My favorite B movie, and one of my favorite movies. I can't believe you saw Primer so recently. I've been watching it, studying it like 2001, and it's a great film. Required watch, if it was released in 09, best film of the year. However, best film of 2004. I would really like to see that Coen brothers review, because Coens are my favorite directors still around, (besides Shane Carruth.)
The best movie was, in my opinion, a tie between Black Dynamite and Inglourious Basterds. And yes, I agree that the Hurt Locker was wholly undeserving of its praise. Hope to see the video games/Ebert video soon.

Up In the air was good but was let down by it's lack of any real ending.
(500) days of summer was fairly good but was let down by the two main characters, they are so bland!
District 9 was very good but got a bit silly towards the end, I thought I was waching another Tranformers film.
None were good enough to be best picture though IMO.
