I dont car what the harley fags say. Rebels look cool is you style them retro. Bike that are massive and weigh a ton look dumb. These are the most purely enjoyable motorcycles in my opinion. Like scooters with a supercharger lol.
@curtmastor I gotta say...I love my Rebel, it was my first bike I learned to ride on. My 2004 Harley Davidson 1200 Sportster is a much better riding machine though. More Comfortable, delivers power better, shifts better, sounds better, is faster, and actually handles better in a lot of ways. Also I can pack more stuff on the Harley. I still ride both, but its like night and day switching between the two. Rebels are definitely cool units though. But so are Harleys.
As far as how big is too big for a Honda Rebel, I got one for my wife to learn on and she loves hers. She is tall, 5'9" for a woman. I am 6'1" and ride the bike from time to time for short trips to the store. The only complaint I have is the seat, I would like to sit back a bit further to make some room but the two piece seat makes it uncomfortable to push back a bit.
why are your forks.. red? love my 85 rebel to death! mine sounds like that, all you have to cut a few inches off the end, file it nice, and gut the insides. Cost = $0. And you keep pipes on both sides which is how I like them, nice and balanced.
I'm 6ft 6in and 240lbs and I've been riding my 250 rebel for 4 years now and I'm not going to stop any time soon. I've put 12,000k on it and I don't find it too small or cramped.
I'm not sure you noticed, but if your bike is a 1987 Rebel like you say it is, then it's probably not 250cc's. In 1986 and 1987 Honda made the 450cc Rebel. I have one. You might want to take a second look at your bike and the title from the DMV.
you said there small bikes do you think a guy 5'6 could ride one no problem because I've been looking for a motorcycle for a while and they all just seem to tall for me to ride unless they are lowered quite a bit
@AbaddonsAnimosity i get off my bike "backwards" almost every time. doesnt matter, its a small enough bike to do it. i do it because i had extensive knee surgery on my left knee and its easier to get off on the right side.
Thanks for that. I am 6-1 and 175 and I want one of these for my first bike. Now I know I won't look like Andre the giant on a tricycle.

You got off backwards. I'd advise getting off the other way unless you want to tip your bike over someday.

@80amysue Well thats understandable. Im not saying you CANT get off that way, just that its a little safer going the other way just in case
