The only thing that I got out of your comment was mention of the movie "Herbie Rides Again". I saw it when I was about five years old. A pretty decent movie in my opinion.
All the technology that is used on Sesame Street segments of today cannot replace the serenity that is revealed in skits like this. I hope Noggin or some other cable channel will bring back the entire Sesame Street series from the 70's and early 80's. Thanks for posting this segment.
I'm with you 100% - rather, make that 150%! I'm really waiting to see a lot of other Sesame Street clips from that era as well. I know - a lot are on YouTube now, but I hope to see the ones that are harder to get hold of as well!
The nature films on "old-school" Sesame Street were very relaxing and comforting; whoever combined Raposo's music with those just-right images, knew how to set a mood perfectly.
Does anyone have a very emotional animation where a man witnesses his forest get cut down and then replants his forest back to normal?

I wish all of these old scores from Raposo were available on CD/MP3 - doesn't get much more soothing than this!

Music was also used in the gazelle clip. Beautiful flute playing.

What is that small brown animal that comes on when she says trees can be cool and shady just before the man seen sitting under a tree?

This is the same person who did the desert one.

From 0:46-0:56, was that guy who got fruit from the tree Jim Henson with a heavier beard?

I could be wrong, but I think the narrator is the same one that narrated the desert film.

The Spanish-language version of this clip would be shown in the Plaza Sesamo video "De Campamento con Montoya".

I have that too.

RIP: Joe Raposo
He would've been 72 in a few weeks.
