  • waiting to see a cz p07 review! come on mang. lol

  • I hadn't had a FTF/FTE until the other day on my SP2022. I had put about 600 rounds through the pistol with PMC, Independence, UMC, and American Eagle with no problems, but I attempted to shoot some Winchester White Box cheap stuff (115grain FMJ) and had two FTEs where the casing was stuck in the chamber and only came out with a good amount of force. Thought I was going to have to have issues for a bit. The gun is also cleaned after every 250 rounds or so. Doubt that was the problem.

  • @AnotherWAG had the same issue. had a FTF,had to rack the slide and she kept on firing after that. changed mags and it did it again into the 6th round. but I was using that cheap white box Winchester .40 S&W 115 gr i was being cheap but I normally use federal, american eagle,or PMC in my .45's and 9mm's but im going back to what I know this weekend but I got a feeling changing from the cheaper ammo will fix the issue

  • Can someone give me a link to a discussion about using firearms with a railed light like this?. My father always recommended against it as it provides an easy target (he maintained it's correct to use a torch held away from your body, which means ur shooting one handed of course)....thanks in advance.

  • I've had my SP2022 for over a year now; I don't consider myself an expert by any means but I do squeeze accurate, precise, and consistent groups out of mine. Even though I prefer my Remington R1 over the SP2022 for daily carry purposes, the rail on the SP2022 makes it my go-to night time and bedside firearm. I have put over a thousand rounds through mine and it has never had a FTF or FTE. I'm with you, the SP2022 is a really good firearm.

  • This is a great gun. I have a couple of hundred rounds through mine without problem and it has been extremely accurate. Keep it up nutn' - great videos.

  • I got a SP2022 in 9mm after I turned 21 and I love it. I use it primarily as my defensive handgun at college and while traveling. It's a great weapon for a low price, and is very underrated. As my first handgun, it's a great one!

  • @nutnfancy just wanted to let you know that the USCG a year ago moved to the 229 DAK 40 S&W

  • Did you say "couple of ounces WIDER" ?????? :)

  • time to add another gun to "the list" thanks nutn.

  • anyone know where to get a threaded barrel?

  • i have one and its a pos. ive had it about a month now and from 10yds it shoots low 2 feet. for me to hit what im aiming for i have to line the top of the back sight with the front lip of the ejection port. i noticed the barrel does hang down and rest at the bottom of of the muzzle port but so do so many other pistols i own. im going to call Sig tomorrow about it. any one else got a suggestion on the issue?

  • @BigJT2010 I own 2 226's and this sig 2022. I can transition from shooting the 226's to the 2022 without having to aim any different. So... I don't really know what happened with your pistol. I've been blown away by the accuracy. To be honest, when I'm going for my EDC pistol, I have switched to this one as a my primary. Have you tried shooting another 2022?

  • @drainoman35 no i havent shot another one. im the only person i know to own a sig.

  • @BigJT2010 Yeah... I have a similar situation. Out of all my gun nut friends, I'm the only one who owns a sig. Everyone just keeps complaining about the price. I've been shooting almost exclusively Sig and FNH pistols for a few years now. They don't believe they can be cost effective until I take them to the gun store and show them. Who knows. *shrug* But yeah, maybe take it to a gun smith and see what he says too.

  • @drainoman35 Yeah most of my friends aren't as big of gun nuts as I am other than my father, and as a college student I cant continue blowing money on guns like I did in december. But I spoke to a gunsmith about it and as soon as I get my taxes back ill be seeing whats up with it. Unless hes your buddy most gunsmiths wont tell you your issue for free.

  • @BigJT2010 That seems a little shitty. Then again, I have only talked with a couple gun smiths of the well known ones here in town. Info was free, work was not. Hmm, oh well. Stupid question, I'm sure, but have you searched the web to see if anyone else experiences the same thing? Maybe they have come up with a way to fix that or some more information why certain ones shoot great while others are less than desirable.

  • @drainoman35 Ive tried looking up information on forums for other issues, but generally (if any) they were before the 200rd break in. But oddly enough, about 40 mins ago I was thinking about this conversation I decided to go try the sig out again and it performed fine. maybe me and my grandpa were just having an off day last week or maybe it was the rain somehow, but at 30yds I had a 9'' or so group. not perfect but its a polar opposite of last week.

  • @BigJT2010 Ah, the infamous human factor. Hopefully that sorted the issue out. In my experience with pistols, this is one of my favorites!!

