It's hard to take something away from a band that has been as successful as they have been, but its very discouraging to see James trying to teach Kirk how to play the riff and instead of calling out notes, he calls out "this one" and "that one". Very disappointing. Makes me wonder if he knows which notes are which on the guitar.

I seriously think that Kirk can learn alot of James. I´ve seen Metallica live a couple of times.. and listened to the recordings afterwards. Kirk makes alot of mistakes! His mistakes comes with his age. In the early days their performance where flawless.

Their ´89 performance in Seattle was fucking awesome. It chills through my spine when watching that concert. Powerful stuff!! Heh Even Lars Ulrich played better back then. Alot better..

The riff itself is pretty easy, but it's hard to count those open notes in between (that's what Kirk was talking about). I think that James is better player than Kirk, but Kirk is great too. I mean, if you just take James's downpicking skills, he ownes not only Kirk, but majority of world greatest guitar players. But I'm sure that Kirk is better than James at some guitar techniques (for example soloing).
