Why is this not famous? Ive been all over the internet looking for it and there isnt even so much as a website for the lyrics! Its soooo incredible, whyyyyyyy?!
OMG!! I can't believe I finally found The Coastliners. Used to dance to this at Mt Carmel High School dances in 1966/67 in Houston TX. I am also looking for Splash 1 by The Clique.
Yeah, it's a sappy song, but it reminds me of when I was a little kid...when I still had my Mom. I lost her in '03...but she knew this song because I used to play it over and over . She never complained about the music that I listened to...
Thank you sunshinetunes67 for this post!!! This song brings back sooo many great memories of a simpler time in my life. As sappy as you think this is, it takes me to my "happy place" and those special people that were part of my life at that time that I will never forget. Great job!
I am so sorry! I thought I had replied to this upload. Thank You so Much! Yes, sappy song, but you have to admit they sounded good. Much like the Beach Boys. Thanks Again Sunshine!
I get that about wimpy mood, but ya gotta realize, over 40 yrs ago that was a great song. And they were just a local band. Lead singer lived directly across the street from me & I had front-row seat in BR to listen to them practice about 3-4 nights a week. It's just a load of 1964-68 great memories, that's all. Got to admit they had a sound going on. Again, sorry it took me so long to respond. I really that I had right after you posted. :))
OMG! Haven't heard this in years! Was one of my favorite songs as a teenager...Saw them at Taylor Hall in Pasadenaummm must have been 65 ish!

The Coastliners were from Baytown, just east of Houston. "I'll be Gone", the flip is a really great rocker with a hard driving beat
