  • Hi Great Video, Could you tell me or anyone please, i seem to have a problem with my HP Dv6T laptop, first of all the main problem is that the fan seems to be running quite loudly but when i put my hand near the vent i can feel air coming out so i dont think its cleaning issue, #however as soon as i change power schemes from say Power Saver to HP Recommended the fan starts immideatley and keeps running and immediately as soon as i switch back it goes to normal.Any solutions appreciated.thank

  • You need to wash the Heatsink with dawn and water and a lil brush to ensure you got the sticky that will attract more dirt faster than before.

and then a good spritz of pure alcohol

Also when replacing heatsink you need to clean cpu and reapply the Thermal compound i use PGS (graphite sheets)

    other than that good video

  • plz tell me what i shud do to prevent static discharge. Just a few yrs ago I paid 9000 rs to get my laptop repaired as the motherboard had failed. dont know if it was bcoz of static elec. However if i use antistatic wrist strap, wooden table and a static pad will my laptop be 100% safe? I want to clean the fan at least as my AMD laptop is getting very hot & theres dirt on the fan. I dont want to pay my engineer 300 rs every 2 months just to get the fan and heatsink sprayed with compressed air.