  • @BigJT2010 New spring will fix it

  • @redmax28 If you need a polymer gun you should think about the Walther PPQ. It's light, accurate, reliable and won't break the bank! Check out the Nutnfancy's review if interested.

  • Saw another Vid where the Sig 2009 mags are the exact same as the 2022 but about $15 less at factory, plus they are blues, not phosphate

  • if it was lighter weight would the rating have been better?

  • @Rougewolf I understand that. But the sales rep told that the notch in the slide where the lever locks the slide can be damaged if released like that and thus the slide will never lock again.

  • Hey Nutnfancy and viewers. I see that you released the slide by pressing on the slide lever. I'm a newbie to guns and always willing to learn. The local gun store told me releasing the slide like that can damage the slide; then he showed me the proper way. What do you guys think?

  • @PackofRedTigers What do you think happens every time you shoot the gun? The slide goes back and slams forward.

  • hey Nutn, which holster do you recommend for the Sig SP2022 9mm?

  • Hey nutn, I know your a busy guy so if you don't answer I understand. Just wondering which you would pick the sig2022 or fnp9. I like them both about the same but just can't seem to choose which one to buy. If you could throw out your opinion it would be cool. Keep up the great videos.

  • Have you seen the Mecgar mags Nutn? The fit is not what I have come to expect from them, it was reliable but fit loose and the baseplate was not flush to the magazine well. Just fyi because I love your vids and so many TNPers take your words as law, don't know if you would endorse this particular Mecgar mag once you put eyes on it.

  • The SP2022 is an awesome gun. I've shot well over 1000 rounds through mine with no issues. It is now my bug out gun.

  • @redmax28 Why are you trading your Glock? Just get a new Sig and have 2 awesome warrior pistols.

  • @74Hobbes The glock isn't a personal owned gun but a department issued, I got permission finally to carry a personal owned firearm as long as it made certain specs so I won't be keeping the glock.

  • @redmax28 Cool! Thank you for being out there and working to keep our streets safe.

  • @74Hobbes No problem! It's a job I love and one I do well at with great rewards

  • @redmax28 yeah man I agree with TheNopedawg, I have a SP2022 and love it but would I trust it with my life? No. If you are trading in a G19 then why don't you look into the p229 then. Just my 2 cents

  • @TheMouseRalph I would choose the p229 if I could but I am required to get a polymer framed gun hence the sp2022 or the p07. Plus that's why you'll never see a Minneapolis officer with a 1911 anyomre. :(

  • @redmax28 If polymer is what you need.... I may be just a little biased but you should really check out the HK P30. It is by for the MOST comfortable handgun I have ever shot. With HK's long history of accuracy and reliability it's a win win. I know it's expensive but I think you owe it to yourself and your family to invest in a piece of equipment that can keep you coming home to them every night. You deserve the best weapon possible and I truely believe it's the P30. Thanks for all you do.

  • @TheMouseRalph I've never shot the P30 but did hold it once. It was very nice and will check it out! Thanks for the suggestion!

  • music is gay...

  • correction on the last sentance, I need something that I won't have to think twice about when buying and I am trading in a glock 19 for this. The grips fit great in both guns (CZ and Sig) but would appreciate your input. Thank you for your time

  • I am an LEO in NE Minneapolis( the Detroit of MN) and have been given permission by my Patrol Lieutenant to purchase a firearm for duty carry as opposed to the issued guns. I am looking at both the CZ P07 and SP2022 the hardest. WHich would you recommend? I am a lefty (I've heard the jokes...) and this is something I WILL eventually use. In my 5 years as an officer, I have discharged my weapon in the line of duty 8 times. I need I won't think twice apout. (I am trading out a glock for this

  • @redmax28 I don't know officer if you want to trust your life on an entry level budget model sig. You might want to look into a $1000 sig if your life depends on it. Although french police do get by with a sp2022.

  • Does anyone know if the mag release on the SP2022 is reversible for left hand use?

  • @AirForceAce3571 yes sir it is

  • TNP changed my life you are the shit!!!

  • my dad has this in .40 s&w and it does NOT like steel cased ammo. the weapon was just cleaned and the spent cases just wouldnt eject properly. but still, this is an excellent pistol!

  • @kimosavae I've noticed it can be picky about ammo, even brass.

  • Great review nutn! just curious, what do you personally use as self defense ammo for your edc pistol?

