the futures of generations of American children... and should be hanged from the neck till dead.

  • you are totally right.

what bush did was much more permanent and scarring than what nixon did.

  • Looks good!

  • I felt sympathy for Nixon after this film. And that kinda made me angry.

  • @92benno92 angry? why? The film was an untrue portrayal. Drunk late night phone call to Frost? Never happened. Frost trapping Nixon into admitting "guilt"? Never happened. Nixon was ousted by the political elite because they saw him as a threat. He didn't do anything wrong. And, sadly, convention wisdom still portrays him as a lying, cheating hack. It's sad, really, and doesn't so justice to the man's amazing accomplishments.

  • @mynameisjim93

I couldn't even be bothered reading the second half of that comment. I didn't say anything about him as a leader so just keep it to yourself.

  • @mynameisjim93 Yeah, after doing my research I learned the late night phone call and him admitting guilt NEVER happened. Bullshit. I was hoping to pick up on a piece of history, but if it's not accurate then what's the point?

  • @zardcat1111 Well its not true, but the premise MAY be true. Like nixon said he didint remember, so maybee frost only knows for sure, or maybee it was a mind game, or somthing, its not acurate likely, but how could anyone know for sure? and who else would know but frost and nixon himself?

  • @92benno92 That means they showed that he was human, but he was still a monster. The movie wouldn't have done a good job if we hadn't felt anything at all for him. If you watch the actual interviews, that vulnerability was there.

  • This movie was unbelievable.

  • The Fountain ost at 1:25, awesome! This was such a good movie. Michael Sheen rules!

  • whats the song at 0:35?

  • David Bowie - " Fame "

  • great film say what you want about Nixon was very intelligent

  • It's definitely a fantastic movie I watched it for the first time today. But take the "facts" with a grain of salt. It's obvioiusly been altered to make it more hollywood and but on the whole a great movie. Sheen and Langella were both fantastic. Especially Langella! He actually made me feel sympathy for Richard Nixon, something I didn't think was possible. Frank Langella was amazing. If u haven't seen this movie yet, you need to.

  • I must agree with you! THIS FILM WAS AMAZING! And my favourite actor in this movie was frank langella. Prior to watching this film I always thought Nixon as someone who has done serious wrong to the US (Im actually Canadian not american, so i don't know ALL my nixon facts). But after watchin this movie, i actually felt really sorry for nixon, I don't know if that is a good thing. But all I know is that this movie is a MUST WATCH. BEAUTIFUL!

  • Matthew MacFadyen doesn't look as hot :(

  • frost in Australia at 0:26, that's a good one

  • just watched it, AWESOME! loved it, educational and interesting, all the actors do a great job. can someone please remind me what the first song at 0:20 is?

  • change by david bowie

  • Much better movie then i thought it'd be! fucking fantastic acting all around and very interesting. Does anyone know what David Frost's up to now?

  • He's working for aljazeera English. He's got his own show Frost over the world

  • ok thanks

  • Babba O'Reily/Teenage wasteland By the who

  • TEENAGE WASTELAND BY THE WHO

  • what is the song called that is starts playing at 0:54?

  • baba o'reilly by the who

  • thanks

  • it's the who... google it!

  • Best movie ever! Very interesting.

  • amazing movie, i LOVE michael sheen

    :D

  • what does frost has to do with this ? (lol) i thought nixon had a bigger nose

  • david frost was the interviewer...

  • awesome movie, very well-acted.

  • Great movie

  • It feels the film closes with an overly-positive depiction of Nixon.. so as not to get sued, perhaps?

  • Great impression of Sean Connery by Nixon here.

  • a great movie..one small error though..not that important...but nixon was 64 years old in 1977 when the interview was held..he looks like he's near 80 in this film..so bad choice..they should have chose another actor..frost was portraied well

  • Git. Frank Langella is one of the greatest actors in the world, though severely underrated. You would rather see some younger-looking yet terrible actor play Nixon? The real Nixon didn't look any younger than Langella did in the movie anyway.

