  • 21boxhead is a faggot no life kid that had his parents abandoned and he went for sex change operation at the age of 3 and became a sex prositute for his..i mean her living

    SAD KID INS'T IT?

  • if you overcloak your graphics card you must have good cooling system

  • @Talanov98765 not necessarily

  • Thinking of pairing two GTX 275's, with my i5 750. Anyone know if this would work well?

  • @xReinhartx if you Oc your i5 and if you have a good power supply(at least 700W) then you should be fine

  • @alexadru93 Is overclocking absolutely necessary?

  • @xReinhartx yes try OC-ing to around 3.5 ghz

  • snow paper ah linus...?

  • hmm... any 1 can tell me what about he talking started from 1:45 to 2:17

  • I didn't know you had another channel! :D hahah yay

  • every time I see and hear your name I think of Linux :D

  • Is this the best card for 2010???

  • @Thebondsgames noooo! the ati 5970 is

  • @Geekman257 Thank you very much

  • @Thebondsgames No probs man :P

  • I have a question........A single gtx 275 requires 600W PSU....if we run two of em in sli do we require 1200W of PSU?????????Plzz let me know....

  • @secio007 No no, it doesn't work like that, 600W for everything on in the computer, so at max, 225W more, so like 725W for 2.

  • were the hell did they come up with 896 why not 1gb lol.

  • No idea kind of dumb eh.

  • GTX 275 vs XFX HD5850 Black edition =

  • 275=physics

  • well the HD 5850 Actually beats it on performance.

  • =physics LOL

  • this card may drop to 140 euros when fermi gets released

  • When does the fermi release

  • 26,27 march

  • ah ok :)

  • its only 249 usd right now but the Fermi has yet to be mass produced so wait a little while.

  • And its 50 dollars more.

  • hd 5850 will beat this is a hd 5870 is = to a 295

  • no, hdmi...!?!?

  • I have two gtx275's in SLI and they perform really well together, they scale really well if you look at the benchmarks. I dont know why but I just plain dont like ati, or AMD for that matter (same thing really). they come across as cheap and kinda naff really, thats the general vibe i get anyway. the new 5 series cards do perform very well though! i just cant wait til the gt300 chip is released, hopefully itll blow ati out of the water.

  • Forgot to mention, ATI cards dont support CUDA or Physx =)

A huge step in technology for both developers and interactive gaming.

  • i have two of them and they perform really well

  • Comment removed

  • @gervinpim

Well of course your comparing a old generation to a new one.

Its like saying a Pentium 4 sucks to a C2D it goes without saying.

  • @gervinpim wow your fucking retarded go play on your little bestbuy bought computer

  • @gervinpim your fucking fail go die

  • jeez QQ im justing telling my opinion and i know that twisted, just saying QQers rofl

  • You're wrong, the 5870 is a big failure from ATI. It is not faster than the old GPU solution by nvidia GTX 295 (being outdated now a year old) and 2 GTX 275's beat a GTX 295 =) .

    Did I mention you can get 2 GTX 275's for the price of 1 5870 ? ;)

  • Yeah your right the 5870 is crap.

  • haha me 2 ^.^

  • woohoo i ordered one =]

  • I bought gtx 275 card for gaming, and this 2D and 3D switching is annoying. When i start playing a game, it lags for few mins and then it switches to 3D and it is normal. I hate it

  • dont try to make difference approchs

those things make you more gay

  • and he looks gay

  • confusing? maybe to you it is because your a retarded and have disorganized bullshit on the board

  • these geeks are dumb trying to be smart. can any you geeks know how to master "subnetting" or C++? I bet not

  • @21boxhead, your so cool aren't you? Too bad your not doing reviews for electronics on YouTube, rather sit on your chair and talk big. Linus is the bomb.

  • @DeeArrVoorhees youre...dumbass

  • @SoCalyankeefan, actually you are the dumbass, because 'youre...dumbass' doesn't make sense.

  • @DeeArrVoorhees HOLY SHIT THAT ISN'T A COMPLETE SENTENCE! I DIDN'T SEE THAT ONE! THANKS BRO! btw YOU'RE the dumbass bro

  • @SoCalyankeefan, actually that is a complete sentence, you username being the subject, are being the verb (linking), and dumbass being the object (you). Now, since you've proven you don't know what a complete sentence is comprised of, please shit down, and shut up, for you have again proven that you are a dumbass. It's funny when people try to be all sassy and be completely wrong. You are one funny unsuccessful troll.

