Whether you call the "gathering together" the Rapture or not is not the issue here. This is talking against the doctrine of Pre-tribulation. This escapist way of thinking about prophesy does not profit the Christian. The Lord did not give us a spirit of fear.
Any person that sites the "rapture" or "gathering together of God's elect" to happen before or even in the middle of the Great Tribulation is simply misinformed.
@08Revelator i struggle with this a lot, yes the bible does not specifically state anything about a "rapture", BUT it does say things like in Revelations 3:10 "Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth." so idk what to think...
2nd Thess 2. Tells us that Christ's return and our gathering to Him, that DAY (meaning same on one day) will not happen until a falling away first, then the son of perdition (antichrist) is revealed. Then we will be gathered. Day of the Lord and the "rapture" are one.
Acts 3:19-21 tells us Jesus will NOT leave heaven until the restoration of all things. Tell me, is the 7 years before the day of the Lord the restoration of all things? No. Jesus leaves heaven once to get His bride. Amen!

You say that we have no right to add to God's Word & I completely agree. May I kindly ask then why you call the 7 year period the Tribulation? Nowhere in Scripture is it called that. It's called Daniel's 70th week. Christ says the great tribulation starts at the abomination of desolation halfway through. I think that misnomer of calling the 7 years the tribulation is a cause of much of the misunderstanding. We need to watch the erroneous application of terminology. It leads to wrong conclusions.
Its Pre-Trib Rapture because Jesus says the son of man will come at an hour on which you don't expect him. You would be expecting him when all chaos is about. Not when its semi peaceful. Its a Pre-Trib rapture IMO.
Preterism is an effort to cram every prophecy fullfilled into the 1st century. It is partially wrong. Disspensationalism is an effort to superimpose every prophecy on the 21st century. Matthew, Mark, and Luke, all refer to the second coming being loud and as it was in the time of Noah and Sodom. "One taken, one left..." The apostles ask the Messiah, "Where Lord?" (As in where are they TAKEN to since they already know where the ones are that are left behind.) his reply "Where the bodies are, the vultures are gathered (as in dead). Those TAKEN are taken to destruction post trib.

I think GOD expects us to try and figure out the dates and times, its when people start becoming closed to other ideas and state there reckonings as fact is where the problem lies. Persecution causes people to get of the fence when they have one foot in the world and one in the Christian camp. Getting caught up in this world... Refers to what Jesus Christ said when he said "What good does it do a man to gain the whole world and losses his own soul!" NOT being ready! Being ready is having obeyed the gospel of Jesus Christ ALONE! There by obtaining Christ's righteousness which is the believer wedding garment (or clothes) NOT man's own righteousness which are as filthy rages!
Part 1 Being ready is referring to the faithful servant that has obeyed the gospel of Jesus Christ NOT man made false gospels! Having your clothes with you refers to the wedding garment which is Christ righteousness ALONE! What a great word Monica. You know, I believe in post-trib, but some make it their life to fight and argue at others about doctrine, but no one is 100% correct on everything. Your right, the FACT is this, is that we should continually be living for God and not for this world, no matter what. I do believe His True Children that are His, either way, should be OK. Although highly controversial, I agree with you on this pre-trib. -vs.- post-trib debate and the timing of Christ's Triumphant Return - but I do believe that knowing the time precisely is possible in our day and with our generation only. While a scary prospect that having that knowledge alone isn't a guarantee such a person is 'saved' - but it makes sense since the work of salvation is Jesus Christ's work alone, he paid the price on the cross and chose who to save, not through anything we did.

There can't be a pre or mid-trib rapture. It doesn't make logical or biblical sense. If there is a pre or post-trib rapture then Jesus is going to have to do a second one, because of new believers from the tribulation. Where does it say about a second rapture? Nowhere.
Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. 23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
The Bible tells you in 2Thes 2:1-12 that these events happen before the return of Jesus. Jesus also tells you in Matt 24:1-25. The Bible could not be more clear. These events happen "before" Jesus returns. Do not be deceived. Mat 24:4, 2Thes 2:3.
If you don't know the signs of His return then you will not be ready! The trumpets are in order anything else is a man made interpretation. Trumpets 1 through 6 sound first. Jesus returns at the 7th.

