  • What's wrong with all the stupid people here. How can you say that this guy isn't strong? You can't tell if someone really is strong by his looks only. I know a lot of arrogant people who think they are godlike, but no they're not. Some people look strong but are realy weak.

  • LOL go criticise the man to his face haters.

  • this guys got good video

  • Insightful video with an example of ignoring everything he just said right at the very end...

  • i have those gloves from japann

  • much respect

  • Great videos, man.

  • That shirt has a hole where your armpit is! I just had to say it

  • @XRanderXxx WOW!

  • HAHA he ripped his shirt. 0:25

  • @bloodshotz9995 hes workng out y would u wear good close and get that ruined?

  • @bloodshotz9995 No, it was already ripped. You can see that in 0:19.

  • man.. huge muscles don't impress me much.. but anyone with huge muscular calves.. will always have my respect..

  • Jabbing is different. Its a lunging in type punch instead of so much teisting. The technique for throwing a jab is similar to the shuffling move of a fencer.

  • ummm but i dont smoke

  • Thanks bro!

  • i got alot 2 learn

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, now I can put my punches to better use and conserve energy. Thanks for the tip mate.

  • Justine Fortune is this guy's name and he was a former heavy weight title contender and challenged Lenox Lewis for his belt. In addition, he was the strength conditioning coach for Manny Pacquiao until him and Freddie Roach had a falling out.

  • @skim1983 well said. He was Freddie's Apprentice and during this career was trained by Freddie and the Great ozzy trainer Johnny Lewis

  • The size of them arms! He's doing something right, so this is good advice haha!

  • foundation guys foundation..

  • yay i do that!

  • I have short to average reach, pivot helped, thanks for video, I was looking for how to get power.

  • I wish he was my dad

  • that was helpful..Thanks

  • also when jabbing do u pivot?

  • @frompovertytoroyalty Yes. It will even give you a little more reach for the jab.

  • hey I noticed that if I just punch with my arms I'm fast, but when I punch and piviot im a little slow, does that mean I have to work my legs out like do squats, so that I can punch fast while pivoting?

  • @frompovertytoroyalty yep, squats and calf exercises will help.

  • I could see him in an irish bar knocking people out left and right. Nice stuff

  • Best way to get better in boxing is to ENJOY it! Right?

  • hips don't lie

  • It's all in the hips

  • I was like where the fuck as I seen this guy and then I was like oh yeah ESNEWs.lol

  • thanks dude

  • Wear and tear on the shirt is the reason I don't wear shirts while punching the bags.

  • I bet most of you viewers came here because your about to fight someone LMAO!!

  • @TheMustWatchShow nahhhh im left hand and i try to find out why noone can beat me!

  • @sugamwtoxristo because southpaws are dangerous. if your left handed, and you can fight; you have a gift. Dont blow it tryna look cool either.

  • @Driv3r14 if you have children do not make them left hands this is curse i lose my friends and now im alone inside a room and i still thinking

  • @sugamwtoxristo i've beaten a few left handed people before its a little bit easier for me. the side you are usually facing is where my power hand hook is, so i always side step and hook most of the time and i catch em one after the other. left handeds are said to be harder to fight but i haven't found one as good as your comment says you are

  • @xxdrextonxx it depends more on footwork really, I am a Southpaw and I often beat right handed opponents to the punch, with my lead hook, but it is usually because I step to the outside of their lead foot, thus allowing me the better safer angle, if they look to counter whit the the hook I jab out and counter with a cross or left overhand depending on their height and range. But every fighter is different, I hate fighting other lefties because they know and see the same angles I do...

  • @Nativedizzle well i can definitely see some of "lefty" angles i guess. but if you were to step out towards my lead foot, i would've just step away for a second and if you kept doing it then it would be inevitable for me to counter you. i would just jab you with my lead hand very quickly and step to where im facing you again. it all depends whether your fast or not, because everywhere "speed kills" once you have speed you could beat everyone just it would take a while.

