Hi Juanster..that's one of those Krishnamurti Conundrums...he would probably say that when you come to that realization on your own...not just intellectually that a transformation would take place...but you have to see it deeply..then theproblem is how fo you reach that particular depth he speaks of,eh...cheers..D
Many thanks for uploading this wonderful dialogue. If one listens without prejudices without your thoughts interfering in the listening then what Krishnaji says is bound to make a transformation within you without your asking or your volition. If not one has not listened. Only heard some words and interpreted those words according to your past knowledge.
6:25 "we are lived on this earth as human beings for very very long time, which is called revolution and during that revolution our experience, knowledge, thinking, all the things that man has put together, including these superstitious, these Gods... and it comes down to this actual fact 'what is happen to each one of us?' " I think he says all things about life and death are invented by man so when we look outside of it, we see what we are--mere human with life and death, nothing spiritual.
"Please bear in mind this is not a lecture. You have not comed to listen to me. You have come to listen to yourself"
He's basically telling that he has nothing to add to anyone. What he's telling to the audience is that they are full without any teaching or any adicional knowledge.
Theres almost an air of resignation in the way he speaks in these last talks.
He decries a lack of response from the audience and then when someone tries to contribute he shoots him down with "I dont understand what your talking about!"
Krishna says, the thinker is the thought and the thought is the thinker. That one has to go beyond thought or negate thought. How does one go beyond thought if thought is all that one knows?
thinking is different from knowing. if thinking is all one 'knows', one doesn't know anything at all. knowing is awareness. awareness of one's own individual psyche - the consciousness of self of which one's thoughts created. that's going beyond the thought - from thought to awareness, intuition, etc.
Basically, you can think this and believe that, but what do you know? Knowledge of self is the only knowledge - its inner, not 'out there', because 'out there' doesn't exist, you shape your world.
@Juanster23 I think there's a difference between a thought and a person only when a person is able to perceive their thoughts. The deeper you perceive your thoughts, the easier it is to transcend them, or notice their flaws and improve them.
@Juanster23 what makes u think that thought is all that one knows? and if so what's ur frame of reference here? Knows when? When one is born? when he or she is in college? or maybe after one dies? lol
@Juanster23 That sounds more like non-duality. The thinker and the thought and non-dual. Imo, I don't recall having heard J.K having told us to negate thought, as negation or any effort is still self-directed. J.K always said about 'choiceless awareness', about observing purely without the observer or centre, without the self. Just to understand the nature of everything we experience.
@Juanster23 He also says the truth is pathless and can't be reached by intellectual analysis or introspective dissection. It can found through the mirror of relationship and understanding contents of own mind through observation.
@Juanster23 by ceasing to associate oneself with thought or thinker obviously, if one must go beyond thought, one must not be the thought or the thinker ; )
@Juanster23 he talks about just listening. he listens to the crows but doesn't invite thought in to say "what annoying crows" or "be quiet already" :P
@Juanster23... its the self behind the thought which lies beyond both thought and thinker (the physical vehicle ) , K means to go beyond both ...not easy but can be done

but what if the observer outside of thought is just another form/shadow of thought?
or as if the clearness of minds is just a manipulation of mind itself
Mind is such a perplexing place,