  • @DeeArrVoorhees My statement was "youre...dumbass" The username is not part of my statement. Also, I'm not a troll. I just felt I should correct someone who doesn't know the difference between your and you're so you don't make the mistake again. ;)

  • @SoCalyankeefan, so this makes total sense- 'youre...dumbass' (you are dumbass).

  • @DeeArrVoorhees so does "your so cool aren't you?", as if to imply someone can own a "so cool."

  • @SoCalyankeefan, simple spelling mistake twice, forgot to add E to the end. However, accidentally typing 'your' wouldn't imply that one can own a 'so cool', doesn't make sense. Good attempt on sounding smart though.

  • Hi, i have recently buy one of this but i only have a psu of 550w theres some problem with that??

  • no most u should worry about are the amps the psu puts out. 550w should be enough for a mainstream overclocked quad core system.

  • I would go with a 600W+ with about 40 Amps or more just to be safe!

  • @bonfil1 if you have a high end cpu, yoru in trouble, like a processor with a 130 watt tdp, yeh, trouble. you should be fine with anything with 95 watts or less, but as long as its not overclocked, because that uses more watts, duh. however, saying that, your cutting it close, in fact, i think thats the minimum for this card lol. 650 watts would be much better, or more just for stability.

  • Actually i buy a new psu of 600w cooler master and its fine the only trouble now is the O.S im runing in XP but i will move to win 7, thanks to comment, in a few days i will upload a video of how is runing and benchmarcks!

  • These are the best value nvidia cards with performance almost as good as 285 nd much better than the 260. They are better than he 4890 because most games favor nvidia architecture

  • is the fan loud as shit?

  • no.

  • Thanks! : )

  • np ;) its only loud at 100% like most fans but if left on auto u will rarely hear it unless your in a very quiet room with nothing making noise. great card and glad i went with it over 2x9800s

  • great! :)

  • no, and also, don't be a fanboi.

  • Well I bought one GTX 275 this week and it crashes like a son of a bitch. I bought even a big power supply and that didnt even do the job. Im about to send it back.

  • wats best a two Club3D GeForce GTX 275 1792 MB ore a EVGA GeForce GTX 295 1792MB PhysX CUDA

    2xDVI, HDCP, HDMI, EVGA backplate

  • I have Geforce 8600 GT...

does anyone know whats gonna cost me if i get the GTX 275 version?

  • To me Palit Geforce GTX275 cost 205 Euros. I dunno how much dollars it is but its a fair price.

  • Fuck. I order this card and didnt see that I need to buy a new fucking computer screen becouse of the video output.

  • that's because your monitor is ancient dude

  • vga to dvi adapter

  • Um...get a DVI to VGA? And learn a little bit before buying stuff.

  • u know they have adapters right?

  • damn thats a sexy card

  • Linus? What's so queer about Linus?

  • do u guys think 2X EVGA GTX275 SuperClocked Edition SLI is better then a stock GTX295?

  • yes

  • yeh easy. 2 standard 275's would beat a 295.

  • um.. if you hvae the money, and a SLI board, just get one GTX 285 and save up, and get another one later on..

  • You can run two of these on a good 650W, but I reccomend something like a Corsair TX750.

  • they would hardly use 600 watt never mind 650 watt. thats more than enough.

  • Indeed! People claim them to be powerthirsty but my single GTX 275 (OC'd) runs with no problems on a 550W Cooler Master, it's a flexible card.

  • I just got this card today. i put it in my new system and everything powers up. the only thing that is wrong is that there is no display and the fan on the card is not running. does anyone know what is wrong?

  • anyone find it weird that I can run SLi 275s(2) with a 650W PSU?

  • its not weird because an GTX 275 in SLI needs around 4X0 watt to run with an core2 quad cpu (even over clocked). So even a good 5X0 Watt PSU would be able to run on a system like yours.

  • nope.

