Great game, my best lap is 1:04.2 in the Ferrari (thats actually the faster car through the bends!) Also the sound works alright in Dosbox 0.72.

Actually it is not.. yes for top speed, but the Ferrari has a higher cornering speed and better brakes; its a lot faster than the Mclaren on most tracks!

I think there are CGA and EGA modes - this is EGA in video, and CGA has a lot of cyan and magenta?

@Froggie666 There are versions for CGA, EGA, MGA and Hercules. As a kid I only had the CGA one, but when my uncle left the country he gave me a HUGE load of disks, one of which was the full version of this with all graphics versions available.

This video is taken from the PC version in EGA mode. Back in the 80's and 90's the PCs had a variety of graphics cards each with different capabilities at various prices. Since I have not space to explain, check Wikipedia for Hercules, CGA, EGA, VGA. The player required some hardware knowledge to play the games, as he had to chose the best possible graphics mode (eg EGA for this game) and audio (eg AdLib). The "bad" version is CGA (only four colors black, magent, cyan, white). This is EGA.
