  • I hear that technology is a bitch to keep up with right? lol Love the mix

  • I hear tha echnologyis abitch to keep up with right? lol Love the mix

  • which "kick" have you taken?

  • well done bro that is a nice lil performance.

  • great job. did you make all the loops?

  • what headphones are those and are they good for mixing or are those your live dj cans? thanks

  • my dream to have one

  • i like that good job with the volume knob. . ... make real music

  • nice 1 good man

  • awesome and simple. cool man!

  • track selection is epic matey, never heard that faithless deadmaus remix before

  • The future of music. Well done.

  • thanks for the lesson i use ableton 7 extensively for production

    lol

  • lol i love how you are getting praised for mixing 2 pre warped tracks in ableton...

ill join the crowd, great job!

  • @MegaTommyn it depends how you use programs like this. I agree that getting two pre warped tracks and simply clicking start and doing a basic fade is pretty boring and will never be as hard or interesting as using real vinyl - but having the tracks pre warped, or having the ability to quickly warp a file you decide to drop in on the go is a huge advantage and opens up possibilities for much more.

  • @MegaTommyn (it wouldnt let me shove it all in one)

The time you save from having to beat match you can add in fx, mix in about 10 tracks at once and make much more interesting sounds for people to listen to

  • I'm definitely more not into preparing my loops on live, but instead preparing hot cues for each track OR samples in Traktor - Scratch - Pro, to then perform a beatmatching with my drumpads (any brand), all EQed via a dj mixer.

I mean, deejaying is evolving, but keep tools in their primal use.

Ableton for sequence or structure own music,

    Traktor for deejaying, experimentally.

  • yeah i agree with you there, i'd love traktor if i could afford it haha - hopefully some time soon. Although i'm quite interested in this new serato bridge thing ableton has announced, hopefully that will allow the best of everything - but i guess as always there'll be flaws and people will find some way to get annoyed at it.

  • 6 Channels pumping at 7:00

like to see a DJ handle beat-matching 6 samples/ tracks on the fly

U might not like the way the technology is changing the DJ's but at the end of the the day, the bottom line is to make good music, by freeing up a DJ's head from beat-matching he himself can become more creative in the mix.

  • @kmg2kmg this guy isn't making music. he's mixing music, quite clearly. there is a difference.

  • @kmg2kmg correct me if i´m wrong. but i dont think he is beatmaching. Ableton live automatically matches every loop or song that is inserted with the correctly looppoints and time/warp options.

Hes just pressing the play button at the correct time for not to miss the last note of the last compass...

This does not mean he´s doing a bad mix. however is not as impressive as a DJ who´s beat-matching with 6 turntables for example ;)

  • @kmg2kmg you're comparing apples to oranges my friend. I say to each his own, do what inspires you, work hard, be creative, BUT never diss what started it all, give respect get respect.... plain and simple.

  • @kmg2kmg :

    Having said that--

there still has to be work done when it comes to warping the tracks .

  • solid, very solid work, keep it up

  • very good mix man...sorry for my english...regards from spain :)

  • awesome mix

  • I could never sit and do that, gotta stand up like your playing out braw!!! Unless your just really short or the stand is really high, in that case im sorry.

I wish they had a video on previewing songs, sounds, effects, yada yada and actually adjusting the gain so a true smooth flowing mix is able to be made. I want to see a video from inside the headphone basically, because thats what a dj will be listening to and really be most concerned about how well it works and how easy it is to use.

  • great mix

  • amigo use more loops... & sound its going up& down too much.. but anyway.. good job

  • @aurimecas

The up & down effect is mostly because of the side-chain compression.. I like it:)

  • 7:19 too f...... loud dude :/

  • hey...

where can i find how to construct a mix like your's in session view with scene's?

i also have the vcm-600 but im starting to find abletone ..

im mixing right now with traktor pro 1.2 and a external vestax mixer + 2 midi (uc 33 and trigger finger).

i really like the intro part and im a big fan of gui boratto and popof..

  • perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • so i'm a lil confused, is that 9 channel??? so do you just have 9 different songs set up on that mixer?? or.. man i'm so lost, how do you add songs to the cue or anything like that!?

  • omg i envy you, i want one of those so bad, how do you have it set up