  • Now read this: You asked if we foundit weired you could run SLI 275 with a 650W psu, I said 'nope' because it isn't. Each GTX275 requires 220W (I think?) That's 440W. Then plus that with your cpu etc. a 650W psu should be able to handle that. That's not strange at all. And btw. Stop calling people idiots, there is no reason for that :)

750W and 60A is not minium, but nvidia won't promise it works on anything less. It's there insurance so people wont whine if they can't run it on a 650w or less.

  • Yes that's with a high-end mobo, a 140W processor, 4 500GB hard drives in raid0, 3DVD drives, a liquid cooling system, and about 5 20W fans. So yeah don't tell me that's normal

  • lol nice ending, does it come with a DVI to HDMI adaptor thingo?

  • also how much is this card in GBP

  • will this card work on an alienware aurora , can someone plz help me , i dont know the specs needed .

  • I'm sure glad he had that whiteboard, improved the video ten fold. Maybe in the next video the writing will be visible!

  • haha to think hes in computer tech??

  • its RED ! lmao . must b gay

  • so is the rating of your comment... doesn't look good for you =)

  • try in HD :)

  • Looks better, thanks Linus!

  • You still "didn't mention" SPDIF connector on the card. LOL!

  • the card is so loud !

  • LOLLOLOLOLOLOLOL i have the fan at 100% right now and the loudest it gets sounds like someone humming 40 feet away.

  • 2:46 ROFL

  • Can i have 3 monitors with this card ? Or a card that has like 2DVI and 1HDMI ?

  • you just nedd to get the triple head adaptor

  • this guy reminds me of the shamwow guy... i think its cos of how he talks. he sounds like he's trying to sell u the product, rather than review it.

  • you following me camera guy!

  • holy crap thats huge, iv never accualy seen any of the newest graphics card..

  • lolololol it's not huge, people have just lost their perception on the take of what huge means

  • EVGA produces worlds best display cards!

  • meh their site is all canadian

  • "Your're watching NCIX TechTips"?

    I'm'm pretty sure i am...

  • i cant see whats the writing on the whiteboard

  • same

  • Really, i didnt see the comparison in other videos. This is unique man. I wouldnt preffer 295 though. Id rather pay a bit more to get two separate cards with higher clocks. Also would think about OCed versions. Wouldnt you? Sandwich 295 is BS with cooling so with overclocking also. Single PCB is IDK? Good? Anyways produces more heat than single gpu card.

  • nvidia is confusing everybody and thats really annoying me.

  • Good explanation.

  • Hi i was wondering if some one could please get back to me on this. okay i want to get this card for my computer but i don't know if my computer can even handle it. Here are my specs: 2gb ram, nvidia geforce 8800GT, and a 2.4gb Intel E2220 dual core. thanks in advance

  • what is your

    Case

    POwer supply and

    motherboard?

    then i can tell you.

but IMO get a gtx260/gts250 and it will better suit your system

  • My power supply is only 200 watts which I'm upgrading to 680 watts. i am also upgrading my case to a Antec nine hundred. my mother board is a Intel 945GCT-M3 which is not amazing in anyway.

  • i wonder how the gtx 275 comapres to the 280

  • is about 5-10% weaker

  • its like comparing a 4770 to a 4850

  • 2:38 and on ROCKS lol

  • thanks dude

  • wtf is cuda?!?! i no its a driver type softwear thingy but wat does it do?

  • GTX275!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • SO WHICH IS BETTER FOR NON-BIASED GAMES? 4890 or 275?

  • 4890. Barely.

    GTX 285 and 4890 tie.

  • my ass, nvidia beats ati in almost every game, only loser games use ati better.

Gtx 275 < 4890, but the gtx 275 will do better because the way its made. ati cards are made with more stream processors and memory, but the architexture isnt as good as nvidia

  • stfu fanboy

  • yea? well fuck you

  • I LOVE ATI/AMD but the 4890...with incredible overclocking and mostly aftermarket cooling can barely match the 285. Its not really a safe match cause you spend 5 mins with the 285 overclocking and the 4890 has no hope to even come close. Its just a stupid comparison done by hardcore fanboys. Just facts...

  • obvi suly gtx 275

  • I don't pay attention to assholes that don't have proper grammar.