  • @xxdrextonxx I don't know if I would call it inevitable that you would counter me, at least not necessarily landing it. It depends a lot on rhythm and timing so I don't doubt that you would look to counter but I have other angles to work with and more footwork then just getting to the outside, and yes speed plays a big part. like I said it is different fighter to fighter, I always try to read how my opponent moves in the ring, we should spar some time man, if you here in southern Cali!

  • @Nativedizzle im in long beach man. im hoping to get into the ufc since its the biggest series of mma fighting. if you are trying to get there too then i very much look forward to sparring with you or actually fight for the belt with you, it would be an honor man. hope we meet in the future in ufc if your trying to get in.

  • @Drenton Kool man I am in Long Beach from time to time, as far as UFC goes for me I am still not sure if that is the avenue I want to peruse, I like sparring MMA but my ground game is not where I would feel comfortable competing at that level quite yet, I am still more the local level as far as how I feel about my ground work, But I am always down to spar man, and I am not ruling out UFC my buddy just fought in Bellator actually though he lost! :( So let me know if you ever want to get together

  • @Nativedizzle alright ill be sure whenever i have any spare time to see if we can get together sometimes and spar in mma, or ground game or something. im actually in my 2nd week on the wrestling team to work on my ground game for ufc. but yeah man whenever i can ill be sure to see if we can spar sometime and whatnot.

  • @xxdrextonxx Yeah man my schedule is packed right now too, as I am working, back in school to finish my degree, training in FMA, and preping for a Boxing tournoment in Feb. But likewise I am always down to spar, hope we can get into the ring sometime!

  • @Nativedizzle yeah man i hope fate can give us the time too, if not then after i get out of school and really start to pursue my ufc career in any way that i can then ill really try hard to spar with you, but yeah man i undersand im packed too, with school, wrestling practice for about 2-4hours and my individual workouts.

  • @TheMustWatchShow nah im a Boxer trying to find new ways of improving

  • According to the comments, most of you were not paying attention to the technique. Most of you were paying attention to the clothing and gloves, you know, like a woman would. Great video!!

  • @ivaivanx3 lol very well said

  • @ivaivanx3 "to the haters of" look at his punch. see how far the bag moved? guys he would destroy you in a fight.

  • @deathbunny45 Look at his beer belly?! He wouldnt destory a fly!!!!!!!

  • @burt2245 he use to be a pro boxer so i'm sure his stamina is a lot better then yours is LOL and i'm sure he can do it longer but he was just demonstrating briefly.. and the guy is older now and doesn't box anymore so he put on a little weight probably

  • @deathbunny45 guy has no stamina.

  • @burt2245 How can you tell if he has no stamina? Just because he has a "beer belly"? That happens when people start to grow old, but it doesn't mean they "have no stamina".

  • thumbs up for the hole in his shirt

  • Pulling out a cigarette? That is a bad example for a boxer. :P

  • what about ribs, I mean turnning half of the body, including ribs to creat a stronger punch.

  • I hate this gay gloves... "balloons"

  • u cannot learn power

  • @ekultus what u can learn and always improve on is technique which will improve anyone's punching power. that's all Justin's trying to demonstrate.

  • Most of you should learn to respect the trainers and their experience.

  • @Muncitaur Good comment man i do agree!

  • @Muncitaur You should do that but i hate when the trainers do nothing but brag

  • @Muncitaur tell dem what time is it. folks just behind there computer screen thinkin they all that but wait til you get in the ring. most likely not.

  • @VoodooUprising i hear you man. ate isn't this jason "mayhem" milller's coach/trainer/workout partner or something

  • @Muncitaur you have so right in that many ppl forgets that.

4 me teachers and ppl who learns out things are the best think to have gotten so good that you can learn other ppl what you can 4 me they are like a hero to me

  • Justin Fortune

  • 0:19

Look at his armpit , He really needs a new shirt !

