Actually if you watch some of the closings on the WFAA newscasts, the picture was running in reverse. The traffic on the freeway going backwards was a dead giveaway if you look hard enough
I know that area at 0:43!! It's Dallas's Campbell Centre. I lived in The Village Apartments on Southwestern Blvd from the time I was an infant until I was twelve, so these are my old stomping grounds! Memories...
Well, these photos in the long credits (except the last one) are the same one used in the long close during the TM Spirit era. BarrySacks4 put a clip up that has this. (Music: Phase 1, my top favorite)
I wish KXTV in Sacramento stayed with Belo so that they could keep the Spirit signature and used the Propulsion theme. But NO! They were sold to Gannett in 1999 when KVUE Austin decided to swap company ownership. But at least they had their spirit motif's while they were a Belo Corp. subsidiary.
Well, when I first saw this close back in '95, all of the photos in the full credits that I saw were those photos of the TM Spirit '84 era (and some of the photos in this clip were featured in that era).
This is neat...never heard this! Sounds like there is a splice in the music at :34. Perhaps the theme was longer and WFAA cut it. If you need any help with direct uploads, just let me know I'd be happy to help!
This is a digital camera recording of my TV screen, sorry for the black lines...its mainly the music I was posting it for anyway. There is a delay in the audio, which is not on my hard drive recording, but appears on the YouTube video, so you don't hear the very last beat.
It brought a tear to my eye seein Reunion Area, knowin now that its gone.

Any chance you could re-post this with a direct video to PC computer capture?

Yeah, now that I have a DVD-R/VCR, I'm copying tons of stuff, and I'm sure this will turn up somewhere :)

Renay San Miguel is now a correspondent for CBS news on the credits shown.

I always wondered where he and all the other WFAA alumni turned up.

Whoever created this news package definitely gets 5 stars from me. Maybe someone could bring a version of this package back or something.

I'm really new so it will be a while for me to figure out how to do a direct connection to the VCR.

Thanks! Can you get me the MP3 of that music? Like, direct from the tape?

Now, not only we hear the last beat of the close, but we hear the first beat of the ad.