  • biased? the gtx 275. non biased an hd 4890 and overclock it to about 0.95-1ghz.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • Sure it can oc. But the oc won't scale as well as the 4890 so in the end you'll be better off ocing a 4890 than a 275

  • Comment removed

  • think before you answer because what i said is true, actually it was such a weird think they wrote whole articles about it. They overclocked the memory, shaders and core seperately and mixed them in all ways. The conclusion. a 10% overclock results in a 2-5% increase in framerate whereas in the same kind of article a 10% overclock gave a 5-10% increase in framerate. And don't call me a fanboi, i have nvidia cards myself and always will. The 275 oced isn't as good as i hoped, unlike the gtx 285

  • The GTX 275 and 285 both use the same GPU, the overclocking potential of these two cards is identical. They both have the same amount of stream processors too, the only difference asside from factory clock speed is 4 fewer ROPs and a slightly reduced memory bus width, which with modern cards means next to nothing for performance. If you throw 285 clocks on a 275, your performance will be within 1 or 2 frames at anything up to 1680x1050... and it will be stable because its the exact same GPU.

  • the memory makes a difference when it comes to anti aliasing, other than that they are almost indentical in performance

  • Very true, it can also help at higher resolutions too, but both depend a lot on driver optimization and application. The increase from 896 to 1GB makes sense, but I find some of these single GPU cards with 2GB of memory a bit ridiculous, especially considering how much bandwidth PCI-E 2.0 provides.

  • so you would recommend someone to buy a GTX275 over the GTX 285 is their on a tighter budget?

  • Well if we are talking strictly stock clock speeds, on average you get somewhere around a 10% FPS increase going from a vanilla 275 to a vanilla 285. Right now they are going for around $249 and $349 respectively, so essentially you are paying 40% more for a 10% gain in performance.

    So in short, absolutely.

Other than your video card, what are you specs? Resolution etc.?

  • i7 920 Stock

6gb DDR3 RAM(trying to get the lacecies faster)

    Stock GTX 275

1920 x (1680..not sure about this one cause my rig is currently out of commission)

    anything else?

  • It's probably 1920x1200, and at that res you really could go both ways. If it's a new build I would buy the best thing you can afford, even if its not necessarily a good financial decision, but if you are replacing an existing card and just trying to make it another year or two, the 275 is a great value.

  • crap then i guess i'm screwed lol. I built a new i7 a few weeks ago and got the GTX 275...the 285 was 2 high out of my budget..oh well

  • It's still a good card, you should be able to max most everything. I just bought the superclocked 275 for $255 on newegg Friday, its up to 330 now :).

  • It's still 255 with the World at War deal. You're looking at the wrong one because I just bought 2 today.

  • Yeah I was mistaken, think I was looking at 1792MB version. Anyway I get mine on Wednesday, can't wait!

I am currently on an EVGA 8800GTS 640MB, its been a great card but the 275 is going to almost triple my frame rates!

  • Can't believe that card was release about 2 years ago lol. I have one sitting in my room somewhere. 8800GTS has done me some good. Right now I'm running 2 GTX 275's superclocked edition and overclocked at the same speed as the GTX 275 FTW edition. Pretty fast for some decent priced cards.

  • Yeah, my mobo is ancient, its an old P5B Deluxe with PCIE 1.1... just trying to get the last bit of use out of my computer before I build another from scratch.

  • I didn't buy them at newegg sadly, but I already have World at War which I do not play anymore lol.

  • dont worry about it. GTX 275 is a good buy. just get a second GTX 275 later on when u can afford it. tahts still cheaper than two GTX 285 (only a little more expensive than 1 GTX 285) and it will be ALL the power u'll ever need until GTX 380

  • more like, all the power you will need till crysis 8 comes out lol

  • all the benchmarks show something else, so i don't buy your b/s

  • What benchmarks are you talking about? The only benches I have found on overclocked versions of the cards compare them with other versions of the same card, not against each other. If you know of a benchmark that does, I would love to see it.

The highest clocked retail version of any 285 using air cooling is the EVGA GTX 285 FTW edition which is clocked at 702MHz, compare that with the 713MHZ of the EVGA GTX 275 FTW edition, do I need to explain what higher core clocks mean?

  • you still beleive in the megahertz myth too, don't you?

  • lol, possibly the worst thought through comeback I have seen.

  • lol thanks for the entire conversation clarification. i guess i will just wait for abit then get the second card

  • i wouldnt want to use that card as phys x , , i cant even afford it

  • looooooooool
