@Ices625 how long have you been using the video? Do you do any other workouts? Are you eating all the right foods and staying away from junk? Just doing an exercise video for a week isn't going to get you results. Healthy weight loss is only a pound of a week if you're doing it right, so it will take a while before you start to see your fat go away.
@Ices625 uhhm, this alone really won't do much for you in losing fat, UNLESS you're doing it daily and for a good lengthy period of time (meaning months or so). You're going to need to factor in what you eat and maybe a little cardio in to help you out even more :) I guarantee you if you do all of this and a small cardio workout for a while, you'll be good to go!! :D
The one thing I don't think they've mentioned in these videos is proper posture. These moves are great for weight loss but if you don't stand correctly you're going to hurt yourself. First thing is stand with your feet right underneath your breasts. Then, always have your kneeds bent a little. Tuck your pelvis underneath so you have a flat back and your bottom isn't sticking outward. Roll your shoulders back and down and have your elbows turned to the wall behind you.

I think this is more or less toning muscle and gaining flexibility. I mean, honestly, you can be overweight but still be fit. I am. It isnt actually that hard im 13 and i know how to do it :) its a great excercise to like make you stomach more abyish..i mean like not hudge abs but just a little bit so your stomach doesnt look too..flat..it looks kinda weird when its just "flat" but yeah this is GREAT! I LOVE IT! :))
These basic move videos were great!! I used it as a nice study break and felt so relaxed after. I felt like I could move right along with each move. Great video collection! Hope to see even more!

I've actually lost weight doing this and the other 3 workouts along with the 4 fat burning workouts by these girls...AMAZING...Combined with my treadmill and lots of water I lost 10 lbs...woooohhoooooooo....Lets keep going. only 50 more to go.
@karenmell took a couple months...was a bit inconsistent at first, but I picked up on it after a while....Just need to get my eating habits in check and keep at it...But the key for me was keeping extremely active and the right exercise techniques..I also do Taebo and tennis so I'm hoping for great results by the end of the year...thanks a million for the support though.

omg my problem is my stomach area im a couch potato and want to get rid of it. the gym doesn't motivate melike this did, i did all four in a row, put on a shimmy belt and went for it. @ThatPr3ttyGurl I cramped up a bit in my side-but I had had lunch not too long before, I do tend to cramp up during new exercises though, I paused the video, lightly sipped on water and when I turned it on again came in slowly before building up to their speed.

I'm working on their basic belly dance steps 1/2, I get very winded trying to keep up with the same pace as the vidio. Some day I will obtain dvd, I have shimmy's but I really like Neena and Veena.
@89Jori I agree. I used to do belly dancing all the time, and I noticed my waist went in and so did my hips, but I still had that girly curve. This stuff is awesome and it's FUN.
I love this I have been doing it as part of my workout for nearly a year. I find it relaxing and a change in pace to the fast cardio that I do and not as physical challenging as tae bo and kickboxing.
These videos are great to follow along with. I'm hurting a considerable amount just like everyone else, but I suppose it just comes down to general fitness and the speed you're doing it.
I have a shorter leg which has caused mild scoliosis and I'm finding it fine enough, just keep your back straight and breath!
But it's a lot of fun. I'm almost 16, and trust me, this stuff is fun to do. Great way to keep in shape, especially if you don't like sports. I'm going to keep at it until I get really good.

all this exercise is very good. i'm familiar with those moves, our pantomime teacher made us work through those:) in the end it gives you the freedom of your body, to move like you want it to...

Mmmm bellydancing is soooo much fun! and hey it helps if you do other sports or dances as well. I do hip hop and martial arts and this helps a ton!

@BBMUSXX I'm 16 I loooovvvvee food and dancing, working out is boring though.
Mom wants me to get into yoga too so this is like yoga and work out combined with my dancing!!

I love this I have been doing it as part of my workout for nearly a year. I find it relaxing and a change in pace to the fast cardio that I do and not as physical challenging as tae bo and kickboxing.

These videos are great to follow along with. I'm hurting a considerable amount just like everyone else, but I suppose it just comes down to general fitness and the speed you're doing it.
I have a shorter leg which has caused mild scoliosis and I'm finding it fine enough, just keep your back straight and breath!

But it's a lot of fun. I'm almost 16, and trust me, this stuff is fun to do. Great way to keep in shape, especially if you don't like sports. I'm going to keep at it until I get really good.

I kept it up for about a month, but then just stopped. Not sure why.
I lost about 10 pounds in a month, which isn't bad. Quite healthy.
I would recommend it.
And I think I'll start up again too. :]

all this exercise is very good. i'm familiar with those moves, our pantomime teacher made us work through those:) in the end it gives you the freedom of your body, to move like you want it to...
