These days there is not only 3D, there's also 2D, clay-mation, stop motion, Pixilation, and so on..

Also, you don't know what an animatic is.

This is beautiful 2D animation. Animatics are basically moving storyboards, only displaying the key frames, changes in movement and so on.

This is alltogether a complete animation as far as it can be considered full, lacking color and some more. but still..