@chrisifiles While I disagree that we can not with authority declare when Christ will call the church to him, I do agree that this should never be the divisive issue that it has become. I am convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that the the great catching away of the church or "rapture" unto Christ will occur at the seventh trumpet. It is not wrong to stating that this is the truth of scripture, but it is wrong to make it an issue that deters from the love and sharing of Christ.
Understanding the jewish wedding relating to the bridegroom and his making preparation for his bride sheds much light on this subject. Our bridegroom lays this out for us in St. John ch.14. He is preparing a place for us his bride, even NOW! and He will come to recieve the bride unto himself for the bridegrooms feast of the Lamb. Meanwhile, their will be the fullfilment of God's judgement on this earth. When it is complete, then we will return with our bridegroom to reign during the mellenium.
I started out as pre-trib, but know that ample evidence in the Bible can be sited to prove either side. I believe that the true Christians who are suffering already for their faith in Christ will be saved from tribulations while the carnal Christians which due to their carnal nature and thus aren't suffering for Christ will not be raptured but will endure the suffering of the tribulation. In any case it doesn't matter, but that's my take on it.
the Revelation of Christ comes after the Great Trib without a doubt. The were 10 virgins (christian) that went in to wait for him but 5 took extra oil (food, etc.. the build an ark) but 5 though Christ would have come sooner. They were locked out of the Kingdom. Great Ministry. I am concern about people teaching Christians that God is going to rescue them from The Antichrist. Jesus only comes to Earty twice and there are only two resurrections. To believe in a pretrib Rapture, one has to believe Jesus comes to Earth three times and there are three resurrections. One Jesus comes back the second time, he will never leave us to be possible for a third coming. Yes there are two resurrections. See, REV: 20:4-6 I love you.
I really do not care WHEN the rapture is going to occur. One thing that goes against a port trib rapture is that people are going to be running scared. They won't be ploughing their fields or going about their daily business.

Anti-C comes first (hence "666:" 6th Seal, 6thTrump, 6th Vial) pretending 2b Christ come to reign & gather back/"fly away/catch'g up," & deceiving MANY. @theifoncross If people cling on to a pre-trib belief will not recognise the anti-Christ. They will say "It can't be this man as we're still here." That's cause for concern, I think.

Once I started to actually read the bible for myself, a light started to go off in my spirit. It simply does not matter. He will come in the Father's time. Jesus spoke of multiple tribulations just prior to the last & greatest tribulation.
Thus both are incorrect. The last & greatest trib occurs after the son of perdiction (AntiX) is revealed. The 7 seals and 7 trumps (all tribulations in their own right) all occur before that event and all occur before the rapture . . . . the rapture (according to Paul) occurs at the LAST TRUMP.
Thinking there is one tribulation is where the students of these to schools mess things up.
it is interesting why Jesus compares the end times before His return to times of Noah and of Lot. In both cases God's people were taken out of the world that was subjected to God's wrath. Before the flood Noah entered the ark and was spared from God's judgement, Lot was taken out of the sinful city before fire of judgement came down.
Also I wonder, when and where the Wedding Feast of the Lamb will take place?

The Sermon in the Mount, proscribes by implication, pre-occupation with future events and instead encourages Christians to be occupied with the present--the only place they can be of practical use or change.
Our job as Christians is to share the truth with those who are lost and are seeking answers about salvation. We need to teach people difference between religion and a personal rlationship with Christ. It doesn't matter the date of his 2nd coming..God has not stated when this will happen, but the signs are there! Be alert and do your duties in bringing souls to the Lord before it is too late!

While we are arguing scriptures, the lost world is looking at us and thinking, "I sure do not want what they have. They are too contentious with one another." 2 Thess 2:3 excludes pre-trib, so does Matth 24:29-31. The wheats and the tares are gathered at the end. Jesus prayed in John 17:15 To not take us out of the world. When you do a thief in the night study, then it is right upto Armageddon (Rev 16:15) The marriage of the Lamb happenes in Rev 19:7. Paul states that pre-trib teachers are deceivers! The dangers is taking the mark of the beast unknowingly. Don't be deceived people. Scripture is very clear on this!!!

