All autonomous research always have full circle of predictability, that is coming full circle from when it started, of coming to being twenty years from now, but never ever coming to full sentiency. We are fed possibilities, for example how many times have you heard, "scientists predict that in twenty years..."? the only successful build is Asimo but still nowhwere near Asimov robot intelligence. We can make all the tech advances we want, but we can't become robots or vice versa. Research it.

Research how impossible it would be for humans to cross over to total robots or machines, as much as you researched the possibility of it happening (emphasis on possibility) all autonomous research has a minimum life span of 5 to10 years, which it's possibility (the same each time) is predicted for 20 years in the future, before it's phased out. Which is again retried by a new gen 20 years after the first research only to be predicted to come to fruition [another] 20 years down the road.

The fact remains we haven't crossed that border, and if we even arrive at some crossroads, we would only become a more advanced type of cybernetic organism, then we are now (artificial legs, arms, movements), is all. There is never going to be a time where an electronic device will control us, the reverse is fact only because it's easier than mapping out out every little nueron to connect to every little nuero-net. Your fears of such aren't warrented research how it would be impossible, first.

...human, it would make itself much more dextorous then a human and the human body is so flawed it wouldn't be replicated by a robot. As for me, I love robots, I wish something like what happened in the recent terminator movie can happen to me...a man made into a cyborg (cybernetic organism) I like to imagine what posibilites I could accomplish...and forever...now, that would be cool. but I know for a fact that could never happen unlike "some people"...LMFAO

Besides, don't you think tha robots built by humans would be as inefficient, in dexterity, as humans? We can't even scratch the whole of our backs, much less wipe our ass correctly: we're going to expect better dexterity from a robot? a robots weakness would be the same as a human, the joints, ours are suprior to robots because our joints a fibrous sinews, muscle tissue, that bend and twist, not as efficient for a robot with mech. joints. But if a robot were to take over it wouldn't look...

as I said, Ironically what will take us humans over is our fears of what we do not understand. We see an automaton and it jolts us to think that we can play god and in all fields pertaining to science that the highest fear is brought home when one considers a life, albeit an artificial one, is created that isn't as human as god created but still very real, but it isn't. it's still inanimate (not alive) so anyon fears of such is unwarrented...

There will never be a day when a robot (that is not even one robot) will have accomplished human intelligence, we haven't scratched the surface of the human mind enough to develope an automaton that would be as intelligent, all robots are not artificially intelligent (they shouldn't be called that) they are artificially efficient or convenient because they would exist it would be efficient or convenient to us at the point in time...but there will never be a human equivelant robot...

2.) but what you all fail to see (jessicarose and dirtfire) is that they are all controlled, they're are not autonomous. As a matter of fact all humans (except for quiqui1396 and dirtfire) are smarter then any computer, let alone anything driven by a computer. Remember this; computers are FAST, EFFICIENT and STUPID. Humans are SLOW, INEFFICIENT and SMARTER simple as that. Look at a calculator cold, preprogrammed an inanimate...just like a robot, despite the CPU, motors, programs...

1.) The likelihood of robots overtaking humanity is as probable as your toaster holding you hostage in your own home. For those of you who suffer the "Frankenstein effect" (fear of robots going against their masters) the Intenet , being what it is, can allay those fears if you do the research...and it isn't even that hard to research, Jessicrose had pointed out that it's basically the asians creating these automatons, and the fear she has of them taking over, quiqui1396 and dirtfire...

Sure you can search up beam robotics they are probably the most simple robots to build and even a complete amateur to robotics can build a beam robot
