I have an " Astro Blaster" that the buttons all work perfectly, but the fire button will only work about every other shot or so. When I first purchased this game the fire button would act up every so often, but the more I try to play the game the more frequent the fire will NOT work.  I have tried openning the control panel and cleaning the connections, but the same problem persists. I belive that the problem is a bad wire, but again am not sure. Please help me. Matt.

@MarkFaust Could be the button. Check it with a meter, if you are getting resistance across it, change it.