Tribulation is persectution of satan to Believers. I dunno who your God is, but depending on who it is will change who's wrath it is. God's wrath is always noted before it happens in rev
jesus says that you are not the chrildren of darkness but of light that day will not over take you like a theafe in the night ,he wil give warnings too his people too be ready . he has not given his chrildren into wrath.
So if when Jesus returns and feeds all of the unbelievers to the birds(Rev-19:17-21) and the believers are raptured after the tribulation; then who is left behind to populate the Earth? Does God create more people? Why would He call us into the air only to have us turn right back around to come down with him? Matt 24:22 and Mark 13:20 state that He shortened the trib to save some flesh. For what? The Millennial Kingdom. Flesh people will live during the Kingdom who survive the Tribulation.
there is a group of people that did not choose the mark and also did not choose jesus. they will be the ones who populate the world for the 1000 years.
Actually read Matthew 25:31-46. When He comes back there is the sheep/goat judgment. There are both believers and unbelievers left. He separates them, then the believers get to live in the 1000 kingdom.

Yes it does! Read Revelation 20:2-3. The thousand years is where Satan is bound and Jesus Christ sets up His Kingdom with those who were caught up in the Rapture.
In Rev. 20 it talks about Satan bing bound for a thousand years in the bottomless pit, so that he can't deceive the nations till the thousand years where finished. Also that Satan will be released after the thousand years to deceive the nations.
Now I ask you, who is Satan to deceive if nobody is on the earth anymore but in heaven or hell? What would be the point of saying he should deceive the nations?

During the 1000yr kingdom some of the saints will still have children.They will grow up in perfect peace and harmony,because sin will be banished.
Satan will be released to test the children that were born in this perfect society, just as we were once tested.
But as for us our trials will have ended after the Tribulation.

Whether you call the "gathering together" the Rapture or not is not the issue here. This is talking against the doctrine of Pre-tribulation. This escapist way of thinking about prophesy does not profit the Christian. The Lord did not give us a spirit of fear.
Any person that sites the "rapture" or "gathering together of God's elect" to happen before or even in the middle of the Great Tribulation is simply misinformed.

2nd Thess 2. Tells us that Christ's return and our gathering to Him, that DAY (meaning same on one day) will not happen until a falling away first, then the son of perdition (antichrist) is revealed. Then we will be gathered. Day of the Lord and the "rapture" are one.
Acts 3:19-21 tells us Jesus will NOT leave heaven until the restoration of all things. Tell me, is the 7 years before the day of the Lord the restoration of all things? No. Jesus leaves heaven once to get His bride. Amen!

It is clearly His wrath based on what that word means. I get so confused as to why people get caught up in Semantics and word games but seem to miss the plain sense meaning of things. There is no Pre-Tribulation Rapture. We have all been taught wrong. Read Matthew 24 (all)
First Jesus warns the people about Tribulation (in verse 9) and then after that He tell of the Coming of the Son Jesus. Do the research. If you want to know the truth go to Watchman's Cry link and click on rapture tab if you chose not to be uninformed of the truth then do nothing.

Because there is only one version of the Bible I dont understand why the pre-tribulation theory exists. Matthew 24:29 is the CLEAR word of God " Immediately After the tribulation..." 1Corinthians 15:51-53 Behold! I tell you a mystery. Satan cannot enter into the 3rd Heaven, that is the throne of God. To understand Revelation you have to read Isaiaha, it fills in the blanks. You say that we have no right to add to God's Word & I completely agree. May I kindly ask then why you call the 7 year period the Tribulation? Nowhere in Scripture is it called that. It's called Daniel's 70th week. Christ says the great tribulation starts at the abomination of desolation halfway through. I think that misnomer of calling the 7 years the tribulation is a cause of much of the misunderstanding. We need to watch the erroneous application of terminology. It leads to wrong conclusions.