  • I shot an SP2022 .40 & loved it! I'm planning on going out to shoot with friends again hopefully soon.

I'm a rifle lover getting into autopistols. I feel the SA/DA with Decocker is the best way to go & is the most professional in an autopistol. It makes the most sense with proper practice. DA for safety and SA for accuracy. My dream come true... it looks good too :D

  • Question, would a holster specifically a shoulder holster that is for a Sig 220/226 and Sig P228/P229 also work for the Sp 2022?

  • two of the great things of this pistol is the extended slide release and the decocker. i have small hands and i can use both from a shooting position. i hate glocks for this reason. i have to change positions to pretty much do anything.

  • @1hogfan83 I share your pain on the Glock grip. You may want to look into the Gen 4 series that has a smaller default grip, with adjustable backstraps. I have smaller hands too & hated older Glock grip sizes but Gen 4 fits me perfectly. I'm actually currently saving up for a Gen 4 G17.

  • @AirForceAce3571 I Held the Gen 4 G17 at a gun show. Felt great. Want one.

But today I shot my friend's Sig SP2022 .40 and loved it. I think either would be fine. I am going to be checking on that serial number for that pre-2008 quality control issue mentioned above.

  • My favorite handgun ever.

  • French Police and Gendarmerie service pistol! <3 this weapon.

  • HOORAY FOR NUTNFANCY'S TABLETOP REVIEWS!!!

  • It's funny you mention how you have sold a bunch of P226s for Sig because that's probably very true! It's your great reviews that helped me make a decision and get one last week!

  • Took the plunge and picked this pistol up in 9mm. I love it. It was between SP 2022, the Springfield XD 9 and the the M&P 9mm. Im glad I went with the Sig as my first pistol. Shoots awesome and it's very very accurate. Thanks for the table top review.

  • I have this gun in .40 and love it. One of the best factory triggers I've shot. It is def a underrated Sig but priced right.

  • on the fence on if i should get a 2022 or a cz p-07, anyone have any thoughts?

  • I just got this yesterday in .40 S&W. I'm noticing a few features different than the 9mm. There's no loaded chamber indicator (which I personally like because it makes it easier to holster, and IMHO you shouldn't trust it to know that it's loaded or not), the decocker is a little different, and mine has an internal extractor. I don't know how I should feel about that. I've heard on 1911s that internal extractors work a lot better, but IDK about how that will play out on a sig.

  • Hey Nutn, I'm looking for a new 40cal and I'm thinking 2022 or Walther PPQ. I know they are are apples and oranges but which would you pick? I carry a Kahr cw and also own a M&P compact both chambered in 9 and I want something a little longer so I can shoot better groups.

  • @lament383 WOW Thats the exact situation Im in. LOL

  • Thanks again for the table top. Love it!

  • yeah sig pro are some the best, most affordable guns from their line. Anyone interested in a compact glock 19 with DA/SA system should take a look....

  • I am currently in the market for a full sized handgun. I had a Glock 23, but I sold it to contribute to my AR-15 fund. I got my AR-15 awhile ago, now I want a full sized handgun. I have been looking at these and the FN FNX-9 and FNP-9. I really like the idea of owning a Sig, but FN has always intrigued me too. I guess it will come down to which I can get a better deal on.

Thanks for the table top. Great job as always.

  • awesome review! might get one for my dad since he loved fondling my p226 but i cant afford that right now. thanks again for the video.

  • The Sig SP2022 is my most recent purchase, and I've laways wanted a SIG 226 or the 228. I just could not save a $1,000 without spending it on another gun that was cheaper lol. I finaly picked up SP 2022 and put 180 rounds of Whinchester 9mm 115 grain FMJ, and I had no malfunctions what so ever! I was very happy with the results and to finaly be a SIG owner. Thank you Nutnfancy for this great reveiw!

  • My local shop could hook me up for less cuz they love me :) But you're right, this video WILL help get this gun noticed. I mean I'm interested now that it's less than half the price of a nice 226.

  • Cheaper then dirt and buds has them for around $350-$400

  • Can anyone quote me any prices on an SP2022 w/night sights? Thanks Nutn for reassuring me in this awesome pistol. Keep up the good work!

