Wow this really is my history. I ended up a hopeless alcoholic by 29 but believed the whole time. I started to walk with Christ and am free from my affliction. Now I must hold every thought captive to the obedience of Christ and I am free from the world. Still a sinner but sanctification is a journey. Emotions are deceptive. The Word is not.

God used your life as a testimony to others, Its funny how God wastes nothing, not even our folly! But when we reach to the point of seeing ourselves we run to God as the Prodigal son to his Father and when we try to tell God how sorry we are He has already forgiven our sins and just want to hug, kiss us, clean us, give a new robe (His righteousness), throw us a party, and put a signet ring our finger that states what family we belong to, a seal (The Holy Spirit).

Then why are so many people opposed to the idea of gays being Christian? As a born-again, spirit-filled Christian who loves the Lord, I unfortunately find about 1/2 of the Christians I encounter have ZERO listening for the idea that God created gay people. As you say, "we can be quick to judge without knowing the circumstance." Those opposed to the idea of gay Christians, do not listened to us explain our circumstances. They say circumstances don't matter. So, why are woman an exception?

From what I know this scripture was talking about women asking their Husbands questions and disrupting the service, so Paul says let them ask their husband at home, its not to say women cannot preach. Really God used Deborah as a judge because a man wouldnt step up to the plate and He, God said he will pour out his spirit on all flesh. If you are a Christian you are not gay but struggling with that spirit, life and death is in the power of the tongue, speak victory from that spirirt!!
