  • at the moment my mk2 escort is getting totally re done...its getting zetec 2.0 with throttle bodies electric ignition and lots more...lads,hopefully i will have it done by the new year car run and show.. go on to my profile to see what it was like before and when its done...vid not up yet but will be by new year....cheers

  • they should be angled so there is no bend in inlet tracts, so they would be angled at about 30 degrees.

  • wow why the fuck would you waste your money on a shitty ford fiesta?

i love my fords but fiesta were the worst car ford ever designed an built

the enignes were like little vacuum cleaners

  • nice set up im looking to do something simular and was wondering what kindabhp i could expect with a simular set up , basically i wonna achive 170 bhp n/a. cheers

  • can be achieved with some cams and throttle bodys

  • sounds the bolox, but my mk1 xr2 on twin 40 webers sounded better. especially when i advanced the cam timing a bit more. i scared a dog once :D

the thing about the fiesta is the trumpets sit about an inch or less from the bulkhead! i took my inlet manifold off, and had it machined at an angle each end to make the carbs point up a little bit. really helped in the top end.

  • they both shit hot

  • the weber alpha tb and ecu is best kit around, been in many 7 type cars with them.sooo fast, cheap way to get so much power :D. chears 4 the vid.

  • i prefer the sound of cabs i think? sounds/looks like the throttle response is quiccker with carbs too, obviously the throttle bodies are better/more efficient, but hey...

  • I do prefer the sound off the carbs, but the throttle responce off the TB's is just as quick as carbs as it's a cable throttle setup.

  • @ecosse4ever would have thought the response with throttles would be alot better than carbs twin 40's always seem to drag abit at low rpm

  • hi dude, i am interested in that throttle body design, it is totally custom? because i am working on my self made EFI and i'm wondering if the mechanism of fuel delivery is controled by a throttle position sensor, it will be a lot of help if you could answer thx.

  • Hi mate, no, these are Weber Alpha throttle bodies. The fuel injection works off a combination of throttle position sensor and crank sensor (to get the actual engine speed).

  • cool man, thats what i needed :D

  • oh man i got another question. what ECU are you using. thx alot.

  • I'm using the Weber Alpha ECU & loom designed for the kit. You should look at OMEX or Megasquirt, Megasquirt will probably be the cheaper option for you, plus there is lots of websites dedicated to Megasquirt with lots of base maps available for all engines :)

  • Sounds nearly exactly the same as my dads Seven with a CVH engine on Webers. Juicy though Webers.

  • I wish I had those :(

but it sounds like it's running on 3 cilinders??

  • i tell you what a john deer on tb's is insane, i can mow my lawn no matter how thick it grows.

  • Sounds like my lawnmower :P

  • Must have a bloody quick lawnmower then!

  • Bloody good cars mk2 fiestas, mk1 r good to.

About time someone did this conversion, massive power from throttle body injection kits in a mk2!! excellent!

  • awesome mate