  • can someone help me? i love boxing and i practice shadow boxing alot but my wrists are a little slim or thin, is that a problem? Am i in risk of broking a wrist if i keep punching bags or something?

  • @Ruivolution only if you make straight on contact hard enough

  • @Dumais1020 Thank you for the info.So straight punches are most dangerous to my wrists but hooks and uppercuts are ok?

  • @Ruivolution yeah. tape your hands and wrists and make your hooks and jabs somewhat curved

  • @Dumais1020 oh nice, thanks alot ill do it

  • @Ruivolution very unlikely, but you should wear wraps even when you're just hitting a bag

  • @Ruivolution no, you're ok bro.. it would be nice if you get to see a doctor though, but on my personal experience you're fine, just make sure you never train without using the proper equipment such as bandages, as long as it doesnt hurt TOO MUCH the next day you're completely fine.

  • @plastiko1291 Thank you very much ill make sure to use the right equipment thanks 4 your helpful opinion!

  • dude your t shirt is riped

  • this is actually a good video, the punching power is generated from the hips and obleaqses (spelled that horribly), not just the arm.

  • So where the punching power?

  • thanks ima kik crap outa this guy in ma school

  • @zainuintel lmao XD

  • @dmp220 i did though. :D

  • @rosecamden

Remember when people weren't lazy bastards and used to actually type out full words?

  • @opmike343 haha k

  • i can pivot good but i have trouble turning my hips in to the punch

  • @codeman95291 Sometimes a little more weight on the ball of your foot will help.Buddy of mine had that work but you got to play with it to make sure your not standing too long

  • @Fearofdead ok thanks

  • this guys pivots wrong he lifts his foot of the ground if ya do that the power is weaker keeping stance will give your 2x the power

  • @IsaacRockYo12 When throwing a right you place your weight on your left foot, lifting your right foot a little shouldn't make power go down to much, especially if he has perfect technique. He's a professional heavyweight boxer btw - Justin Fortune.

  • Lol Trinity should give u a shirt that is not ripped before makin Vid

  • that will not help your punchin power at all, power come from your legs!

  • @Raethep4pking its the somatic chain. a body needs to be conditioned to recruit the legs hips and back for 1-hit knockout power.

  • @phaedruslive yeah i didnt hear the pivit but it mostly come from legs, if you get a cable and lift yourself of the ground and try to punch, your punch wont have much effect

  • he talks life freddie roach

  • actually a great video for expert villiage

  • @MichaelMeeusen just shut the fuck up and listen to this man maybe u didnt know this guy Justine Fortune fought world champion Lennox Lewis if theres someone who knows boxing thats him and not u

  • why are u using regular boxing gloves on a bag? they are not made for that. use bag gloves!

  • @MichaelMeeusen actually 16oz are for bag and sparring. dumbshit

  • @abbey356 srry to bother you but isnt pivoting only good for training your strength cause in a fight it might be a bit to slow to hit your opponent, is it good if you try to punch a person without it making you puch more rapidly?

  • that dudes legs, wow

  • hey im a new boxer, i dont really have a gym around me, but i rlly wanna get into boxing, i have almost all the basic gear i need any tips or anything that u can give me? best bags and speed bags and stuff???

  • your shirt is torn =]

but i like your vid, very clear. will take boxing class this summer. thanks

  • @rosecamden

    Nah they were always around

  • You forgot something, you need to throw out your right shoulder and twist your foot

  • @ayman1006 ummm didnt he just say that...ya jnow the oivot part n he oretty much showed the motion of the shoulder thing

  • why does he have thai-boxing gloves?

  • @MrX5tech just normal arent they?

  • @MrX5tech Thai don't use gloves, they use bare hands, knees and those bloody elbows O.o;

  • @ChaiSuBin lol, its twins xD got messed up bcs my friend bought new gloves from tailand which look same

  • @ChaiSuBin no. they use gloves. you confuse muay thai with muay boran. and even in muay boran they dont use bare knuckles. instead, they wrap their hands with rope, stick glue all over it and dip it in glass or sharp shells. now THATS brutal.

