If you've ever seen "Holy Mountain," it's easy to understand how monumentally disappointing it was that this version was never made. And this is coming from someone who utterly adores the Lynch version.
An actual STARGATE/PORTAL-THING was caught on film in New Mexico. The footage can be found within the short-film entitled "SUDDEN PORTHOLE", which is parked at the PROJECT CAMELOT YouTube page (it's under the George Noory video).
I'm not selling anything…I'm just trying to spread the word about the unseen-dimensions we find ourselves embedded in.

@hellcaddie2002 I guess you're right. Don't get me wrong, I usually dislike CGI, but I thought it would be a lot cheaper for Jodo. But I guess just imagining what the film would be like would be enough, and also it definitely fuels Jodo creatively. Thanks for being reasonable about this, though, unlike other YouTube commenters.
they could still make this film. orson welles and dali couldn't be in it, but they could get someone else. plus, now they have cgi (which is not necessarily a good thing, but could be for this film). pink floyd could still do the music, or you could get radiohead, the arcade fire, etc. anyway, they should still make this!
@WakingParadise97 + where are you going to find a director who thinks that the universe is telling him to make the novel "dune" into a prophecy for humanity's future (and who (and the production crew) hasn't seen, or cares to see, david lynch's version, starting from scratch, like it hasn't been attempted before)? the documentary will be enough, and maybe we should all just turn the books we love, and that speak to us, into movies inside of our own heads. imagination demands better than remakes
@WakingParadise97 everything you just said convinces me that sleeping dogs should stay sleeping in this case. CGI is mostly a joke, turning the entire world into just a lame computer game; bands aren't as good as they once were because no musician makes enough money anymore to be able to dedicate their lives to making the wildest sounds in their heads come true using actual musical instruments (instead using computers which is also turning the sound of everything into the same digital junk)...
If anyone wants to know what this would be like, read Jodorowksy's comics. After failing to make Dune, he decided to team up with Moebius. The comics are The Incal, The Metabarons, Megalex, and The Technopriests. His comics are mindblowing, even more so than his films.
@CrocoDuck420 Dali was fired because he praised Franco for executing Basque terrorists.This was in the news in '75. I recall this well, as I was in art school and looking forward to seeing the film(Dali was extremely unpopular with the school's faculty). I never heard anything about a fight over money.
Why didn't he made Dune comic book when he alredy had the sketches, the screenplay, the rights and comic book artist? He should do that, instead of Incal and similar stuff...
Alejandro Jodorowsky's Dune is one of the failed films I most wish was made, along with Terry Gilliam's Harry Potter and Guillermo del Toro's The Hobbit.
@SPRLDR I agree! All of those films would have been great to see! I still can't beleive this was never made! It would without a doubt one of, if not the best sci-fi films ever! So many talented people working on it! Jodorowsky, Moebius, H.R. Giger, Pink Flyod, Dan O'Bannon, Salvador Dali. This would have been incredible!
