Whoever thought that Ricky Rudd, who won Rookie of the Year in 1977, would have to wait until 1983 to win his first cup race, in the Budweiser 400 at Riverside?
Then again, Mark Martin was a rookie in '83 (or '82, could be wrong, but either way he didn't win ROTY), but he didn't win his first Cup race until 1989, in the AC Delco 500 at Rockingham driving for Jack Roush.

@MotorsportsHistoryTV do you have the first ten laps of this race? Pearson stormed three wide to lead Lap 1 and Bonnett got into it hard with Waltrip and company.

Ontario Motor Speedway was a great speedway.
This particular race was very good - the lead changed twice a lap for most of the first ten laps.

This was the last Dodge win back in 1977 before leaving Nascar Cup Series until 2001
