This video reminds me of when I'd get to concerts several hours early so I could get a place at the very front to take pictures. That was back in the 70s. Great video. Benoît David is living the dream. I can't imagine how exciting it must be every time he gets to play with Yes. Wow.
Yes, the bass certainly did shake the camera. This was my 8th Yes show and it was by far the loudest that I've been to. I could feel practically every bass note. At previous shows I could only feel the bass pedal notes. I have several other videos of this show including some of Asia's performance. I'm waiting and hoping for a decent audio recording of this show so I can replace the audio on my vids. Then I will upload them.
You can certainly improve the digital quality audio and video. It is not my specialty, but I know it can be done, very probably with free tools. I am thinking you already have tools like this sitting on your hard drive.
Essentially, the process would be same as recording an audio cassette tape - simply turn down the knobs that control the feed in (cannot remember the name of it). Easy.
The audio is the main problem, the video is more advanced, can be done, but is acceptable as is.
Actually I was Section 101 Row I Seat 2...thats 9th row. Rushed the stage for Starship Trooper. I've seen Yes 8 times now, had 2nd row twice. For the other 6 shows I always wanted to rush the stage for the encore and this time I actually did it.
Cont.....I also attended the Meet and Greet after the show and Benoit and Oliver were very gracious, friendly and took alot of time to speak with fans!! Great night --even if the Station Square Amphitheatre really was a bit strange.
Thank You for posting this "memory" !! I attended the Clarkston show then this one in Pittsburgh. I had front row and appreciate having a video to hold onto the memory! As a long time fan( 30+ years), I appreciate Yes touring with whom ever is in the line-up! You can't say that Yes has ever really sucked! Every musician that has played with Yes is pretty damn talented. Gets a bit old to hear people complain about who's in the band. I Love the music and glad they tour!
I drove up from West Virginia to see this show and let me tell you it was awesome! The last time I saw YES was 1977 (32 years ago - I was 18 years old haha.)Going to this show I didn't know what to expect especially without Jon Anderson. Anderson is and will always be the heart and soul of YES, but I gotta say the new vocalist sounded great. What a thrill to see Howe, Squire and the rest. These guys still got it! Don't miss this tour. You will not be disappointed.
You must have been sitting almost next to me! I was in Section 101 seat B 17. I drove from Elyria, Ohio to see the show.Thank you for the great view of Steve playing the solo, I keep trying to learn it.

Why not? It's not YES w/o Jon (it never was) but Steve and Chris want to jam a bit: let them, they've got it.

Shame about the sound quality on this.
I note how the Bass shakes the camera though, noticed that on a few other videos too.
Thanks for posting though.
