Hi. Thanks for the video, but after i finished all the steps, my ringtone's vanished. I changed 4,5 and 6 and after i changed it, the tones are gone. I rebooted my iphone but it still can work. I also put back the original files and try to see if it works, but it don't work. I set the ringtone as my sms tone, i got someone to sms me, and it didn't have a sound. Can you solve my problem please and thanks

i have followed processed like these to a T - but still does not work - i have replaced tones 2,3,4 and 6 - 3,4 and 6 are still the same, and i get no sound at all for tone 2. I am using a jailbreaked iphone 3GS. Any ideas?

My message tone that i want doesnt have a file in the name. If i look at the file name in properties it says it is a .aiff file, but adding .caf to the end doesn't have any effect on it. I don't get the pop up saying the file might not work anymore. I can't figure out how to change the file name in the properties either.

Also, when I put it onto the phone it goes in as "sms-received2.caf.aiff" i've deleted the .aiff and the symbol on the left changes but nothing happens.

Help please?

@higuy210 Jo cool biatch finally found the solution if you're still interested, so you have a windows pc he? the problem with windows is that it automatically hides the .wmv or .caf or whatever of files, if you want to see those extensions you have to go to computer-> organise -> folder search options or something like that-> view-> and THEN Untick the fucked up box that says: hide extensions and then we can manually change the extensions:) You're welcome.

@BeachAngel15 I have updated the link inside the video , if you are talking about once you get it 1 cyberduck is for mac and winscp for windows make sure you are putting in your right ip as host

make sure that you are enableing it thru ssh on your phone thry toggle or make sure if your useing sb settings that you have it enabled if problem still happens then reset up your host and root sry took a while to answer working on page a lot

Works perfect,

although I would suggest you backup all the original audio to your computer, in case you sell or have to send out your Iphone. As far as I know a factory restore could would not replace the files.

man i've tried ur method but it still didnt work...i've double checked the renaming of the file. i've used ifunbox to copy the created file. its length is 15 sec thought i've tried 7sec file and it yet didnt work. i've renamed it sms-received6.caf and when i checked the ph glass went silent...can u help?

ok the only other thing i can think of it doing that is that your not either making the aiff file right or your not putting it in the right folder on winscp

am sure i've got the location right since glass went silent. note after i renamed it it didnt ask me if am sure as ur pc did. and the file properties indicated its a AIFF file...i guess the problem is that my pc didnt change the file properties just its name

If that doesnet work make sure you dont have hidden achrives box checked in control panel then go to folder opions and view and thier is a box that says hidden make sure it isnt checked

mmm no actually i didnt get it cz in the first place i didnt delete it from the itunes i've draged it to the desktop...and i've tried renaming it .caf but an error poped up telling me to specify a name...and whn try renaming it to sms-received1.vaf it includes .caf to the name and doesnt do anything to the file type...

ok man i did some research and got it to work..i had a problem since my pc was hitted by a virus my folder options was removed...anyways there is one thing i've created sms ringtone that is 2 sec long(its excuse me boss u have a text message) but its not working at all others are...any ideas?

make sure your spelling it right sms-recieved1 and make sure it ends with .caf
