I think that you're missing the major point a bit: For the longest time, all this bribery of capaign contributions has been aimed at the status quo of slowly paying off "bought" congressman. However, now all the bribes to Repubs are worthless practically. So the special interests are rapid-fire bribing a few democrats that are receptive to this sort of thing-like being handed the keys to the kindom. Hell, there's also some blackmail involved, I bet!! Wall street & drug CEOs are desperate.

Where were the Liberadems during the Clinton adminstration? Perhaps the Conservadems are a consequence of real liberals being taking for granted during the 90s to make it possible for Bill Clinton to be indentified with Ronald Reagan.
