The reason the video quality is not up to today's standards is because Youtube increased the screen size of the videos. I saw this video years ago, and the video quality was good, because, back then, Youtube used a smaller video size. Now that smaller size is no longer available. The end result is that this and a lot of other older videos pixel out on today's larger screens. I guess that is the trade-off of improving technology.

I read that the song is supposed to be called "dao ma dan" but it's actually called "shou chang lian pu" -> 京剧 - 说唱脸谱 at the beginning of the song you won't know that it is this part shown in the video because it comes up a lil later that's why the song sounds cut up at the beginning and the end of this video :)
