Teen Christian Music - Calvary Church, Irving, Texas

As an Apostolic Pentecostal, may I take the time to point out to you that the Great Commission is to take the word of God to the people; God already knows how great Jesus is, and that He is God's own son. I'm Church of God Pentecostal myself, and I play bass in a praise band. It's hard to reach the masses when they turn a deaf ear to you because you're beating them over the head with a bible. Besides, if you're so sure of your interpretation of the bible, then where do the Psalms fit in?(100:1)?

Sounds More like a concert than anything.......Christian Youth?they're worshiping the music not God ,I'm Apostolic Pentecostal ,We use music that reaches God not the flesh.And we Preach according to his word not just bits and pieces.And we tell it like it is,like in the bible,we don't just tickle your ears with it we make sure it stays with you until one day you'll realize your under the conviction of his presence.

U have to be careful of the church that you attend at. There is alout of fake churches.lol (or fake prophets)

I am not talking about CALVARY CHURCH.

For example: Catholic.......OMG. Help there souls. Last time i whent to one, i nead down like 10 times every time the Pastor or whatever said """HEAVEN"""

language words. Which is really """Latin""".Not Spanish but Latin, a really old and well not known language.

Calvary Church is more "show" and a "store" than an actual Christian Church.

Its Good music, but church is to preach more of the words of god. Not to sign obious things. Im not saying that people the people there are bad, im saying that calvary needs to preach the bible 80% of the time and not the other way around. There old church is more Christian.

I know that we are in the 21th century. ..........................SO.

The fact is they are worshiping! They are sharing the word of God, that is one of the few things he asks us to do. Noe everyone is in to the same thing. whether it be rap, hip hop, rock, classical at least people are getting the word of God out there. What have you done lately?

@bookerz312 I wonder how anyone can come to the conclusion that these young ladies are glorifying themselves. No one truly knows their hearts except God and God alone it is not for us to say if they are giving actual worship or not that is Gods job to do that. Not everyone worships the same and because someone doesn't worship the way you may or someone that doesn't understand why they are doing what they do just shows maybe your from a more low key church and that is ok to.

well,i agree that that can be one way to percieve this,but we were doing this for a fine arts competition,as pastor george metioned.one thing that we did was really seek god &try 2make this not about ourselves because i know musicians do that alot.however we wanted to show that music for god can be fun and exciting. i totally understand if this kinda of christian music is not your thing, but ill bet god smiles on the fact that we had a whole lot of fun doin a crazy latin song for his glory

I loooooooooooooove this church. Every time I go I feel like I'm at a concert. It makes me want to get involved. It has my attention and I don't want to miss a beat or a preaching. I don't know every pastor but Ben Dailey is fun to watch and listen to. For a long time I didn't go to church all b/c I believe those who preach are hipocrites. But, Calvary Church...there's just something different. I feel like its real and it makes me come back for more. Praise the LORD!
