@TokkasAngels yeah, I know what you mean - once I stumbled over the page and its riches I really couldn't stop reading for the first months - but by now I got over pretty much most of its articles (at least those who appeared to intereset me) and by now I only get over there either when I'm bored - or in like the last days - to take use of the articles meanings for my own projects.

Especially my next big one might hit many of said tropes over there - what a fortune I must admit...

Ähm.... "ängstlich" means in german "frightened" and I don't think the original version has been scared. ^^"

The word(s) you were looking for is/are "gruselig" or "unheimlich". They mean the same, pick the one you like the most. :)

I know, german isn't the easiest language in the world, but that was perfect grammar.

The "are you ready ?" part is translated in german "kein zuruck mehr" which means "(there's) no turning back"

The guy voicing Facilier actually has a really good voice for the role. He doesn't really sound black, but his voice still sounds cool and untrustworthy at the same time (which it should for Facilier).

Thanks for posting this up. I speak English as a first language but I learned German in high school, so I love listening to German versions and trying to compare it and translate it. So the fact that you did post this up makes me very happy. :>

Der Film war wieder mal ein gutes, klassischer Disney-Song und mal wieder mit einem sehr, sehr guten Song des Bösewichts. Die Deutsche Version ist eigentlich auch ganz gut gelungen, die Übersetzung hapert halt ein wenig, aber so ists eigentlich immer ; )

Uff...ich mag die deutsche Stimme an sich, aber...die Übersetzungen sind ein wenig schade geworden, viele Dinge reimen sich nicht und wirken wenig emotionsvoll, im Gegensatz zur englischen Synchronisation.

Finde ich zumindest, vielleicht habe ich das englische auch zu oft gehört xD

Es ist aber auch sehr schwer das Englische wirklich gut ins Deutsche zu übersetzen. Denn du musst ja noch bedenken das das alles melodisch passen muss, dann soll es sich reimen...also ne? XD is schwer...

Ich hab die englische Version jetzt erst anderthalb Mal gehört und stimm' dir vollkommen zu. xD Aber ich habe sowieso an vielen deutschen Übersetzungen was auszusetzen - aber hier lag's weniger am Können der Übersetzer, und mehr am Versmaß/der Melodie und den Reimen, in die alles eingebunden werden muss.