  • Shot mine for the first time yesterday after receiving it. Ran beautifully with no hiccups using PMC Brass. Factory night sight came almost dead on and required no adjustment. I bought a couple 17 round mecgar magazines from ManVentureOutpost for $28.33 each and they ran perfect as well. No complaints at all, for anything. Thanks again Nutn for educating me on this wonderful pistol.

  • $31/mag at topgunsupply for factory mags

  • thanks for serving smell my brother is in afghan also in sangin

  • Bought one today as back up to my fnp-9. Thanks for the info!

  • hey nutnfancy i just bought a sig p2022 i have about 160 rounds through it and it performed great but it was manufactured in exeter, NH do you think that it will still be good because i heard of the quality control issues at exeter, NH

  • I am looking into purchasing either the Sig SP2022 or the Walther PPQ. Mostly for a step into WROL preparedness. This gun will be my first gun, could anyone tell me the main beneifits in going over the PPQ (since it is around $150-200 more?) I appreciate any input from any of you. Thanks Nutn, probably the 5th time I have watch this

  • @nvcn00 SP2022 is DA/SA as opposed to the striker fired design of the PPQ.

  • @nvcn00 The PPQ has a consistent trigger with unsurpassed trigger reset, no decocker for totally smooth sides & simplicity of use, and is fully ambidextrous. The SP2022 is a fine gun, and a heck of a bargain. If you buy one, you will be happy. But the PPQ is such a slick system I would go with that if you can possibly afford it.

  • i got my new sig sp2022 the trigger is a little wierd but that is supposed to get better with use i have about 150 through it so far no problem

  • Thanks for the review... my wife needed a lighter frame than the CZ and other steel frames in our safe. The Glocks just do not aim intuitively for her. Bought a 2022 and find it better than adequate.

  • Ok... I'm a huge Sig fan. FWIW, here's what I know about the Sig Pro:

    1) it shoots great. I shoot it as well as my W. German P228.

    2) They have been made in Germany since 99. Exeter also started making them, I think when they moved from the 2009 to SP2022 designation. The problems are almost exclusively with the Exeter guns. The German ones have been pretty much flawless. This seems to be the story of Sigs period.

    3) Older Sig Pros come with Med and Large grips. New come with Med and Small.

  • @AnObfuscator Thanks for putting this up, I just ordered my own 2022, and was wondering which extra grips I would have to order. The Medium was pretty comfortable, but I had been planning on trying a small. Glad I don't have to order it.

  • lol @ 22:11 "HONK! Looks like my wife's date is here" ... awesome.

  • I gotta say bro... I keep coming back to this vid over and over again. I went to my local FFL the other day to take a gander and WOW does that thing just feel great in the hand. I'd have to say that it honestly feels better in my hand than my G23! For the price, you really can't beat this deal! After shooting a few Sig's in the past, I think the weight is a positive as it helps lessen the FELT recoil and would benefit younger and/or your female shooter.

  • Went to a gun show yesterday and saw this... i was surprise with its price tag almost 25% of what i was expecting. To be frank i went there to get either a glock or an XD. Went home with neither, went home with nothing actually XD, because of the 2022. This changed the plan dang. Any way haven't held any other hand gun besides revolvers and 1911's. The 1st thing i noticed was the Sigs, when I raise them to a firing position (two hand grip), i always end up with a perfect sight alignment

  • Comment removed

  • @HaitoTrece The Glocks and the XD's front sight always ended up slightly to the left. And this was the 1st time i held any of these handguns. So i decided to hold off with the purchase. The 2022's cost a little bit more and i needed to wait till after Christmas XD. Thanks for this table top review Nutnfancy, would never have passed the Sig booth (since I doubted wether i could actually aford one) if not for you. One question, if both 9 and 40 ammunition were abundant which one would you get?

  • @HaitoTrece I think he stated in one of his most recent vids that the 40 S&W has really grown on him. Not speaking for him, but if both cartridges are abundant and priced competitively with one another I'd go with the 40 if you're able to deal with the slight addition to weight. Good luck!

  • I just got back from the gun shop feeling this gun up. I had a hand-gasm. The ergos were some of the best I've seen, and the trigger, maybe not the absolute lightest double action, had the absolute smoothest double action trigger I've felt in a pistol.

I will definitely be getting this for home defense and (hopefully) concealed carry.

  • I would like to see a table top review of the CZ75 P07 Duty, thinking of buying one. In fact, I might buy one today if I can find a local dealer that stocks them and the price is right.

