Wow, Ever since the movie Amadeus came out. People can't help bringing up Mozart in comments. Which I am doing now, But I like Antonio Salieri's compositions. I personally prefer Mozart, But that doesn't mean Salieri is any less of a composer.

Saliere was great. He wrote phantastic music.

Mozart, was one of the greatest.

Bach, Mozart and Beethoven are maybe the best of all time. Just my mind.

Hearing this it makes obvious that Franz Schubert was a pupil of Salieri, really really beautiful, bravo Antonio!

I'd rather listen to Mozart,but that's my taste,I think there's no such thing to say like saying one composer is better than other...but again,if Mozart is more known than Salieri maybe he's better?

Even though cast negatively (with probable cause?), publicity wise the movie Amadeus probably did more for Salieri's music then anything. Personally I find him to be an excellent composer. His inferiority complex to Mozart could resemble the rumor of Eric Clapton wanting to burn his own guitar after hearing Hendrix play for the 1st time. Hey, both were excellent guitarists, just as Mozart & Salieri were great composers. Mozart (& Hendrix) are the better of the 2. So what? They are ALL great!

Salieri-wunderschön. Zu Unrecht wird dieser herrliche Compositeur so selten aufgeführt und immer wieder wird er unschuldig mit Mozarts Todt in Verbindung gebracht. Daß er seinerzeit als Hofdirigent Mozart vorgezogen wurde,

war eine individuelle Entscheidung, denn für mich ist er weder besser noch schlechter als Mozart. Ich kann fast gleichgroße Genies nicht untereinander abwägen, dazu bin ich zu klein !

Actually, it isn't hard at all. For with the passage of time, it is possible to gain a sense of what manages to pass the review of time, and time is a dispassionate, sometimes cruel, but almost always a cold critiquer. Mozart lavishes composition, Salieri merely disposes. The difference is in the heart of the man, not the result.

@bubblykings Seriously? Are you kidding? Not much of a serious music student, are you? This is competent composition, absolutely, but genius? The performance is very good, which I would expect from Bamert. However, there's very little going on here chromatically or rhythmically that makes it real of great interest.