Just because every 60-year-old in Hollywood look like they're forty it needn't be considered a normality. It isn't.

  • I suggest President Charles Logan.

  • DEFINATELY CHARLES LOGAN

  • Logan fo sho!

  • I'm seeing david frost but I'm thinking tony blair

  • THIS MOVIE WAS AMAZING.

i watched it last night and i loved it!

  • "did you want to fornicate?"

    hahahaha

  • he says "did you do any fornicating"

  • hahaha still funny

  • im saying that when the president does its not illegal

  • Hey Anyone know when Nixon called Frost in his hotel if that was true? or did they just throw that in the movie?

  • I LOVED this movie. Langella was amazing as Nixon. That scene where he admitted that he had wronged the American people gave me chills

  • this movie was amazing

    i loved it

  • This was an amazing movie. If stupid Slumdog hadn't come out, it would have won best adapted screenplay and Milk would have won so much more.

  • oh yeah,,, so i gotta watch it right now.. .tQ

  • The end of this movie was kind of sad, with Nixon and his pair of italian loafers that Frost gave him. Turns out he was just a lonely old man all along.

  • what exactly are trailers supposed to do?

    this one sucks.

  • I seen this movie and it was so damn good for Ronnie Howard, btw this scene on 2:12 it paused me there for a moment and it was the best scene, 5 stars for this Ron Howard damn good film.

  • "I'm saying that when the president does it that means it's not illegal."

    That gives me the chills.

  • probably because youre a bitch

  • Ok, I'm a bitch and you're a cunt.

  • wat song is that at :56?

  • Baba O'Reily - The Who

  • what did you think of the movie?

  • Well I saw it on the in-flight entertainment during my flight from DC to London after having two bottles of cabernet sauvignon...hence, I found it quite okay. It was indubitably a little too theatrical, but Ron's sins can be forgiven by his motive. Its an important topic that the world should know about.

  • youre a pretentious asshole, indubitably

  • lol, oh well. I can't be both excellent and please everyone. So I learn to live with hostile ants such as yourself :)

  • you remind me of a story.

its a familiar one tell me if you know it

there was a person, who worked at a pizza shop.

they were the best pizza guy ever!

he learned a few big words, so he signed onto youtube and tried to knock a movie, but when he got called on his arrogance, he confused this with excellence along with a humorous attempted to rile the critic

he died, broke, alone, and with a wonderful vocabulary

    theeee eennnd :)

  • I actually don't ... to me it sounds like a cheapshot? well, that's just me I guess. Anyway, little bunny, why don't you hop down the rabbit trail and go hibernate in that lonesome hole that you call your life.

  • i guess you feel like you gotta have the last word..ok well go ahead and hit me with one more nice reply, i asure you it will hurt me deeply and i will meditate at great length on what ever it is you tell me

  • i love you too,son...now go frolic in the green meadows with the fawns and butterflies

  • LOL..... good hit! Thumbs up!

  • good movie

  • Hey, does anyone where I can download this version of First Snow from?

    ( 1:24 - 2:20 )

  • its called death is the road to awe

    take a youtube converter

  • Thank you :)

  • sometimes movies can inspire and provoke but how they change the tones in how people said things in real life are the things i hate, like how nixon said ``when the president does it its not illegal`` thats not how nixon said it in real life, he didnt say it with a power hungry corruptive tone, he said in a very calm way so i hate how to change things like that to make someone look bad

  • 2:05

  • Michael Sheen's eyes. It's all in his eyes. That's where you get beyond the cheesy artifice.

    Brilliant.

  • fxg, isohunt*com

  • fxg

  • What does Nixon say at 1:20?

    O.o

  • He said did you do any fornicating?

One of the best dramas i've seen, amazing movie right here its a must see imo

  • I ve got a question. Is this really happened? Is it is a movie which is a reconstruction of whole interview, or just a fabular from kind of movies "What would be if...?"

