@Scottydo113 Not to be a total nerd, but those were the side effects of throwing plasma grenades, in the book they mention how the flood dislike him because the radiation from the grenades messed with his genes, making him immune. All of this was mentioned in one of the books.

In reality (i.e. according to the story of Halo) Johnson couldn't be taken over by the Flood because he had been a test subject of the ORION Project way back in the day (in other words, Johnson was a SPARTAN-I). Even though S-Is had no VISIBLE strength enhancements, their failed augmentations resulted in Boren's Syndrome, a disease that effects the central nervous system, which Johnson recovered from. Apparently tho, the Flood cannot infect anyone with remnants of that disease (like Johnson).

no its not he has this thing that is called boren's syndrom and what i read is that jhonson had goten the flood desiess fro halo ce and he had it through the 2 and 3 games right up untill you kill jhonson first before he gets killed by sparks. go to the halo wiki website.

you know technically Sargent Johnson cannot be infected by the flood as known in the book halo first strike. cell mutations render him unresponsive to the full transformation but he still has traces of flood in his body allowing him to regenerate lost tissue in a shorter amount of time and inhuman like strength. he certainly is not like a spartan however lol.

In reality (i.e. according to the story of Halo) Johnson couldn't be taken over by the Flood because he had been a test subject of the ORION Project way back in the day (in other words, Johnson was a SPARTAN-I). Even though S-Is had no VISIBLE strength enhancements, their failed augmentations resulted in Boren's Syndrome, a disease that effects the central nervous system, which Johnson recovered from. Apparently tho, the Flood cannot infect anyone with remnants of that disease (like Johnson).

@R31lA nobody knows there were 7 halos but #4 was blown up by the chief at least 2 of them had flood containment areas but it is unknown if the other 5 now 4 were capible of housing flood samples

@R31lA Most likely, the Fore runners put them there to stop them from spreading accross the galaxy. Halo, if you didn't all ready know this from halo CE, is a weapon that KILL FUCKING EVERYTHING IN THE UNIVERSE to stop the flood. @R31lA according to the Halo Encyclopedia, Yes, their are Flood samples that were kept on every single Halo ring. However, all the Flood samples were MEANT to remain dormant forever, But on Installation 04 (the ring from Halo 1) the Covenant accidentally awakens them. On Installation 05 (the one from Halo 2) the Flood had been awakened for nearly thirty years because 2401 Penitant Tangent failed to keep the ring's containment facilities in good condition.
