  • One of my biggest heroes!...His chops were just fantastic...he had style, looked so confident behind the kit, great showman, very tight groovin',awesome fills...a legend, rock in peace, mick!.

  • Anybody has any better quality videos of Mick or maybe the whole gig of this particular performance?

    Thanks!

  • ONE OF THE MOST UNDERATED ALL TIME DRUMMERS, ALTHOUGH ONE OF THE MOST RECOGNIZED DRUMMERS FOR ONE DRUM INTRO: THE BALLROOM BLITZ! NEAR TO THE GREATEST 60'S (OF 70'S FAME) LIKE CARL PALMER & IAN PAICE! GREAT MUSICIAN, COOL GUY, SHOWMAN & VERSALITE JAZZY DRUMMER!

  • RIP Mick. The most underrated drummer ever.

  • Cozy..ok ..but i think Mick where there right beside of him..have a good time Mick..see ya*

  • Geil....vom feinsten

  • I fell in love with Mick's style of playing at the age of 10, when playing "Set me free" for the 1st time, from "Sweet fanny adams" Still my favourite album of all time, and I think 1st LP I ever bought. I had the privilege of seeing him play 3 times, wish I could have seen him in the early years, but was too young. I'll never get fed up with listening and watching recordings of him playing with the other guys in Sweet. He'll always be the greatest.

  • IMHO Mick Tucker, Carl Palmer and Neal Peart pretty much set the standard for rock drumming for the following 30 years. I think any drummer worth his salt today who doesn't acknowledge Mick as one of of the most musical (think Bill Ward also) drummers is missing out on some really vital influences the likes of which Mick Tucker would provide. Mick was a total MONSTER!!!

  • Apologies if this has been posted before but "back in the day", you know when real music was made/played by real musicians, I watched Mick's drum solo and was both wowed and humored BECAUSE behind him on a big screen was a video of a giant banana peeling while The Stripper Song (?)played w/ a 5-4-3-2-1 countdown and BAM he exploded and the crowd went ape . THEN he played live to a pre-recorded video of himself , a' la dueling drummers. Truly groundbreaking and original. I love them still.

  • Mick is a FANTASTIC drummer. I am so sad that he is gone. R.I.P Mick, your fan always xxx

  • Mick was the best! I had the pleasure of hanging out with him a few times, not just an amzing musician but a down to earth great guy..It sucks that we will never be abale to see Mick, Brian, Andy and Steve together again....

  • One of the best drummers ever , period !

  • This goes to the short-minded who consider the SWEET just a silly bubble-gum outfit... even nowadays! Please, listen to the mighty bass lines of Mr. Priest and to not-so-far-from-Blackmore riffs and solos of Mr. Scott!

  • and i thought john bonham was the best rock drummer

  • @shaftsbury94 john bonham might have been in the top 20 or so, that's about as good as he was

  • Got laughed at when I was at school for saying this bloke was a proper drummer.... I rest my case

  • yeah i was yhe same they laughed at school when i said he was one of the best drummers around, he was the best RIP mick tucker we love ya.

  • My Dad did exactly the same! Dammit Mick, why aren't you here now?! :C

  • RIP Mick and Brian

  • how does he twirl the drumsticks like that. i wanna learn!

  • I was fortunate to have the honour of working with Mick and Andy as drum tech and driver some years back and Mick was a sweet, tallented, intelligent man and could play this drum solo with his hands tapping on a counter in a bar........unbelievable! I played that very kit , what a proveledge. I miss those times and consider Mick to be an very big influence as a drummer and a showman.

  • damit.... he aint the best.... he isnt close to the best.... he is the best of the best of the best! he is Flipen CrAZZZY! along with yan pace, he was the best drammer ever to live. btw, he is the first drummer to use a double base!!!!

  • Ummm, no sir. Look up Louie Bellson.

  • Definitely a way way underrated drummer. It's fine and great and whatnot to play fast etc etc and many drummers do but to do it with *feel* and *swing* is a completely different game. This guy had that feeling, power, speed, groove - just a great player. Bless his soul.

  • Mick's always been number 1 to me .

  • WE ALL KNOW HE WAS ONE OF THE BEST.

  • Mick makes Ulrich look like a slug!! He is level with Bonham and Moon. If you don't think these make the top 5 of the world, well... Fuck off

  • Oh my god, Mick Tucker is amazing!!!!

  • Rock on, Mick. : ) R.I.P.

  • A huge influence, R.I.P.................

  • EXCELLENT !! ....... Give it the stick, Mick !!

  • In every great band, there's a super drummer!!! IMO Mick Tucker is one exceptional drummer, up there with the best of them!!!

  • fantastic

  • Listen to singles like "Turn it down", "The sixteens", "Action" etc mick's fills are incredable.

  • I actually took a momment of silence Febuary 14th. Then I listened to The Sweet and played on my drum kit for a while.

  • Yeah he was definately amazing. The only other drummer i can think of that comes even remotely close is Tommy Lee, but he always looks angry while he's playing. Mick Tucker has fun playing, you can tell.

  • it takes an unbelievable amount of talent to be a great drummer AND make everything you do look easy, and Mick Tucker had it.

  • thank u for your comment mick was excellent on drums ive not yet heard anyone better may he rest in peace.

  • he was immence

  • Untopable! He was one oft the best drummers on this planet! I hope there's a Drumkit for you up there, Mick! xXx : Karsten / Cap K ~

  • "Top 10 drummer this country has ever produced"

Good god, which country are you talking about? Mick Tucker is from Mongolia?

I suggest you broaden your horizons a bit.

  • A Top 10 drummer this country has ever produced, No1 in my book, sensational, a rock god and a rock legend.

  • micks kit was ludwig.

  • mick was so under rated ledgend

  • Does anyone out there Know what make of kit Mick used?

  • his drum kit was ludwig im sure.

  • In the early 70's Mick used a Hayman kit. Easy to spot the difference as Hayman kits had round nutboxes which look like the DW kits used nowdays.

  • yeah again,AMAZING he was FANTASTIC. I went to his grave twice all the way from ayrshire scotland i cried and may god bless him.

  • Best drum solo I ever saw. We miss you Mick.

  • Mick Tucker was very talented, one of the best drummers ever.

He should still have played with Sweet if hadn't gotten leukaemia.

    Very friendly and nice person.

  • he was a fantastic player mick rip u will never b forgotten.

  • amazing mick was one of the best so sad he passed away too soon rip mick u will never b forgotten.

  • Mick is the Legend! So is the original band and music from 70's.