  • it's supposed to be a reconstruction

  • yes it is a reconstruction you see the movie then you see the interview the things they say are pratically the same.

  • holy crap. the guy from Choke in this? both are very good movies.

  • fantastiv movie =)

  • Anyone know the song that plays at the beginning of the video?

  • Fantastic film!

  • and on another note: I LOVED BACON.

GOD he was incredible. but i was waiting for him to start dancing to "footloose". haha. x]

pefect casting. GOD I LOVED THIS MOVIE.

  • ADORED THIS MOVIE. i was the youngest one in the theater. i'm 14, but i've always been interested in politics, especially richard nixon. though he went down in history as a bad president, i found him facinating. i thoroughly enjoyed "all the president's men" and i LOVEDD this movie! i can't say it enough! it was brilliant. i thought michael sheen is very underrated and was absoloutely terrific, and frank langella was simply outstanding and they both deserve oscars. hope it wins best picture! [:

  • OMG, a 14 yr. old who is TRULY interested in polotics!!!!!????!!!!

    THANK GOD!

THERE IS HOPE FOR THIS COUNTRY.

    Keep your interest alive :-)

  • haha!

    i definetely will.

    thank you :]

  • Dang.

    I'm 15.

    You beat me.

  • lol. xD

i'm glad there's someone else in my age range commenting on this video though.

    did you see the movie?

  • No! But I planning to on Orange Wednesday. (y)

It looks really interesting, just my thing.

It got five stars in The Times!

  • i'm 15 , too ;)

  • Fantastic movie

  • anyone knows the name of the first song on this video.. the cripy one :)

  • whats the song from 0:53-1:23

  • "Baba O'Riley" by The Who, better known as "Teenage Wasteland"

  • I wanna see this movie so bad!!!

  • I saw this movie last night. It's magnificent. Truly amazing script and acting. Mark my word, Frank Langella will be nominated. He nailed it. Everyone else involved did too. Not a biased movie at all. Showed both sides, the good and the bad, with perfect balance.

  • cagwa - i agree, the movie was excellent. And Frank will get a nomination in my opinion.

  • I'd like to encourage everybody who sees this film to take the facts with a grain of salt. Hollywood makes MOVIES and should never be taken as fact. Don't let them brainwash you.

  • Nothing redeeming about Nixon, and finally the truth is out with the Nixon tapes. Nixon was mentally ill suffering from paranoia. The country suffered price freezes and high interest rate to a point of where we are today.

  • Seems a little biased...?

  • so?

  • I rest my case.

  • Nixon is truly an unlikable personality that disgraced this country and made the Republican Party a disaster for years. This is a film about an interview that made Nixon look like even more of a crook. What in your opinion should the preview be showing that makes it more pro-Nixon?

  • that reply is to Finn001abd

  • Make Nixon be more like a real person and have his own side of things. For example talking about "What I did, I did for my country" and that someone close to him saying "I fear that if you resign the progress you have done with China will be lost and China will start to get nearer to the Soviet Union again. We need you. Your country needs you." Even if you disagree with these statements understand that there is his side of the story as well. This trailer (and movie?) just shows the liberal side.

  • actually, the movie gave him some redeeming qualities. he expressed deep regret...

  • the last fourteen seconds is something special.i'm so seeing this!

  • Maybe it's just the selected clips, but the actor playing President Nixon is talking like he has a mouth full of marbles. Too much like a caricature.

  • Can't wait for this movie looks to be good.

  • Heavy

  • Looks good!

  • can't wait to see this!!!!!

  • seventh

  • This movie will only touch the surface of Nixon/watergate. But, it will be a good start to bring awarness to this matter. I believe our country is still suffing because of this. Kudos to all involed with this picture. Can't wait to see it!

    ~courage

  • Awesome Trailer..."LOok At The Frist Four People I Bet U They Didn't Even Watch The Video"

  • can't agree more!!!!!
