The residents can always move back to 'shags'. Everybody came from somewhere in Kenya. If this mass rural-cities migration isn't checked, there will be problems down the road. Already Nairobi boasts one of the biggest slums in Africa. Nothing to be proud of.
I for one believe it is time people started looking nyumbani, shags, instead of crowding the city putting up shacks wherever they find space. We have to have order. So City Council needs to demolish anything that goes up before a slum sprouts.

FACT: 85% of Kenya’s population growth (1989-99) moved into densely packed slums of Nairobi n Mombasa .... seriously people where are the services? water? security? hospitals? roads? lights? schools? where are the jobs?
these slums are a menace to society and civilization....these people need to migrated back to their rural homes...what are CDF for? Counties? be real!

For example, who (name) sent the drivers of the caterpillars? Where is a copy of the notice? When was it given? Who signed it? Did you interview who signed it? How long have these people lived here? Have there been warnings in the past? Who gave them? What is the real motive for the hurry? Who are these drivers? ETC. ETC.
@thepolarden1 - Maybe you should contact city hall for all that information. It's like a journalist reporting on a murder and you wanting to know the motive, the weapon, who did it, how they did it and where they live. I am sure you understand the kind of obscurity that surrounds this kind of action.
