1.) the ability 2 make generators more efficient by conserving whatever energy is used, incl. employing "wasted" energy such as electromagnetic emission, etc.

2.) En in = En out; CAN'T CREATE/DESTROY ENERGY, etc. So for example, you'd need some nonviable source of energy such as cyclic gravity, etc.?

One can use a field such as gravity (and magnetism) to convert one form of energy into another, but one cannot use a field in itself to perform work such as turning a wheel.
