i love how people are so focused on the game and complain about what happened but if the camera man was shot in the face or eye they would shut up and feel bad paintball is fun and i love it but if i were to lose a eye it wont be so much fun and games

@cccEngineer I have personally seen someone get nailed in the eye. He had his mask on when he entered but mid game he decided to remove it, while getting shot at. He popped up to see if any one was near and one ball nailed him in the eye. The round was over I took him off the field sat him down his mom came and said sorry you had to see that. Then the games continued. Moral of the story the camera guy is an idiot and Paintball never stops fo-suckas.

photographer had no mask on initially. Reff noticed this, and went over to talk to him... photographer ignored the requests of the Reff. The Reff then put his hand on the photographers camera to signify "you should stop, you can't do this" and then the photographer went super sayan and started swinging at the Reff. Granted there shouldn't have been so many Reff's with their focus on that incident, the photographer never should have gone in the netting without a mask.

The photographer asks each team. IF IT IS OKAY with them if he is laying down at whatever location he wants.
If 1 person is not okay with it, he can't stay. The Ref has no authority (IF ANY) to remove someone off a field when the players gave them permission to be there (Video or Photo, what have you) you see refs sitting on the field, No refs on racetracks laying down.
i know why he swung...its because the ref grabbed his camera. i would get pissed too if someone grabbed an expensive camera like that off of me. the ref was probably trying to get him to move because he was blocking a lane or something and he didnt want to.

What if a player needs to run to a bunker the photographer is in line with? I wouldn't wanna try to dodge a guy layin in my way at the same time as shooting and avoiding getting shot, communicating with my team etc.

We wont know the entire story. All I know is. All ref's and players OKAYED for him to be there in the first place. So there was no problem with him being on the field.

I'm a photographer and I get permission before doing this. And if anyone gets in my face. I ask them to speak to the head ref.

he told the red shirt he would come off the field after the point. this was not satisfactory to him. with the cameraman being none compliant he felt the need to attempt to physically remove the cameraman from the field. thats when it got ugly !!!!!

Refs try to get a photographer who isn't wearing eye protection off the field.
Photographer starts throwing punches.
All refs come to subdue the violent photographer and protect his face.
Game ends.
All players throw hissy fits because the refs weren't watching them and trying to keep a photographers eyes working.
A single paintball game is ruined, but a person leaves that day with his vision intact.

I think that is a cop-out to be honest......
The photographer was an asshole (As anyone with a brain could tell).
I don't know how the rules go.... but they should have totally stopped the game, and restarted it after they kicked that schmuck off the field! I wish I was there.... I would have polity asked the refs to leave getting him off the field to me... ("oh, I don't know what happened sirs, I just helped him off the field and he just kinda fell...ooops")

We wont know the entire story. All I know is. All ref's and players OKAYED for him to be there in the first place. So there was no problem with him being on the field.
IF HE WASNT SUPPOSED TO BE ON AT THE TIME. then yes. I completly agree with your statement.
I'm a photographer and I get permission before doing this. And if anyone gets in my face. I ask them to speak to the head ref.
If they touch me in any way in means of removing me off the field. It's assault.

he told the red shirt he would come off the field after the point. this was not satisfactory to him. with the cameraman being none compliant he felt the need to attempt to physically remove the cameraman from the field. thats when it got ugly !!!!!
James was a loyal friend but a bit of a hot head , he pasted away less then a year after the event. he is missed and will always be remembered the good and the bad R.I.P Jimmy
