To JMC fan, I agree that Jimmy was already a rock veteran by the time he Joined Paul and Wings. From my personal experience, I play in a rock-n-roll band we make a bit of money here and there. I was hired as a for Hire player in a very popular band as the guitar player had kidney stones so I played a few gigs. I made more money playing those gigs then I have in the past or will in the future. MY POINT - as the bands get larger and more fameous so does the rot that comes out of the walls.
I kinda wish jimmy would have never meet Paul he was just too young for that type of fame (i.e., Pressure) I only learned of Jimmy via the Wingspan DVD. Having said that I remember hearing maybe I'me amazed and thinking wow this never sounded so good, Now I know why. I can only imagine where this young soul would be have he stayed on this plane for a while longer. As a guitar player I emulate his style often so simplisticly elegant not 2000 notes per second just well placed. RIP my friend.
@higgit161 Jimmy was already a rock veteren by the time he joined McCartney at age 21. He turned professional when he was 15 and became the youngest guitarist to ever play on a UK #1 single with Something in The Air when he was a member of Thunderclap Newman.
