  • the loop was TOOOOOO long, but nice!

  • @ nemestika:

There are many loops, but I know which one you're talking about and yes, it is quite long, but that was my favorite part. This mix was actually the base for another mix that was intended to go overtop of this one where that long loop made a lot more sense. I did eventually do that secondary mix, but it was never quite right, so I didn't even bother recording it.

  • Funny how reading the description, the uploader mentioned "C89" in Seattle.

I discovered this song from a club in somewhere between Tacoma and Seattle. It wasn't "Omni" nor my favorite "Maxim's" in Fircrest, Washington (state). Anyhoo... cool and nostalgic song. I even dreamt someone was playing this song THIS MORNING!! ;-)

  • I had the 12" mix of this (12" record). I regret I can't remember what I did to it.

Anyhoo, I will be posting crisp clear music video of this in my channel.

  • Wow, this took me back to a really fun memory in Toronto- my friend had this album and was a hit in the clubs up here in 84. The original 12 inch version sounds very close to your rendition. Good work.. Cheers

  • @covil64

Thank you very much for your compliments, covil64. I really love this song and have never heard the official 12" release, so I made my own. = ) I'll have to sort through the local record shops and see if I can find a copy of the real deal. This track will always be a classic in my mind. Thanks again for checking this out.

  • Thanks, your very welcome, check googleuk , to surf for what they call old school vinyl. Sure you will find the 12 inch. They're better at archiving and keeping classics like that. Btw I heard the song in London 2 years ago in a huge 80's revival club, and the crowd went wild when it was played. It was the 12 inch version, only difference was the bass was more funky..someone prob tweaked the song to their taste.. Ciao

  • Didn't know this one, Rick!

That's a funny thing you did. Extending the song, because you thought it was too short.

  • It's not surprising that you may have missed this one, Tordur. It was quite popular, but it's more a cult classic now.

Many extended / club remixes from back in the day were simply longer versions of the original to allow the DJ a bit more flexibility and wiggle room while mixing the record. I did it only because I loved the song, and wanted to try my hand at it while I was learning how to mix myself.

  • This song has a lot of 80s feeling and brings back some memories of that time. Great mix!

  • Thank you, Andreas. This song feels very nostalgic to me too. Although I did not hear this the first time until 1994, it definately got that unmistakable 80s vibe!