  • @ mig they have recently restarted production due to increased demand. It is also the preferred side arm of the DEA

  • I have owned this gun for about a year and have never had a problem. I also own the sig holster. Itac is the manufacturer. Thanks for the review and be sure to check out the torture test that the Italian guys do on YouTube. I think after watching you will give it the proper "go to war gun" classification that it deserves!

  • False Tags. Nothing but. Sig. I like Sigs. But I'm looking for Nano info.

  • FYI. I just picked one up after watching your review. But I could not find them anywhere for $425 with night sights. I paid $389.00 for mine with contrast sights. Still hard to beat for the price.

  • Great vid as usual. I was impressed with the gun so much, I made it my first gun after getting my CC license. I hope to have it before thanksgiving so I can head out to the range.

  • bout time i been begging forever lol thank you nutn

  • Congratulate me...I just got a great deal on an SP2022 in 9mm with night sights...I was calling local FFL's about their transfer fees and one guy said he could get it cheaper than all my other quotes (online and my local dealers'). I just mentioned that I was watching that Nutnfancy review of the SP2022 and he busts out that deal...and it turns out he's only 2 blocks away from home base. Go figure, huh? Thank You Nutnfancy for you awesome review that helped me with this fantastic purchase_M11

  • @IntTransModel11 congrats!! I just picked one up for 375 brand new I traded in a pos pistol for it.. Can't wait to get some rounds down range with it now.

  • Nutn, I'm confused why you don't consider the SP2022 a "go to war gun" after bestowing that title on the excellent Walther PPQ, which doesn't have much of a track record and hasn't been adopted by a large LE or military organization like the SP2022 has. As you said, the SP2022 was one of the largest handgun contracts ever and the gun is supposed to have a 20 year service life. Hence the designation for the year 2022. When I was in France it was the only sidearm I ever saw carried by all loca

  • Well Nutnfancy, it is about time you reviewed this gun. I asked for it in July 2009. I love this gun.

    By the way, you rock!

  • I thought you carry condition one?

  • Nutn, I myself have recently come into the know about another line of Tauruses, the 800 series(809,809c,840,840c,845) , that are da/sa hammer polymers. They seem to have little advertising for them from Taurus as they bias the 24/7s, but evidently the G2s are based off of the 800 series. There aren't too many reviews for them right now, most are quite favorable though. The most stand out quality about them is the price, around $334-$400. May be my next purchase. Seem similar to Sig/FNX

  • Hey, nutn. Just finished watching this. You keep referring to the SP2340 and SP2009 as the Sig Pro. This may lead some to believe the SP2022 is a polymer version of the P200 series. Such is not the case. Like the previous two SP series pistols, the SP2022 is a Sig Pro... hence the grip markings and SP in the series numbering. Thanks for the great review!

  • Wow, I've been waiting so long for a good review on this pistol. Thanks Nutnfancy :D

  • You sold me on the P226! It was my first pistol and sucked to pony up the ticket price. But ,all and all, I still have it and would never sell it. Thanks, Nutn.

  • its a 226/229 for mass purchase by police/forces

  • At last! I was just about to ask you about that gun that I see all the time in French police holsters. By the way, speaking of holsters, you can get the Safariland 6004 or the Blackhawk! CQC Serpa for this baby. Actually French police officers carry it in the Safariland, most of the time.

  • Palmetto State Armory (.com) has these on sale right now, 9mm and .40 cal for $350 + $15 shipping if anyone is interested. Done business with them several times, always had great customer service and speed.

  • @kc8omg that is where I am getting mine from. I can't wait to receive it

  • @kc8omg How did I not see this post? I will be picking up a .40 cal from them shortly. Thanks for posting it.

  • ssssh! Those will be sold out soon, there's no way that's the market clearing price.

  • Music credits please!? Who was playing and what? Good video btw

  • @ozark1951 Opps, just found it. Jason Shaw I assume. Good stuff.

  • You got to it before 2022. Love it. It's the Gendarmerie who bought just over a quarter million of them so GIGN carries it. Pretty good endorsement for Sig. Lol

  • HA!!! Like the music in the begining!!! ...Nothing better than sitting my ass on this chair, eating a pizza, and watching Nutnfancy's kick ass videos. =D

  • I was tainted when I first got into shooting. A friend of mine that got me into shooting is a big Sig and Beretta fan. He sold me a 229 DAK and I fell in love with it. He only had 400 rounds through it and he sold it to me for 800.00. I didn't know that they were so expensive. I only own sig guns and a few other makers like Springfield. But all my friends want to shoot my stuff!

