  • Thanks for sharing this informative clip. I was just wondering if you knew the name of male news broadcaster who introduced the news. If you happen to know, please let me know. :)

  • who ever pulled thos off stole my dream

  • a polish factory worker named Fransheska ? had fooled people including some of the romanov family for years claiming to be the long lost Anastasia. Shortly after the assassinations, many were led to believe that the two Romanov children escaped the Bolshaveik firing squad, particularly Anastasia. After Fransheska died, her DNA proved she was not the real Anastasia.

  • The remains had identical mitochondrial DNA to that of Prince Phillip, a grandson of Empress Alexandra's sister, Victoria. The bodies of the Empress and those of three of her daughters were found first in a mass grave. One daughter and the Tsarevich were missing from the grave and were found later in a separate grave. They were identified as Maria and Alexei on the basis of skeletal findings indicating a particular age equivalent to that of the children when they were murdered.

  • russia was a good country until those communist dogs took over and dug russia a deep pit that they are still getting out of. Rest In Peace Romanovs

  • Unless I am mistaken, Maria and Anastasia are two different people. Olga, Tatiana, Anastasia, Maria, and Alexei I believe are his five children.

  • @TheLemurgirl You are right but the video title means that the remains may belong either to Maria or Anastasia.

  • @bajadaarmendariz The truth is that when the remains were originally found, the scientists agreed that Anastasia was among them, however the fact that one daughter was still missing led to the belief/hope that Anastasia might have still escaped. With all the daughters accounted for, this hope was finally laid to rest.

  • Here's a question that I have. DNA testing can only confirm that they were related to the Romanovs. Prince Phillip of England gave a same of his blood in 1992, because he was an ancestor, and that was how they confirmed the remains that were found in 1991. How can the scientists be sure that these are Alexei and Maria? I am genuinely curious.

  • @maryelizabeth1968 Don't forget they also used Nicky's DNA (blood in Shirt) and from the remains of Georgy, Nicky's younger brother. All DNA samples plus Prince Philip's matched those obtained from all the remains, including Alexei and Maria(Anastasia). I invite you to watch Finding Anastasia in this same channel.

  • @TsarevichAlexeiSite Thank you.

  • @TsarevichAlexeiSite Very true - also, Prince Philip's DNA was put against that of Anna Anderson (the most famous woman who claimed to be Anastasia) and they were proved to be UNRELATED.

  • Long live imperial russia!

  • May the Imperial Martyrs pray for Mother Russia and rest in peace Burn in hell Lenin and Stalin

  • Rest in peace Romanov family.

Burn in hell Lenin , Jacob Yurovsky and other criminal bolsheviks. This massacre won't be forgotten.
