hey, iv got dark messiah on a cd today:D:D and i have a laptop with vista and im going too play it tomorrow couse it's too my dad :P and im not sure if the cd will work with vista couse on the back on the cd cover it says that i can just play it on windows xp. plz help me. i want too play that game alot:)

in vista, you can change the compatibility into xp sp2 just right click on the .exe file and go properties and go compatibility change into the main op. but i dont think it really matter cuz i seen on forum you can manage to play it on vista, os isnt much of an issue, you just need to focus on the hardware system that you got and the patches you need to download

Umm.. it's three months since i posted that comment, and i'm tired of Dark Messsiah already. Btw sorry for the bad grammar. I've learned much in 6 months^^ But thanks anyway.

lol ya im wondering why am i commenting on a 6 month old comment, but no worrys about the grammar as long as poeple can understand its fine. but just to note that if you cant play game that is non-vista op just change the compatibility k? :D

Please help me, I got Vista and Dark Messiah. But the game won't play very well, after playing for a while it crashes (Halflife engine error) and its only during loading a new map. I can't patch it cuz steam already patches it and if I try a patcher it says the game is not installed :S Do you have any ideas? Its a total waste of money right now.

Well from what I recall you cannot have the multiplayer installed from the disc and on Steam. Just uninstall the game completely, I know it's a pain, and reinstall single only. Then download it via steam and play that way. Should work. I had the same problem also.

so this is a yes for dark messiah working on windows vista,coz im upgrading to it and ive always wanted to play this game

Yup, but you have to make sure that you patch the game with the first patch and then the second. I got a widescreen picture which just was just white and no animation.