  • Hey guys, what do you think of the Hk P2000sk?

It looks like a good conceal carry..

  • @wcgold2 a bit chunky/thick dude but its your choice

  • This is my house gun. love it. So many variation and history to it. bought a CA legal one about three months ago. Completely Exeter made with internal extractor and no loaded chamber indicator. 9mm. Nice how the Grip change is a complete change not just a 'backstrap' gimmick.

  • Good review. I went out to the gun store to finger this firearm and I must say, it definitely feels heavy for a polymer gun, but the price is right.

Cant wait to see the CZ P07 Duty review, I been aching to buy one, but wanna see another review from someone who has a lot of time behind it. Unfortunately it's also the only firearm I wanna buy that nobody nearby sells or keeps in stock, so I can't get a feel for it.

My only gripe with the SP2022 is the $40 magazines and it only comes with 1.

  • Have you seen Magpul Dynamics - Art of the Dynamic Handgun, guys? There's a trailer out on youtube.

  • We've had 4 of these in the family for about 2 years now. All have run flawlessly. Best kept secret in the semiauto pistol world as far as I'm concerned. Keep up the good work, nutn!

  • I loved the trigger on my .40 and shot it very well, but It wasn't flawless. It never had any stoppages, but it did suffer from hammer follow (returned to DA mode after cycling instead of staying cocked). I had to send it back twice, but Sig's customer service was very responsive and took care of all the shipping. I sold it because my thumb interfered with the slide catch and the slide would lock open with rounds left in the mag. This sounds negative, but don't take it that way! If your persona

  • THANK YOU!! I've been looking forward to this review. Now I know more and feel more confident to go buy it after a year of being on the fence about it.

  • i'm from canada, and there is not such a big following for this pistol. i have about 700 rounds through mine, with various brands of ammunition without any FTF or FTE. accessories for the SP2022 is scarce in canada. i have confidence that if i took this gun to an IPSC match, it will perform well. this gun should last into year 2022 (hence the designation).

  • Hope to see you shoot that CZ P-07 soon! Love that gun, keeps everything I care about safe at night. And great to hear someone promote flashlites on home defense guns. Many of the "older" fellows at the gunshop I work at say they just give away your position...

  • So I walked into the new gun store in my town this evening and ask if they have a Sig SP2022 in stock I could look at. I get this snobbish elitist shpiel from the guy behind the counter about how the SP2022 sucks because it's so cheap. I tried to be nice and ask about my second choice, the Ruger SR9, and I get the same elitist crap from this guy about the SR9. Maybe he was trying to get me to buy a more expensive gun, but I won't be buying anything from this guy.

  • Exactly the gun I was wondering about! And nutnfancy reads my mind!

  • Nutn could you do a review on the Stoeger/Beretta 2000 couger in 9mm, Based on what you have said about the Sig 2022 I believe you would really like the gun, It is $375-400, 15rd 9mm, extremely accurate, and to my knowledge very reliable. Just a thought on a reliable affordable option.

  • love your channel and your personality keep it up

  • I've got about 700 rounds through mine and i've had a couple failures to hold open after the last round. Anyone else having this problem?

  • I would love to see a table top o the cz p07

  • @benccc47 Me too. Aching to see it considering I'm holding onto my money to see a review. It's between the P07, SP2022 and M&P9 for me. All would be around $490 for me in Illinois.

  • Loaded weight will change with the type of ammo you are using. Bullet weight, total weight of different cartridges, and the caliber are all variables.

  • Hey, hey! What about the P220? The best .45 auto ever made.

  • I am so excited that you reviewd the 2022 because I am looking to getting it as my first CCW. looking forward to watching the review.

  • @kriegersa also the 2 safety things I like most about it are the DA/SA triggers and the hammer drop lever.

  • LOL at 22:15 "looks like my wife's date is here".

Good review on the SP2022. I had passed on this earlier in the year as did not know anything about it.

  • french Police nationale and gendarmerie are equipped with this gun

  • I love my SP2022!!! I ccw this gun along with my P-238?

  • Sigs are sexy guns

  • When I first saw this video with InadvertentSmell, I thought it was a SP2022. Having owned one for 3 years now without any major issues, I have to say it is one of my favorite pistols. The price-point also makes it a good option for: "A Sig For Less" like in the FN pistol series.