Preterism is an effort to cram every prophecy fullfilled into the 1st century. It is partially wrong. Disspensationalism is an effort to superimpose every prophecy on the 21st century. It is completely wrong. It is best to adhere to what the church believed for 1800 years untill shallow unlearned modern day wackos came along in 1830 ( Darby , Schofield etc.) The bible is a fairly simple book beautifully written with ample established concepts. Endtime pundants make a mockery of it.

Matthew, Mark, and Luke, all refer to the second coming being loud and as it was in the time of Noah and Sodom. "One taken, one left..." The apostles ask the Messiah, "Where Lord?" (As in where are they TAKEN to since they already know where the ones are that are left behind.) his reply "Where the bodies are, the vultures are gathered (as in dead). Those TAKEN are taken to destruction post trib.
There are as many opinions as there are people, but by definition there can only be one truth.

I think GOD expects us to try and figure out the dates and times, its when people start becoming closed to other ideas and state there reckonings as fact is where the problem lies. It should remain a friendly discussion. Personaly I dont believe the rapture will happen like most tend to else all the world would be suddenly converted. Persecution causes people to get of the fence when they have one foot in the world and one in the Christian camp. What a great word Monica. You know, I believe in post-trib, but some make it their life to fight and argue at others about doctrine, but no one is 100% correct on everything. Your right, the FACT is this, is that we should continually be living for God and not for this world, no matter what. I do believe His True Children that are His, either way, should be OK. BUT, However, we need to keep ourselves in His Word so that we may understand, and not get deceived, no matter what happens. God bless!

The Jews knew that Jesus would come, but the were confused about how. We can't afford to be mistaken. God Has told us in advance for a reason.
We go through the tribulation. It is important that we recognize the signs. 2Thes 2:1-4. The trumps sound in order 1-6 1st, Jesus returns at the 7th.

Although highly controversial, I agree with you on this pre-trib. -vs.- post-trib debate and the timing of Christ's Triumphant Return - but I do believe that knowing the time precisely is possible in our day and with our generation only. While a scary prospect that having that knowledge alone isn't a guarantee such a person is 'saved' - but it makes sense since the work of salvation is Jesus Christ's work alone, he paid the price on the cross and chose who to save, not through anything we did.

There can't be a pre or mid-trib rapture. It doesn't make logical or biblical sense. If there is a pre or post-trib rapture then Jesus is going to have to do a second one, because of new believers from the tribulation. Where does it say about a second rapture? Nowhere.

The Bible tells you in 2Thes 2:1-12 that these events happen before the return of Jesus. Jesus also tells you in Matt 24:1-25. The Bible could not be more clear. These events happen "before" Jesus returns. Do not be deceived. Mat 24:4, 2Thes 2:3.
If you don't know the signs of His return then you will not be ready! The trumpets are in order anything else is a man made interpretation. Trumpets 1 through 6 sound first. Jesus returns at the 7th.

@chrisifiles While I disagree that we can not with authority declare when Christ will call the church to him, I do agree that this should never be the divisive issue that it has become. I am convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that the the great catching away of the church or "rapture" unto Christ will occur at the seventh trumpet. It is not wrong to stating that this is the truth of scripture, but it is wrong to make it an issue that deters from the love and sharing of Christ.

Understanding the jewish wedding relating to the bridegroom and his making preparation for his bride sheds much light on this subject. Our bridegroom lays this out for us in St. John ch.14. He is preparing a place for us his bride, even NOW! and He will come to recieve the bride unto himself for the bridegrooms feast of the Lamb. Meanwhile, their will be the fullfilment of God's judgement on this earth. When it is complete, then we will return with our bridegroom to reign during the mellenium.

I started out as pre-trib, but know that ample evidence in the Bible can be sited to prove either side. I believe that the true Christians who are suffering already for their faith in Christ will be saved from tribulations while the carnal Christians which due to their carnal nature and thus aren't suffering for Christ will not be raptured but will endure the suffering of the tribulation. In any case it doesn't matter, but that's my take on it.

