Look at the VA. Considered the best health care in the world. Run by the government. The CEO of Cigna received a bonus of 73 million dollars. How many policies have to be skimmed to pay one salary of 73 million dollars? I'm not getting this at all. US Government is made up of we the people. We are not China. Why would a party want to run the government that insists anything the government does results in failure? I just don't get it.

End of life counselling is there to allow the insured tell relatives and doctors what they want to happen as their life comes to an end. These questions are asked well before a person becomes ill and incompetent to make these decisions for themselves. It could be to choose "save my life any way you can because my life is precious" as much as "avoid prolonging my death". This is NOT a first step to Euthanasia and was supported by REPUBLICANS as it went through mark up in congress!!!

In fact, it is common practice to get routine DNR (do not resuscitate) orders on as many long term patients as possible. Sometimes family will interfere with their parents' wishes. Most parents do not want "full code" when asked. Many old folks end up in ICU with broken ribs from CPR and end up dying anyway. Really research this.