  • Thanks TNP, I do conceal carry my Sig 2022. In my crossbreed holster I find it easily manageable. Yet to have any issues with it after several years of ownership.

  • I still don't understand why gun companies and reviewers talk about the weight w/ empty mag. Who, honestly, gives a shit about that? No one carries their gun unloaded. Give me the weight with a fully loaded, standard capacity mag. Some will say "The loaded weight depends on the rounds in the mag". Well, they're right. But the difference between an 8 round 1911 mag loaded with 180gr and 1 with 230gr is minimal. So can we please start giving loaded weights?

  • @OhshitPositive Why add variability into something that currently does not? Also I don't know if these are right, but I seen 9mm 115gr at .416 ounce and 147gr at .486 ounce. In a 9mm service pistol mag (i.e. 15+ rounds), that is a decent difference. Plus I'd imagine the Blazer aluminum ammo is even lighter.

  • @duragezic The difference won't be more than 1.5oz in anything. And it's better to get a realistic weight than an unrealistic one. No one carries an unloaded gun. Therefore the unloaded weight doesn't matter. Saying "you're looking at 40 oz (+/- an oz) for a loaded 1911 with an aluminum frame" is better info than "this 1911 weighs 32oz unloaded". It lets you know what you can expect to be carrying. Nutn' does such a good job with reviews, it just bugs me that he doesn't cover the loaded weight.

  • Thanks for putting this out Nutn. I had been hoping to get a 226/229, but haven't been able to come up with the funds. You turned me on to this pistol, and I went to my local gun store and checked it out this weekend. Planning on purchasing one of my own within the month. Another great review that had far more of an impact on my plans than what I was expecting when I tuned in.

  • What the hell? This music sounds like an acoustic version of the Hamster Dance song. lol

  • My friend was looking for an affordable Sig in 9mm, and we stumbled upon the SP2022, on sale with a factory laser. He bought it, and after shooting his new SP2022 that day, I was so impressed by it, that I went back the next day and bought one for myself. I couldn't be happier with the Sig SP2022, and this review just confirms what my friend and I have been saying about this relatively "unknown" Sig. Awesome ergonomics, accuracy, reliability, and overall value. Great vid, and well done Sig!

  • I haven't seen an internal extractor SP2022 in nearly 2 years.

I have an all German 2022 and love it! I want another one, but all the new ones I see have the external extractor. The fit and finish on them aren't as nice as mine, either.

Oh, what have you done Sig? Where have my German Sigs gone?

  • I looked at the 2022 the other day (a used one) and walked away undecided but not unimpressed. Today I held a p229 and thought, "Wonderful, I'll get that 2022," before remembering that the 2022 and p229 are not identical in length. I have small hands. What's the difference in reach for the trigger? The 2022 felt a bit long (but since it was used, I don't know what grip size was). The p229 felt just about right. What I'm hoping is the 2022 with the smallest grip will be the same. Any thoughts?

  • @carlcurtis The large grips for the 2022 are about the size of a 226 the smaller grips would probably fit you perfectly.

  • 30 ounces is alot????? its only 2 pounds

  • @gableness It's definitely noticeable though, when you pick up say a Sig and a XD or Glock. Not significant like "this is too heavy" but you can tell and lighter weight is nicer, usually.

  • @duragezic i just dont like light guns and 2 pounds its not alot to me 5 or 6 pounds is alot i consider 2 pounds light to me

  • @gableness So you walk around with a S&W Model 500 (4.5 lbs) stuffed inside your waistband or hanging off your belt? As 2 lbs is light and 5-6 is heavy to you?

    Didn't think so.

  • @RidgeRunner88 i can answer my self all im saying is 2 pounds is not heavy to me maybe to you 2 pounds is alot but not to me so dont be a dick about it

  • Speaking of the Beretta Nano... how about you get your hands on one and be the first to table top it?

  • SIG for a good price? Check out factory refurbished!

  • i can believe how great the 2022 shoots for its price range. im glad you did a review on this so people can know about this great pistol (who dont know already) and should at least experience one in hand in the gun store. you wont be disappointed.

  • First off, very nice group at the begining of the vid. I have to say that this is a Sig that was not to thrilled about with just first looks. However, now after watching this video and hearing the price point I would consider adding this gun to my collection. Awesome job on the video and thanks for doing this video!

  • do you like the 2022 better than the p226??
