oh god. poor thing.... we have someone who is STARVING a horse near me. the person has had TEN abuse calls in the past few months, once there were three horses, i think she starved them to death... when we called animal control, they said the woman CLAIMS they're old and there trying to treat them, but i think shes just trying to kill them!

But in all seriousness there is a person that lives buy me and she was charged with over 100 acounts of animal cruelty and now after 3 years she owns about 20 more horses they look fine except for one that I can see but she has to many for the less then 10 acres she has. I don't know what to do you would think she would be banned from owning animals but they let her anyway.

There should be some sort of long term restrictions- at minimum there should be animals per acre rule - I think a horse who is not provided any supplemental forage or grain should be at a ratio no greater than 1 horse per 6 to 10 acres depending on pasture quality. I rotate pastures and provide grain, hay, and rice bran + beat pulp but keep no more than 1 horse per acre, and those acres are mowed, seeded, and sprayed!
@leggedup she has none of the above. The pasture is striped to nothing and there are rocks everywhere & I'm not saying small they range from the size of your head to a small horse and the land doesn't have much for a flat sureface so there always at some angle. I have seriously thought about taking some bales down there but I'm afriad that the neighbores and her will catch me. I just fell so bad. O and sence ive been there she has added another 20 horses/mules to her stash. Just sickening!!!

Ah this is awesome. I think it does well to point out that people are far too quick to judge people because they do something different while training or riding. Clearly your horse isn't abused, she isn't underfed and quite frankly, she looks like a well trained and well praised animal.
Funny comic vid and I can see the hose is very submissive. Her ears are back part of the time so that means she is unsure of what is happening part of the time. She is a submissive horse and most likely will never explode or buck. Does make me very nervous when you are close to a wall. And no helmet for you. Some green horses do explode on occasion and placing yourself against a wall or in front of them is never a good idea. And get a helmet, no need to have to live with a head injury!

Okay i have a sense of humor but that just wasn't funny at all. and from one horse owner to another....if you're training her and your training her to flex...you're doing it wrong. I've been training, and breaking horses for a couple years now and i dont know any horse trainer that flex's like that. You release the reign as soon as they give even a bit of slack. even if they act like their going to turn their head you let off.

She is a submissive horse and most likely will never explode or buck. Does make me very nervous when you are close to a wall. And no helmet for you. Some green horses do explode on occasion and placing yourself against a wall or in front of them is never a good idea. And get a helmet, no need to have to live with a head injury!

( rope halter is cruel, bareback is cruel, saddles are cruel, Western is cruel, English is cruel). @Andrea9514 I know a lot of horses who don't respond if you ride them "bit-less" so while it does work for some horses and can be a great way to go, it isn't always your best option.

Okay i have a sense of humor but that just wasn't funny at all. and from one horse owner to another....if you're training her and your training her to flex...you're doing it wrong. I've been training, and breaking horses for a couple years now and i dont know any horse trainer that flex's like that. You release the reign as soon as they give even a bit of slack. even if they act like their going to turn their head you let off.

Less than half of the people in the world working with horses actually knows what their doing. With all my respect. Training a horse and a making a videoclip is not the best combination. You lose your focus on the horse while actually that's the only thing you should be focussing on..