Great Ministry. I am concern about people teaching Christians that God is going to rescue them from The Antichrist. Jesus only comes to Earty twice and there are only two resurrections. To believe in a pretrib Rapture, one has to believe Jesus comes to Earth three times and there are three resurrections. I really do not care WHEN the rapture is going to occur. One thing that goes against a port trib rapture is that people are going to be running scared. They won't be ploughing their fields or going about their daily business.

Once I started to actually read the bible for myself, a light started to go off in my spirit. It simply does not matter. He will come in the Father's time. Jesus spoke of multiple tribulations just prior to the last & greatest tribulation.
Thus both are incorrect. The last & greatest trib occurs after the son of perdiction (AntiX) is revealed. The 7 seals and 7 trumps (all tribulations in their own right) all occur before that event and all occur before the rapture . . . . the rapture (according to Paul) occurs at the LAST TRUMP.
Thinking there is one tribulation is where the students of these to schools mess things up.

it is interesting why Jesus compares the end times before His return to times of Noah and of Lot. In both cases God's people were taken out of the world that was subjected to God's wrath. Before the flood Noah entered the ark and was spared from God's judgement, Lot was taken out of the sinful city before fire of judgement came down.
Also I wonder, when and where the Wedding Feast of the Lamb will take place?

We need to teach people difference between religion and a personal rlationship with Christ. It doesn't matter the date of his 2nd coming..God has not stated when this will happen, but the signs are there! Be alert and do your duties in bringing souls to the Lord before it is too late!

2 Thess 2:3 excludes pre-trib, so does Matth 24:29-31. The wheats and the tares are gathered at the end. Jesus prayed in John 17:15 To not take us out of the world. When you do a thief in the night study, then it is right upto Armageddon (Rev 16:15) The marriage of the Lamb happenes in Rev 19:7. Paul states that pre-trib teachers are deceivers! The dangers is taking the mark of the beast unknowingly. Don't be deceived people. Scripture is very clear on this!!!

THose are two different things....God's people have gone through persecution all thorugh history, but God has NEVER poured his wrath out on his OWN PEOPLE he always moved them out or hid them....Lot, Noah ect. So if when Jesus returns and feeds all of the unbelievers to the birds(Rev-19:17-21) and the believers are raptured after the tribulation; then who is left behind to populate the Earth? Does God create more people? Why would He call us into the air only to have us turn right back around to come down with him? Matt 24:22 and Mark 13:20 state that He shortened the trib to save some flesh. For what? The Millennial Kingdom. Flesh people will live during the Kingdom who survive the Tribulation.

Actually read Matthew 25:31-46. When He comes back there is the sheep/goat judgment. There are both believers and unbelievers left. He separates them, then the believers get to live in the 1000 kingdom.

First of all, there is no such thing as a '7-yr. period of tribulation' intimated in the text of Scripture. Dispensational/futurists get this from a misinterpretation of Dan.9:24-27. Second, Rev.20 says NOTHING about the 1,000 year reign occurring on the earth. Rather, all the texts of the 2nd Advent/rapture, suggest that the earth is completely desolate during this time, while the saints are reigning with Christ in HEAVEN!

In Rev. 20 it talks about Satan bing bound for a thousand years in the bottomless pit, so that he can't deceive the nations till the thousand years where finished. Also that Satan will be released after the thousand years to deceive the nations.
Now I ask you, who is Satan to deceive if nobody is on the earth anymore but in heaven or hell? What would be the point of saying he should deceive the nations?

During the 1000yr kingdom some of the saints will still have children.They will grow up in perfect peace and harmony,because sin will be banished.
Satan will be released to test the children that were born in this perfect society, just as we were once tested.
But as for us our trials will have ended after the Tribulation.

The rapture theory came into being about 165 years ago, that's all the older it is. It was picked up by the mainline Pentecostals and the Baptists. The rest of the mainline denominations, most of them have never heard of and still don't know what you're talking about when you talk about the rapture to them. The Armenians and the Russian Orthodox have never been taught anything about a rapture. The Armenian people were always taught that they would be here during the tribulation.

The text gives no indication as to what (or who) the "restrainer" is so how do you know that the restrainer is the Holy Spirit?

1Th 4:15-17: For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto THE COMING OF THE LORD shall not prevent them which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