  • you can tell he wanted to seriously unload on that bag after he landed that shot

  • he got a venom

  • oud nieuws

  • lol his pits have ripped lol

  • @Fifa0Gone0Wild its because you touch yourself at night

  • @TheAjones91 yeh i do. a would be worried if a didn't wank do you not a feel for ya lad

  • @Fifa0Gone0Wild accidental armpit flex, happens to me once in a while.

  • @Fifa0Gone0Wild don't matter foo, its called work out clothes, this ain't no fashion show.

  • @Fifa0Gone0Wild it means that he actually does boxing in that shirt !

  • the only thing thats ripped on him is hese t shirt

  • How would this work with a wider thai boxing stance?

  • Simple explanation with great information.

  • Great video! This guy gives the best advice!

  • He has a hole on his armpit

  • @SuperClintEastwood thing is... youtube WAS free when there were no major corps. on here, been a member since 06 and i do remember all those times and i wish they were back.... besides, WHAT are they paying for, youtube was free for about 4ish years with NO ads on or before the videos, there were ads beside but only after about 2007... so i hate to do this, but i really dont agree with what you have said. sure the economy changed, but the amount of ads had gotten just plain retarded!!!

  • 22.May.2011 HE IST BACK!

    THE BEST BOXER!

    /watch?v=HNguLwZMQ1I

  • is this guy seriously stoned?

  • @ThisLukeDaniel He's Australian. Justin Fortune is a pretty well known person in boxing and that's how he talks.

  • Is this guy short or is it an illusion?

  • Well to be honest, I'm might only use this on 28 people.

  • pivoting is only part of it. the timing and forcing of your bodyweight onto your fist upon impact is just as important. you'll feel it when you do it right.

  • now i have watched this vid im gonna go kill some black kid at my school who pisses me off

  • I think using bag gloves and not sparring gloves like you are would be a good start

  • boxers are not supposed to smoke dumb ass

  • Lol, look at Molezays comment that has 450+ likes and then go to the "Boxing Tips : How to Dodge a Punch" video that's to the right and check the top rated comment there

  • how did you get the hole on the shirt?

  • so do you need to clench ur leg muscles at all? how do you push out from the hips? Im trying now, ive think im doing it but I'm not too sure. Cheers

  • thanks great keep up the good work

  • all you fool need to watch MIKE TYSON how to improve your punching power

  • he punches so hard he tore his shirt.

  • Getting fucking sick of these youtube adverts before a vid

  • @octopuspick bonerific

    repeal obama,Buy our shaz,smoke wack

  • @octopuspick one word: adblock

  • @octopuspick haha dude i didnt even get an add

  • @octopuspick use adblock

  • Justine Fortune, Pacquiao's training coach.

  • *The awkward moment when you notice a hole in somebodies T-shirt*

  • Whats this guys name?

  • he has holes where his armpits are

  • great teaching video's though.

  • my girlfriend wont beat on me anymore!

  • Great video's very interesting. Love them. PyroNon stop~you are born with punching power, period. The ability to punch with that power is through training which this superb vid is showing you. Sadly if your backhand could not knock snow off a rope it never will.

  • gret tip... thanks

  • @onlyskateboards If there wasn't all of those things on youtube.com then users would have to pay 5 dollars to upload and view. Youtube.com has to pay the bills somehow and advertisements do so.

  • @onlyskateboards "adblock". problem solved

  • The title is really missleading. This is the technique that leads to punching hard, not building punching power. Building punching power might come from doing alot of heavy dumbbells in your hand while punching.

  • ..also helps if u step into the punch

  • That's the first thing my boxing coach taught me. He was like:

"When you punch with your right hand, the power comes from twisting your right hip like that"
